Cross's Game

She didn't expect something good to happen in real life. As long as she was safe and sound, nothing bad would happen today. James saw that Emmy was in a stable mood, so he took a fruit knife and peeled an apple for her.

"Did the kidnappers say why they kidnapped you?" He asked as he handed the peeled apple to her. Emmy took a bite of the apple and nodded.

"Well, they said they were going to take pictures and videotape me. I was afraid".

"Take pictures? Videos?" James frowned even more.

"In that case, it's really Cassie behind the scenes."

"Is that she?" She looked at him.

"Is it confirmed? Have the kidnappers been caught?"

"The kidnappers abandoned the car and ran away. The car was pushed into the river. It was washed away by the rain, leaving no fingerprints." He shook his head and said in confusion:

"Cassie, on the other hand, stayed in first class and didn't run away."

"Maybe she isn't?" Emmy also thought about it.
