"What are we going to do with that woman?" Ethan whispered as they got away from Mallory's territory. They were walking along the road.
"Why don't you bring her to your old home?" Angeline suggested.
"No, that's not a good plan. And I don't want to carry any responsibility," Ethan disagreed. "I wouldn't mind her staying in my place. It's just that the curious councils are confused about what she had to do with the two fang men and might question her, which would involve you and me."
"Alright, brother, let me talk to her if you don't mind, " she said, and she put her arms around the young woman's shoulder, who remained bent over and sobbing quietly.
