The birthday celebration that turned into proposal, became the top trending topic of the country. The couple that both Dominant even become the best couple of the year. And even they didn't release the date of their wedding, everyone is waiting for the announcement.

After that successful celebration, the death of Cedric Lopez become a number two topic of the town. The information about his children who didn't get the chance to come for their father became the question of some people interested in their lives. Although Ivan explained everything, he still couldn't erase the assumptions of other people. Especially when the news that Cedric planned the death of all Sebastian family members.

Daveryl read the article but didn't talk about it. He just ignored the news and continue to live as Daveryl who pretends to be just a normal person who fell in love with Jobel Lopez before. However, Jaime didn't let go the one who wrote the article that mentioned Daveryl's name.

One year have passed and the wedding date has been decided. Daveryl asked Jaime to wait until he graduated from school and the alpha agreed. Their companies become one and become the only company who currently producing products that no other companies can copy.

Daveryl once again smile and leaned his back on the backrest of the chair. Jobel and him became close friends that Jaime agreed. And sometimes, he also talk to Jobel if Daveryl is taking a bath during the call or if Daveryl is getting their snacks.

"En, sure. Anyway, did you still not contact him?" He's referring to Ivan.

He saw the man on the screen pause and scratch his nape. "No, actually.. I'm seeing someone right now. But we're not dating! I'm just trying to figure out my feelings if I do really love Ivan or I'm just under the influence of the bond. And besides, he's an alpha. I'm not sure if he still like me after a year."

Daveryl can clearly see the sadness in Jobel's eyes but he didn't say anything about it. Ivan, Ivan is actually the same. He keeps mentioning Jobel everytime they met. And Daveryl well informed that Ziana is now dating an Alpha who actually her boss. At first, they both uncomfortable with each other everytime they talk but little by little, they already adopted the situation and finally become close.

As Ricky Sebastian and their father's ex-boyfriend, Daveryl carved in his mind that the two siblings are his niece and he have responsibilities to them. He can't abandon the fact that, he is the reason why these two souls become miserable after he ruined their family. That's why, he secretly hired people to secretly secure their safety in Canada.

"Hello Ziana. Going to your date again?" He said.

The woman pouted her lips and stare at him on the screen. "Hey, Daveryl! Tell me the truth, did you hired someone to secretly guard us siblings?" Ziana is looking so serious.

"Hmp! My boyfriend saw the person you hired and secretly hired someone to investigate. He thought it was my stalker so he did that." Ziana and Jobel are now looking at him.

And because he doesn't want to admit it, he act like he have something to do. He tried to say goodbye to the siblings but he stopped when Ziana speak again.

"Thank you.. And, you don't have to be overprotected with us. I already have someone who is protecting me and, I know for sure, Jobel will be protected by your friend Ivan in the future. We are happy to be able to be connected to you." Ziana said who received a gentle kick from Jobel.

Daveryl rubs his fingers and gulped. He feels something gripping his chest and his eyes feels hot suddenly. He averted his gaze and moved it to the door that is now slowly opening. Jaime entered the room and look at him worried. Well, it's because his pheromones are releasing an emotion that is connected to his feelings at the moment.

"Davy, I know you still thinking about us as your family because of what you promised to our father before but, you are now Daveryl Ortega and not Ricky. Just as Ziana finished her words, Daveryl tears rolled down to his cheeks. Jaime immediately runs towards him and he embraced him tightly.

"See? Your alpha cares for you. So, stop worrying about us and focus on your own life from now on. I have to go now, my boyfriend is waiting for me." Ziana finished her words and leave after that.

Jobel make a sounds of clearing his throat before he also said goodbye to him.

On the other hand, Jaime landed a kiss on Daveryl's forehead before he get the laptop away from the crying man. Daveryl continue to cry while being hug by his alpha. His emotions burst out finally.

So the reason why he can't moved on about his past life is because, he still living with the past memories and not his current life. That's explained everything why does he always feels empty or incomplete.

Jaime pinned him on the bed and just wiped his tears while looking at him lovingly. He didn't speak nor make any sound. He just keeps planting kisses on Daveryl face while comforting him. He knows, after this night, they will be more happy as couple. He can't wait to see how this man pamper him.

"Daveryl, I know it's difficult for you to forget your past life. But, I'm still here for you until you finally forget it and be the person who can live happily and freely with me." Jaime said while cupping his face.

He nodded his head and sniff one more time before he hugs Jaime more tightly. On Daveryl's mind, he'll do his best to be this man's future husband.

"Thank you.. I love you Jaime."

"I love you so much." Jaime answered as he captured his mouth.
