27 Reward
The same day Yone was in black clothes like the rest of his family as they buried Mikoto making the children sad as they saw how their mother was put under the earth.
Tsunade already buried Dan a month ago while the other Shinobis were buried before Mikoto all together as their names were written on the Memorial Stone.
Yone was standing in front of the grave as he took his ring off and put it inside the coffin of Mikoto while taking her ring and putting it on a chain that he hung around his neck.
"I hoped she would see her grandchildren and grow old," says Mito as she petted Yone's hand.
"I thought so too. But destiny had something else in mind," says Yone as he looked at his children.
Tsunade was there with Shizune as Yone walked over and petted Shizune's head while saying, "How about you play with others while we adults talk about something."
Shizune nods as she leaves to meet the others. Hana, Hina, and Hori had their Sharingan activated for the first time all of a sudden making Yone postpone the talk he wanted to have with Tsunade as he says, "I need to talk to you later."
Tsunade nods thinking that it must be about something serious when Yone walked towards his three youngest. He could understand why Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko weren't as sad as the other four since they didn't spend time with Mikoto.
Yone helped his children to retract their Sharingan. Hana had two tomoes, Hina had three, and Hori had only one, not surprising Yone because Hori was the youngest.
After the burying, Yone and the family went back to the compound accompanied by the Hatake family and Hiruzen and his wife and two children.
They hold a little banquet for the guest to thank them for coming when Yone stands up and walks towards Tsunade and asks, "Can we talk for a bit in private?"
"Yes," says Tsunade as Yone took the lead, and both left the room.
"What do you want to talk about?" asks Tsunade confused.
"We need to talk about what you did this morning," says Yone as Tsunade was embarrassed after hearing Yone say that.
"I just remembered the old days of when you protected me as an older brother," says Tsunade defending what she did in the morning.
"I hope so," says Yone as he sighs before sitting down in the courtyard while hitting the floor telling Tsunade to sit beside him.
Tsunade does so and asks, "What are you going to tell me?"
"You and I need to mourn our loved ones. I will need time before I walk that path again. If by any chance we both are still single by then I will ask you out but I need time to heal as well as the children," says Yone as he put his hand around her.
"But once I and you are ready for it we can take the next step," says Yone as Tsunade seemed happy and sad at the same time.
"I understand," says Tsunade as she felt calm beside Yone like she did when she was younger.
"Will you adopt Shizune into your family household since she is Dan's niece?" asks Yone as he would adopt her if she wouldn't do that.
"I have already her custody. She is after all Dan's niece making her my niece as well. I don't want her to call me mother if she doesn't want to," says Tsunade as she was quite jealous of how good Yone was with children.
"Good, I would have taken her in if you didn't have done it," says Yone as he couldn't leave the child fend for herself.
Two years passed since Yone buried Mikoto as he brought his children to the Academy. He wasn't made into a Team Captain because he wanted to stay at home to watch over the children.
Kushina was in a team with her crush under Jiraiya's lead. The trio was still in the Academy ready to graduate. The twins were in a class together while for Hori it was the first day in the Academy.
"Do I really have to go?" asks Hori as Yone was beside him.
"Everyone in our family went through the Academy except for your mother. Also after the Academy, you will train with your sisters and me in how to control your new power," says Yone as he petted his son's head.
Hana and Hina have already eaten their Devil Fruits making Hina a woman made out of lightning while Hana became a rubber woman able to stretch her body in many unnatural angles making even Yone feel pain from seeing it.
Hori was the last to become a man made out of ice before he entered the Academy. Yone was keeping an eye on them as it seemed they didn't inherit his wood-release either.
"So Kushina how did your team deal with its first mission?" asks Yone as he was sitting at the dinner table with the children.
"It was boring for most of the time," says Kushina as Yone smiled from hearing that.
"It's always like that in the beginning. Sooner or later you will be able to leave the village because of a higher mission," says Yone as was eating with everyone else when Yone looks at the trio and asks, "How was your day?"
"We had fun training Taijutsu with the others today," says Yahiko proud since he won the competition.
"Did you win?" asks Yone as Yahiko nods.
"Good job. I remember that I destroyed my classmates when I was in my Taijutsu competition. My record is still not beaten," says Yone as he looked at his children.
"Which record? I only know about the one aunt Tsunade made with her two teammates," says Hana curious to find out.
"My record is more of an unwritten one since I send my whole class as well as the same grade into the infirmary because my teacher told me to do so," says Yone as his children looked at him seriously.
"You are a beast, Dad," says Hina as she wasn't proud that her father did something like that.
"Oh, I had to do it or I wouldn't be able to graduate. Many people in the village didn't want me to become a Shinobi that including my granduncle. He was the man that didn't even allow me to enter the Academy if my teacher hadn't threatened him," says Yone explaining why he had to be such a savage from small.
"He must have been a bad man," says Hana making the others nod their heads.
"He wasn't a bad man just that he didn't trust people easily not like your grandfather he was quite straightforward and easy to talk to. I really wished you had met him," says Yone as he was sad remembering Hashirama who never give up on him.
"So when are you going to marry aunt Tsunade?" asks Hori as Yone suddenly spilled his water on the table and began to cough wildly.
"Dummy, you know that Dad won't talk about such a topic with us," says Hana as Yone was still recovering from hearing that.
"Yea Dad, when are you going to marry aunty," says Kushina slyly as Yone looked at her.
"You should worry about your own romance Kushina. I heard that Minato was seen with another girl," says Yone lying to Kushina making her lose her interest in this topic while her hair seemed to rise into the air from fury.
"When I get that bastard I will...," says Kushina as everyone didn't understand the rest of the sentence when Konan looked at Yone seriously waiting for an answer.
"You really want to know that?" asks Yone as he sees Konan nod while the others were just curious.
"*sighs* I don't know, it's quite hard to date someone when you never did it before. I and your mother were presented to each other by our Matchmaker Mito. So I have no experience how to start this conversation even when we are together because I'm helping her overcome her phobia for blood," says Yone when everyone begins to smile at Yone.
"How can it be that two grown-ups can't see that they love each other?" asks Konan when Yone looked confused at her.
"What do you mean?" asks Yone confused.
"Dad did you really not see how aunty is looking at you. It's quite obvious to us and we aren't stared at," says Nagato as Yone was quite ignorant to Tsunade's stare since young.
"So you think that your aunt wants something from me?" asks Yone as everyone nods in agreement.
"And I should ask her out?" asks Yone as the same picture appeared again.
"How should I do that?" asks Yone tips from his children.
"Just go on a date with her through the city. First, you go drink a coffee, then you go shopping afterward dinner before returning to the compound. We should be able to handle ourselves until you return home," says Kushina as the oldest with fourteen years.
"It seems you have experience in it. I will ask her out in a week," says Yone as the children looked angry at him.
"Tomorrow!" say all at the same time as Yone was defeated by his own children.
"Tomorrow then," says Yone as everyone nods their head in agreement making Yone sigh.
The next day Yone went to help Tsunade with her phobia as they were making progress on that front as Yone was sitting across her.
"How is Shizune?" asks Yone as he took out strawberry jam that looked like blood in a jar.
"You always ask the same question every week and I tell you every time-" says Tsunade as Yone sighs and interrupts her.
"That she is fine. I still need to ask. Also, how his grandmother?" asks Yone avoiding the question he wants to ask.
"She is almost eighty years old. She is living her remaining life in paradise with Nawaki, Haru, and Hashi looking after her. She is happy when we visit her but she seems disappointed with me not having a child yet," says Tsunade as she now sighs before Yone opened the glass of jam.
He manipulates Tsunade's senses making her smell blood as she seemed to feel uncomfortable but didn't fall into a panic like she normally would.
"You are suppressing it well. Time for the next stage," says Yone as he takes a bit of jam out and puts it on her hand making Tsunade's hand shake trying to find her urge to panic when Yone says, "If you surpass this I will give you a reward."
"A reward?" asks Tsunade as Yone nods when she asks, "And that reward is?"
"A date with me," says Yone as Tsunade opened her mouth wide.
Her hand stopped shaking as Yone looked at her surprised when she suddenly made a fist with the hand she had the jam on while a bigger Tsunade appeared behind her saying angry, "Are you teasing me?"
"No, I'm serious if you pass today's therapy we go tomorrow on a date," says Yone as Tsunade seemed to have fire in her eyes making Yone see her motivation.
