14 BreakAway

After I finish my Bachelors Degree they ousted me out of my dorms..huhuhu..

So, I have to search for a new house. Since I'm mostly in downtown due to work I tried searching for a housing there. So I transferred to a two bedroom apartment. It was a little expensive but I don't want to suffer in my living condition just to save money, and I do have my savings and my pay from my new job. And I share it with my best friend.

Alisha started working in Los Angeles after she graduate in jewelry design. So we plan to share an apartment together after I graduate. She now works as an assistant to a jewelry designer.

Also, Michelle went back to Orange county to help her parents in their business. We still call each other and talk a lot.

My life have then continued to focus on school and work, unlike Alisha who has countless of boyfriends to entertain her.

For the next 3 years, I experience how to be an architect even if I'm not. Watching Alexander has been very helpful to me. He has been in this business for long time, he have seen many things, created many things, and experience many things.

It was an eventful 3 years.

But in other ways, a very memorable time for me.

I have lived in the shadows of my sister for years that it was hard not being there. I feel naked and awkward sometimes, even when I was still in college. Sometimes I question my decisions if its right or am I doing it correct.

'What would Elsa in this situations?' I would though.

I still question myself. I still live in her shadows. And it was so hard to leave it.

Then Alisha told me what was happening back home, that push me to stop pitying myself.

"Girl, did you hear? Elsa got in to trouble with your parents!"

"Really? How did the perfect daughter become imperfect?"

"Oh, you know that your sister was given a job in San Francisco, right?"

"Yeah, she's an art curator."

"Right! but she hated that job so left it after 5 months."

"Yeah, you told me this years ago! So what?"

"Well your parents found a new job for her a year after that in San Diego, remember that?"

"Hhmm.. She was in a well know boutique."

"Yes, she worked in a boutique for a long time which your parents was happy about, then they discovered she was in a relationship with the branch manager!"

"Really??? She was ok with him only a branch manger?"

"Yeah, that's what came to my mind to, how can Princess Elsa be with a manager? Then it was reveled back home, that the manager let Elsa do whatever she wants. She doesn't even go to work for weeks. But the manager just let it be!"

"Ohhh.. So she's using him?"

"Yeah, Duh! She was using him to skip work."

"So how did this become a news back home?"

"Well, here's the funny part, the manager discovered Elsa two-timing him with another man who is a gym owner. So, he told the owner of the boutique about Elsa's work etiquette. Then the owner, who is a friend of a friend of your parents, told them about it in front of all the socialites during their monthly meeting! HAHAHA!! Mom was their, she said it was so funny! Its was hilarious seeing your parents face so crimson with embarrassment!"

"Wow! It must have been embarrassing for them!"

"Oh yeah, Mom said after that they called Elsa and shouted at her over the phone. For the first time they shouted at Elsa! They must have really been embarrassed."

"Wow! That's a first."

"Not just that, after your parents fix every thing. They brought her back home. But, Elsa being Elsa came here to Los Angeles. And the last news they heard was she became mistress of an old rich man in Beverly Hills."

"A mistress?! No way!"

"Many cant believe, but remember Sandra from high school?"

"Yeah, Sandra the gossip girl."

"Well, she and her mother lived in Beverly Hill now, her mom got married a rich man there. She saw Elsa with the rich old man being harassed by the legal wife. The wife was punching Elsa in the face when she saw them. And the wife was calling her censored words about being a mistress."

"Elsa has been a vain girl and my parents fueled that. And this is what they got. tsktskstk!!!"

That's when it struck me, I never was in Elsa shadow because she never had one. It was just me who put a shadow on her. It was me who put her in front and in a pedestal.

It was my thinking that bind me to Elsa, and now decided to break away from that.
