WHAT ARE YOU, STUPID?

The next morning we find Dontae behind his desk signing documents, going over contracts, taking phone calls and attending meetings via satellite. He was in a foul mood because this morning Amari gave him an ultimatum that if he doesn't get his priorities straight and understand who his woman actually is, then there's no reason to be together and the wedding will be off.

He had no time to think about the little things, so he thought, at this time. He kept in mind that the representative from Dru firm will be in his meeting room in and hour. He ordered everyone, the design department, the legal department and his assistant to make sure everything was top notch and all their demands were met.

Dru Firm a top advertising company that is based in New York. They wanted to build an office building in downtown Melbourne, Fl. They went to many Architect Firms in Central Florida and was disappointed by most.

They settled on Accutect because not only did they have the best design, but they also had other designs that they wanted for their Miami office as well.

In deep thought about work his secretary buzz in. " Mr. Kim, I have Ms. Irie here to see you. Shall I send her in?" his secretary Shuan asked. " Sure, send her in Shuan." he replied " Yes, sir." she replied.

Knocking on the door Inu peeped her head in. " I got the files you asked for."

While continuing to sign documents not lifting his head " Thanks. Just leave them on the coffee table and I will get to them later."

Inu placed the files on the coffee table as he asked. She looked at him and noticed a frown on his face " What's wrong with my cry baby?" She asked as she walked over to his desk.

She stood behind him and started massaging his shoulders.

He stopped what he was doing to enjoy the much needed massage. " Its nothing. Anari is mad because she think that you have a crush on me and that you don't respect her or our relationship." He vented as she rubbed and squeezed his shoulders. " I told her that you were not evil and that you were misunderstood. Heck, we've been knowing each other since high school. We're close enough, that if you did have a crush on me, you would tell me." he continued.

" Who me?" She stopped and put her right hand over her chest as if she was shocked to hear these words. " I may tease you a lot, but it doesn't mean that I like you or that I want you." she said as she started massaging his shoulders again. " You see, I told you that this girl is not the one. She's paranoid, lies and jump to conclusions. You don't need that in your life. Your job is stressful enough, why add more burdens? You have so much going for yourself." Even though she said that she didn't like him, she was lying to get him to turn on Amari.

She hated Amari so much that she wants her dead. Her plan to get her to take the ecstasy was ruined by his mother.

Two years ago at the Employee and Shareholders ball, she had two men waiting in the kitchen of the Ritz Carlton to kidnap, rape and kill Amari.

This year she has a fail proof plan to get her out of the picture.

As she finished massaging his shoulders. She turned him around in his chair. She leaned down and looked him in the eyes and placed a tender kiss on his lips.

He was almost drawn into the kiss by the softness of her lips and her perfume. A scent of black orchid and juniper oil made him think of Amari. He quickly realized that she was Inu.

In shock with his eyes bulged out of his head, he pushes her away. Catching his breath and wiping his lips. He was almost speechless.

" Inu, what are you doing? What did you just do?" he said with roughness in his voice.

Laughing she said " Proving a point."

" You dont have to kiss me to prove it."

" Yes I do. Cause if I liked you or you liked me, you wouldn't have pushed me away and I would let you do more than what you didn't do. I'm disgusted by your stinky hot breath. If I wanted any part of you, I would've done more and let you see more than just that. So tell your b**ch to keep her mind out of the gutter when it comes to me. Tell her to stop daydreaming of you and I. You're not even on my menu list. Bye sex slave." She said as she left the room.

Upset, confused and shocked. He started to think what would Amari say or do if she knew about this. He better keep this to himself.

Outside the office Inu smiled devilishly as she thought ' Step one down. Two more to go and then bye bye b**ch.'

Later that evening Dontae decided to hang out at an upscale bar downtown.

Sativa is a push upscale bar downtown. With Beautiful golden chandeliers hanging from the cathedral ceiling. The stoles, seat and booths were genuine leather. The tables were cherry wood and the walls were full of pictures of Top CEO's in the city and near by cities.

Not just anyone could come in. There was a list and if you weren't on it or were not invited by a member, you could not get in.

Too notch executives went there to enjoy there evening without being noticed since the lighting were dimly lit.

Dontae invited Antonio, Markus and Timothy for a few drinks. They were all happy about the upcoming wedding and were reading each other as usual. Dontae felt he needed this time with the two days he has had.

He couldn't help but bring up the Amari- Inu situation. It was bothering him to where he couldn't concentrate on work. Plus, he was bothered by the kiss Inu gave him.

" Amari doesn't like Inu. She told me to talk to her about her behavior before the wedding because she wants a peaceful day." Dontae said and sighed. He was sad and upset because he was caught between these two women that he loved and cared about.

" What happened?" asked Timothy. Timothy is a black man with curly hair, soft brown eyes, a narrow chin and a round nose.

He's like the older brother in the group. He's responsible, dependable and he always give good advice when needed.

He isn't talkative nor is he shy. He could carry on a conversation when spoken to or a good topic popped up. He is an engineer at Atlantictab.

"Don't tell me you don't know? They're like oil and water whenever they are around each other. Insults are said and cuss words are thrown. I'm afraid there will be a fight soon and I'm going to have to bail them both out." Dontae said.

" Well, what happened these past two days? That's what he was asking." said Markus.

Markus is a white man with green eyes, straight nose and rugged face.

He is a straightforward guy. He pretty much told you what was on his mind when he was thinking of it. No filter, no chaser. He is an accountant with his own firm.

" Last night Amari asked me to take to Inu. She wants her to behave herself on the wedding day. Today, Iowa's going to talk to her about it, but I vented to her about Amari's." Dontae replied.

" Wait a minute. Why are you talking to another woman about your woman?" Timothy asked.

" I don't know. I was mad. Amari, last night, she told me to stop defending a woman who is not my woman. This morning she gave me an ultimatum saying if I dont get my priorities straight, then there will be no wedding. I was mad cause it feels like she's testing my live and my sincerity. It's like I can't talk to the opposite sex." Dontae replied angrily. He picked up his shot glass full of bourbon and poured it down his throat. The burn in his throat made him his and squint his face. He asked the bartender to pour him another glass.

" What did Inu say to this?" asked Antonio. Antonio is Puerto Rican with curly hair in a ponytail. Dimples on both cheeks, a small pointy nose and a narrow chin. He's a fifth grade teacher.

He's the jokester of the bunch. He's only serious when it comes to work.

" She said that she told me that Amari wasn't the one and that she lied, paranoid and jumps to conclusions. ut what shocked me today was the kiss she gave me on my lips. She said if she wanted me, then she would've done more than that and that I wasn't on her menu." replied Dontae.

" WHAT? SHE KISSES YOU?" All three men yelled in unison.

The upscale bar got quite. Eyes were all on them Mean stares from executives and CEO's as if these men don't belong here.

The men didnt pay attention to the room, so they carried on with their conversation.

" What? Is she a lesbian?" Antonio asked " Why wouldn't you be on her menu if she wasn't"? he said with a little chuckle.

" The way she kissed me was inviting, warm and soft. I almost forgot who's lips were on mine cause her perfume smells like Amari's hair and I almost pulled her close to me. Until shock kicked in and I pushed her away." Dontae said.

" What are you stupid? What if Amari walked in and saw that? What would you have said? What would you have done?" yelled Timothy.

" That's why I pushed her away. And don't let me mention the text last night."

" There was a text too? Yeah, you're stupid. What did it say?" Markus asked with clenched teeth.

" She was talking about the meeting today with the representative from Dru Firm. We nailed it. We're designing their new office building in Melbourne."

" Was that the only thing mentioned in the text?" Timothy asked

" Nope. She also said that if I succeed in getting this contract, then she will give me a blow job, but she said she was kidding and that she will give me a blow pop lollipop."

Timothy, Markus and Antonio all looked at each other with suspiciously and looked back at Dontae.

" No wonder Amari is upset with you and asked you to talk to Inu. You're stupid and you just dont see it." said Timothy as he patted Dontae on his right shoulder.

" See what?"

" That Inu has a crush on you dummy." said Markus.

" I've known you since middle school and I've known it since you guys met in high school." said Antonio.

" No she don't. I'm not on her menu."

"Stupid, she said that to throw you off. She wanted to kiss you. She wants you to talk bad about Amari. Why are you this dumb? You were valedictorian in college. Where is your brain now?" asked Markus.

" Listen, from now on keep your distance from her. Walk the other way when you see her. Don't answer her text or calls. Have your secretary to collect the files from Inu and tell her that Inu is not allowed in your office. Stand clear of her." said Timothy.

" But"

" But nothing. You're getting married. Inu wants to come between that. Stop trying to find excuses. Stay away from her." Markus yelled.

" Whatever, okay. I'll stand clear and keep my distance from one of my bestest friends. But it feels wrong."

" NO IT'S NOT." The three guys yelled and the bar got quite again. This time the noticed and said their sorries.

" Okay. I'm going home. Bye". Dontae stood up, straightened himself up. Sulked and walked towards the bar door and left
