You're Courting Death!

Co-Posted on Scribblehub under the same name. Crappy Synopsis Below..... It was a bright sunny day when it happened..... When Yun Xie arrived in that other world. A world of flying cultivators and ancient ruins. A world, unlike any other... The one where the Dark Crow flew across the Nine Realms, and that one filled with more young masters than you could count. Where cliche tropes were a new reality, and no one had a inch of common sense or logic. Good thing he brought with him some overpowered (Albeit a bit cringy) cheats. It would be good fun. Some parts are sort of copy and paste, I really can't do much about it because I want the MC to be part of the main storyline, as that is fun..... If you wanna get to the actual story, go to volume 2. Update: When I feel like it.... Disclaimer: For the most part, many of the characters and such don't belong to me, besides OC''s and such. I can't write these types of stories...... A haven for Plot Holes......

Chapter 35

(A/N: No, you ain't getting daily updates. The update schedule is..... When I feel like it.)

"So….. You are saying the entirety of this sect is actually on the back of a snail. Hmm…. Makes sense." Yun Xie stared down into a giant hole, remembering with some fascination. This was one of, in his opinion, the more interesting parts of the story. He remembered that there was a giant Snail protector, but must have read through too fast.

It had been three years since the invasion of the Sect by the Heavenly God Sect. "Cao Xiong" and "Dong Shenglong" had both been branded traitors by the Cleansing Incense Sect and the Jewel Kingdom, which had infuriated the Elders of the sect. It was also a sign that his "Bandit King Plan" was coming to fruition.

Li Qi Ye nodded in confirmation, displaying his knowledge. The whole sect was indeed built atop a snail. Right now, Qi Ye and Yun Xie were checking out a giant hole that had sprouted up in the cool middle grounds of the Sect. Well, the Ancestral Grounds, Qi Ye had said it was the Commanding Center of the Sect during times of struggle.

Apparently, the Snail that Qi Ye remembered had invaded, breaking the seal, to supposedly find the other Snail.

"Wait, wait, wait. Don't do anything. I got this." Yun Xie smiled pointing his hands behind his back for some reason. Copying Haikyuu?

Li Qi Ye looked at him, Nan Huai Ren and Li Shuangyan, the two stragglers looking at each other. After a while, the Crow slightly nodded, giving him confirmation.

The Ancient Land was actually a really nice-looking place. Though a little deserted and desolate right now, it had this really cool, post-apocalyptic vibe. Dried dead trees all about, there bark gnarly and gray, bare mountains empty of life, dried-up rivers, and ancient temples and pavilions, falling apart and in disrepair, wild grass growing around, but those too were withering up and yellow.

It probably extended for about a thousand miles on end. In front of the crew, plus Protector Mo was a giant hole. About as wide as a basketball court, It extended down, probably for miles upon miles. Completely dark, one, if not well equipped, would not be able to see a thing. Yun Xie didn't have any Sharingan or other crap activated so it was just an empty abyss. Sorta uncomfortable he'd say.

Then, he bit his thumb, blood splurting from it for a second before the wound closed up. Smacking his hand into the ground, a large circle of kanji began to spread out, like a web. He whispered, smiling. "Kuchiyose Summoning: Toad!"

A giant figure fell from the sky next to them, spooking Nan Huai Ren, who quickly got back. Li Qi Ye looked up at it, sort of confused.

"Goddamnit!!! Jiryaia, what the he-" Looking down at them, was a giant toad. The Toad was a dull rusty red color, with bright red markings all over him. A giant scar spread over the guy's left eye. The Toad wore a blue happi vest and a dosu blade at his hip. A pipe sat in the amphibian's mouth, smoke wafting through the air. "Oh. It's Yun Xie, eh? How your otherworldly travels doin?" The Toad, Gamabunta, peered down, his bright yellow eyes seemingly piercing through one's soul.

Gamabunta was a toad that Yun Xie greatly admired. A godly amphibian who had gone toe to toe with Ichibi, Shukaku. It was also a symbol that the Naruto World truly existed. A few years prior, Yun Xie had gotten to know the toad after trying out a summon. It worked, and lo and behold, the one and only Gamabunta, toad extraordinaire, appeared. They had hit it off after a while, each having a liking for drinks, among other small hobbies. As it wouldn't really matter, Yun Xie revealed that this was not the Shinobi world, to which Gamabunta deadpanned, and told him that it was quite obvious. Must have been toad senses….

He had summoned Gamabunta quite a few times over the years, to just chill out, a few occasional bandit beatdowns, and some updates on the current situation of the Naruto world.

(A/N: Just saying, I am not gonna make my main character go to the Naruto world anytime soon. But I have two other worlds I want him to go to in mini-arcs, Naruto and Demon Slayer. It would be hilarious honestly. For me.)

At this time, the Naruto world was at a tense peace, the Uchiha Massacre had just happened and such.

"A toad I would assume?" Li Qi Ye asked sarcastically.

"Yup! Genius right? Toads eat snails." Yun Xie gave a thumbs up to Gamabunta, who rolled his eyes at him.

"These your friends?" Gamabunta sat down, taking in the desolate environment with disgust. "This place…. Long ago, it must have been filled with life. A pity…." The Toad sighed, staring at the five, who, besides Yun Xie and Li Qi Ye, stared back warily.

Li Qi Ye was a bit surprised by the Toads comment, knowing it was true. He himself had seen it, after all, all those years ago…

"Yes." Yun Xie nodded. Out of nowhere, he waved his hand, the Gates of Babylon opening, the golden ripples spreading throughout as a giant bottle of Sake was deposited before Gamabunta.

"Ya know, that wasn't really needed, but I won't complain." Gamabunta uncorked the lid, taking a whiff. "Rose? Nice." He proceeded to, using his left….. hand, to take a swig. Yun Xie didn't really know what Toad arms were called…..

"So… There is a "sneaky" snail, that happens to live down inside of that hole. Can you get it out for me?" Yun Xie asked casually, taking out a jar of apple cider which he chugged from.

"Hmm…." Gamabunta looked down into the hole. He clapped his "hands" together, and suddenly, he shrunk down a bit, now a little smaller than a two-story house.

Yun Xie took another thing out of the Gates of Babylon, a giant tumbleweed. Clapping his hands, a small flickering fire soon floated about his body. Then, he spoke. "Kagero: Heat Haze!"

A burst of fire left his arm, igniting the tumbleweed, which he tossed down into the hole, Gamabunta nodding, and jumping down after him.

The others looked at him, not sure what to say.

Yun Xie laughed, passing out a few teacups filled with lemonade. Sitting down at a nearby stone table, he beckoned them to sit too. They sat there for a few minutes, before a loud scream erupted from the depths, smoke billowing out of the hole constantly.

"BOOM!!!"

An explosion sounded as a humungous snail was thrown out of it, the beast's shell almost flying off of it as it dropped to the ground, screaming its head off… One should not underestimate the power of the Toad. Especially one that could, for at least a minute, fight Nine Tails. With [Amplify] x 4, in this world, what could hinder the might of such an animal?

(WCM: When your power scaling is completely scuffed….)

(A/N: Well, it just works. My story, my unoriginality, and laziness..)

Then, from behind the Snail, the Toad flipped through the air, landing heavily on top of the Snail's shell. "The power you give me is quite something…." Gamabunta nodded to Yun Xie, the toad taking a swig of Sake, now sort of drunk. "This snail looks kinda tasty, can I eat it?" Gamabunta looked down, licking his sake stenched lips.

"Please. No! No! No!" The Snail cried for mercy as Yun Xie and the rest of them watched the Snail screaming out all its feelings….

Nan Huai Ren sipped some lemonade awkwardly, as the talking Snail flailed about, its slimy body seemingly drenched in sweat.

(A/N: Currently, I am not procrastinating, definitely not. Just loathing and hating. I have ascended to another level of hatred for William Shakespeare. Nothing personal dude.)
