So close to having everything.

Raina jolted in her sleep, squirming and struggling and breathing heavily. She could hear noises on the outside, but she couldn't move and was barely breathing. She heard her grandfather speaking..... "the whole world would be hers". Raina drifted off to another, lost in an unfamiliar place. Then... She saw herself, it's was dark and all she could see was a her. Her?! The whole world.... Mine. She saw it, her plan.... To control everything, the governments, the military, the politics, the youth through the media and the old through the truth. It was all going to be hers, a little bit of everything.

Marrying Kai would increase her political and government stability and even increase her military power. She owned the more than 20% shares in all entertainment industry's and had the support of all the old powers in the world, the elders of all the powerful families. She was so close. So close to having everything.... But still she was empty. Raina returned to the darkness, she could hear the outside again but still couldn't move.

She heard her name... Was it Kai? Her body jolted again a feeling of suffocation came over her, she saw Mo Chen grabbing her throat, tears rolled down her cheeks.... Mo Chen was only a year older than her, when his family killed her parents she had killed all of them... Even him, who was completely innocent. She felt her heart in her throat. His grip tightened. She felt death drawing near, when she was still so young... Someone grabbed her, she felt there arms around her, during her tears....

Kai saw Raina jolting in her sleep, struggling to breath, she was crying, sobbing bitterly without making a sound, her forehead creased and her body was shaking. Kai immediately wiped her tears and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry", he whispered in her ears.

Raina stopped shaking her hand grabbed his arm. She still wasn't awake, but she could move her hand.

"K-kkai", she said softly. Holding his hand.

Was he what was missing? she asked herself.

Kai heard Raina say his name, he sat back down and held her hand. She would wake up tomorrow he told himself. Kai stayed up till past 3 waiting for even a flicker of movement. He eventually fell asleep, his head on the hospital bed.

And hour past before Raina woke up, she sat up and noticed Kai holding her hand, he looked extremely tired and worn. She smiled to herself. Maybe.... She could fall I love again..... And. Maybe it would be him this time.
