Hearing representative's appraisal for Alex, Evelyn felt lucky to get such a caring husband. Previously she wanted to keep a distance from him because of his behavior from the start when she transmigrated here, but today's event gave her new perspective about him. He could be some time caring aprt from his cold aura. She felt like she was favoured some fortune. Even though he rejected not buying but in the end he brought that pendent for her. Alex gritted his teeth. Annoyed by not getting any news about her. He took a champagne and drank in one gulp. He was frustrated and annoyed. It's been a two years and he didn't find any clue. Now seeing pendent he got a new rays of hope in a dark . While deep in thought he didn't released he drank two bottle of champagne. Evelyn bewildered by seeing drinking capacity.
A man approach to their table "Mr. Zeilinski, your pendent and thank you for coming. This will be great help for needy people. As every one know all the money of auction will be distribute in three NGO. "
And man turned to Evelyn "thank you Mrs. Zeilinski, you are lucky to have such a wonder husband who gave you everything you want and didn't even care for money." Man smiled to couple and bid his bye and left their table.
One was blushing because of getting compliment and other one was didn't even bothered by surrounding, he just looking at pendant loving, reminiscing Rose and his memory.
Evelyn waiting for his actions to give pendent but after some amount she hasn't got any response. Taking deep breath Evelyn said " Aren't you giving this pendent to me"
Alex reverie was broken by Evelyn voice.
"Why should I give you" He didn't pay any attention to her. He just kept looking pendent, gently caressing as if he was touching his Rose.
"This is not for me then who's" Evelyn heart was beating fast. She didn't know anything about this guy in front of her, but still she was longing for him. She didn't want this man to love someone elese. She wanted to Only for herself. Fiddling her Finger, looking down ' Am I asking for too much. I didn't have parents to love. Even though orphanage accepted me and gave shelter and food but I was lonely. No one was talking to me as if I was invisible to them. Schooling and graduation was also did by own. I didn't have anyone relay on. Every stage of life people bullied me, but I didn't lost my hope. Thought that some day I'll will get everything. But at the end what I got?? Nothing. I didn't even know how I died. Why me??? . After Transmigrated here, I just want a simple family, wanted to be loved' her eyes became wet. She wanted to cry but control herself.
"This is none of business" Said Alex got up from chair and tried to walk but stumble because of drunk. He didn't even hold ro himself. Evelyn help him to walk. Silently they drove to Zei apartment. She helped him to get off the car and went to his room on 1st floor. Lied him on his bed gently, didn't want to wake him, loosing his tie so that he didn't suffocate, removed his shoes carefully. Slowly covering thin mattress to his body till his chest. She was ready to left but Alex hold her hand, she looked at him, caressing his face and removing his hand from her.
"Please don't leave me again" Evelyn heard Alex pleading voice.
"I am not leaving Alex. I'm here with you" She was happy that Alex wanted to stay her. she was brimming with joy.
"See, what I have got for you" Alex brought pendent box and Placing pendent to her neck.
His actions touched her heart. She knew Alex was joking with her on dinner. But her delusion was broke by his next sentence.
"I know you will come to me, Rose. I love you Rose" Saying Alex dosed off. He didn't even realise she was not Rose.
Evelyn broke into tears. She was crying and sad because Alex loved someone else. There was no place place for her in his heart.
"I'll be fine," she whispered in a distant, flat, quiet, lifeless voice. she sank into his bed with sadness, and stared into the peaceful sleeping face of his, feeling hopeless and empty and sad. Life seemed so pointless now. All her hope vanished. She couldn't even bring himself to stand; she felt too sick with longing for him.
