After that, I finally smiled heartily.

Hhhugh! Finally!

Right then the burden in my heart went away. Its the first time I felt so light, so free, and so happy.

I'm finally gonna be free from my past. And I'm ready to face whatever the world trough at me.

At 25 years old, I finish my M.Arch along side my AXP.

Yehey!!!

Then took the ARE (Architect Registration Examination) after receiving my Authorization to Test.

As I waited for the result, Alisha announced her promotion. She was promoted with the condition she transfer to the Big Apple. She was adamant at first then her mom, Antonia, persuade her to follow her heart. And every one have dreamed of living in New York once in their life.

So, Alisha decided to accept her promotion.

We were so happy for her, she is very talented and someone have finally noticed that. So Alisha flew to New York the same week the result came.

"Congratulation, you are now a Licensed Architect."

That sentence change my life for ever.

I started working as a Junior Architect at Finn & Buchanan. In those fancy building and offices downtown.

Alexander was their to help and guide me. And I am very thankful to him.

It was a great job with great work mates at first. Then envy and jealousy came in between.

Some of my office mates were angry because even if I'm young and new, some of the big projects were given to me and my team. Many were disatisfied with that, they say that the firm were partial with me because I'm a Malcolm Baby.

I am part of the Malcolm Babies, as we are called. Malcolm Babies, because of Alexander Malcolm. He have been in this field for a very long time and he have helped a lot of aspiring architects to be one. And those who went through his hand are called his babies. And most of them are very well know and successful in the architecture field all over the country.

The MB became an organisation of architects who help each other and have each others back. That's why in this field MB are very well known, and I'm the last baby.

This have put a lot of strain to the relationship of me and my colleagues.

"Emma I know that some have been antagonizing you." Alexander said to me as he ushered in his office sofa.

"It's fine Alexander, I know their just jealous of me." Answered as I sit.

"Yes, they are jealous of you. They know that the firm is fair to every one."

I nod at Alexander, agreeing.

"But, Emma some of them have talked to Mr. Buchanan about it because they know Mr. Finn would not hear them." He looked at me seriously, as he explain. "And Mr. Buchanan has been getting of the nerves of Mr. Finn because of this."

I continue to listen to Alexander.

"I can still protect you now Emma, but you know that Im retiring I will not always be her for you. Who will protect you here? Mr. Finn cant do any thing as long as Mr. Buchanan is on his face all the time." He informed me.

"Your finally retiring?" Looking at him with a frown in my face.

"Yes, I'am Emma. I'm old. I want to spent my time with my family."

I was sad he was leaving. And he has been my pillar and strength for many years.
