"The unplanned daughter"

That's what Emma would hear every day for 18 years.

Due to busy schedule, the Slone couple planned to have a single child to be the heir of their thriving Supermarket Chain in New Mexico. So, Emma per say grew up in a small time millionaire parents, which makes her rich in material sense.

But, she is the second child.

Due to their schedule everything in the life of The Slone couple is planned, from their meals, what to wear, where to go, what to do, and even how many children to have. So, the busy couple planned and conceived Elsa Slone, the heiress. Beautiful and smart Elsa, with blonde hair from her mother and light grey eyes from her father, the apple of the eye for the Slone couple and they were happy.

But this only lasted for four years because the unplanned thing happened.

They are pregnant again! A second unplanned child who will destroy the planned life of the Slone Family.

To remedy the situation the couple decided to abort the baby. This was the answer to their problem, so they are going to do it. But, the pregnancy of Elizabeth Slone was made know to the help around the house so the gossip passed on to another then another until it reached the ears of her socialite friends.

"I heard your going to have another child Elizabeth. Congratulations!", says a Elena Parker, a socialite friend of Elizabeth.

"Ha? What? Ahhh….. Where did you heard that?", questioned Elizabeth.

She was thinking 'how did they know about my pregnancy. They are not supposed to know. I'm gonna went through the abortion procedure the day after tomorrow.'

"Well you know that gossip is the only thing these people know right", referring to the maids around, "Oh! I'm sorry. Was it supposed to be a surprise?"

"No! ahh...h... Yes! I mean it was supposed to be announced later", she answered nervously.

After that gathering a lot of maids were laid off from their jobs for gossiping.

The couple, to save face decided to stop the abortion plan and leave the baby alone. But, it also made them resent the unborn child for being unplanned and almost making them lose face in front of their millionaire friends.

So, when the child was born they hired a nanny to take care of the child. The nanny took care of the baby and even named her herself. Because after the birth Elizabeth and Andrew Slone did not even spend a single glace to the baby.

The nanny, Natalia, became a baren woman after a freak accident that killed her husband and daughter. So, she focus all her attention and love to baby Emma.

The parents neglected Emma. They act as if she did not exist in the house. And this can be seen even in their bedroom arraingement.

The Slone house is big. Its a seven bedroom house with two floors. Its an L shape design, in which the tail end of the L shape house faces a grand pool. The tail end is the Masters Area. The Slone couple's bedroom is situated there. And Elsa's room is situated adjacent to the masters area.

While Emma's room is in the opposite end of the house. If the Parents and Elsa is in the tail the Emma's room is in the head.

As Emma grew up she began to realise the diffrence of how her parents treat her and her older sister. Her parents cater to the every wants and need of her sister. They always talk to her. They always give her presents. They laugh with her.

She realise they care for Elsa but neglect her.

Even if Elsa was not cruel to Emma but she acts as if she does not exist just like their parents.

In contrast, the Help around the house addores Emma. She is beautiful with black hair and traces of natural red highlights from the Slone family and light grey eyes from her father. She is also intelegent and a clever girl.

Her Nanny Natalia loves her like a daughter and this is the only consolation Emma got in her childhood.

"Aghh! If shes not the young miss I would really bash her face in the floor", says Madeline towards the Abigail in the kitchen counter.

"Well who does not, but we cant do anything about it were just the help around here"

"Gosh! How can anyone be such an arrogant ungrateful brat, she thinks she can do anything!", says Madeline fuming.

"Well she can do anthing around here, shes the heiress and the favorite." answered Abigail

"Ggrrr! Dont make me remember! How can they favor such a brat over our cute Emma, I just don't understand." Madeline still rumbling about her dissatisfaction was repremanded by Nanny Natalia who arrived in the kitchen.

"Maddy, you cant say bad things about our employer, you know that right. If they hear you, you'ld be fired from your job. You know how defensive they are of Elsa."

"Yeah, I know I just dont like it. How can they let her be like that."

"We cant do anything about how they raise their daughter where just the Help. Now go on with you work." Even if Natalia said those words she still worry about Elsa and what will happen to her if she stays arrogant and domineering.

Everyday is just like this in the house. Help would always complain about Elsa. But cant do anything about it, shes the favorite.

When Emma was 6 years old she was enrolled by her parents to a prestigious school. And they did that to show their friend their status not because they care for her, they dont have time for that.

If your child is not enrolled to that prestigious school you'd be outcast by the socialites. So the Slone couple was forced to enroll Emma there.

There Emma met her best friend, Alisha. Shes not from a great family, but the school give away scholarship to the in need. And Alisha availed a scholarship.

Alisha is the kind of girl who whould never allow herself to be bullied and when she saw how the first graders bully Emma because of her timid attitude, she came to the rescue, and since then they became bestfriends.

Alisha is a beautiful black girl, which makes the Slone Family dislike her even more aside from her being poor. When she visits the house and Elsa sees her she would look at her with disgust and contempt.

But the friendship of Emma and Alisha become more stronger as time pass by. She practicaly see the attitude of the Slone couple to Emma. That is why she always takes care of Emma.

"What are we doing in Elsa's room Alisha?" asked Emma while going inside Elsa's room.

"Were just looking", said Alisha while looking around.

"I dont think we should come here, if she knows she would get angry"

"I know, but dont worry she would not know, I promise"

"What are you doing here girls?" said Abigail while coming to the room to clean.

"Oh nothing Abby just looking around", answered Alisha inocently.

"Ok then just dont touch the things in that cabinet, she would know" pointing at a glass cabinet in the closet of Elsa, which was full of expensive jewelries. She then proceed to take the things in the basket by the corner to the trash bag.

"What is that Abby?" ask Alisha while following her.

"Oh, these? Trash of Elsa."

"Really, then we'll do it for you Abby. I know your busy", Alisha said while taking the trash bag from her.

"Its ok Alisha I can do it" said looking at us reluctantly.

"No, we'll do it. Just do other things, we don't have anything t do anyway. I know your busy. We can do this. Its very simple."

"Ok then if you insist, Im quite busy really, you save me girls. thanks" said while leaving.

"What are you doing Alisha?", I asked curiously

"Can't you see", showing me whats inside the basket, "These things can still be used, this shirt is still new around 3 months, how can she throw this away?"

"Well she change wardrobe every 3 months, she says every season should be seen in how you dress." I explained.

"My god! we can still use this, and some can still be sold. We can get money from this Emma!" shouted Alisha.

Since then we would always clean the trash of Elsa and sell it. We really did get a lot of money from it. We did it for 10 years and I saved around 200,000 USD from it.
