Ying Huo the shadowed kings child

My first published novel!!! Please forgive the rushed intro, I did the auxiliary and the first chapter in one day without proper planning in 12 hours. If you find mistakes please let me know. Also, I don't know if I should add herem to the tags as I'm only going to add 2(2nd one is a dunno) and although I added the 18+ it's mostly to cover my own ass as many sites can get touchy about things, And if there is torcher (undecided) I won't hold any punches. Let me know if you like it. if you give a 1 or a 2 star at least let me know what I could change for future novels if not this one. Happy reading!

Ying Huo

'I… remember his eyes. He looked at me as if I was his entertainment. So why do I feel like he was familiar? Who was I? My name, Chester? Yes, my name was Chester… but why does it feel foreign? As if it was a name I had picked up… but my mother named me that, Chester hails.'

The little blue ball of mist had finally woken up from its slumber. The void, a place of lost memories, a place this lost soul had woken up. But unknown to this lost soul it was being watched.

"Why is it he always sends his children to me. He could just store their memories himself and send them to them when they reincarnate… but then again he would have to strengthen their souls to do it, which would remove the point of letting them go. He could at least not have so many children. He doesn't even fuck anyone to get them. Damned bastard… now I'm horny, might as well send this one off."

Slowly the mist liquified and turned into an almost liquid orb, The size of a basketball. As it came back together so did its memories. Not all at once, and not completely, Its fragments being slow to return.

'Mom, wait but who was my father? She said I would know when I saw him…'

"Where are those fragments? Ah, so he was preparing a gift. Never could toss his family to the wolves. So much for being heartless. Though as a patriarch he could have done a bit more… I say about the guy who wiped out an entire kingdom upon his death. Hahaha, oh… seems he's done, might as well get rid of the nuisance… and he sent another one, great."

'Ying Hou… right that is what that man called me… what is this… memory… soul body refinement…' as his soul reformed he slowly started to drift unconscious, a consequence of the strain reincarnating did to the boy.

'What? Where am I? Is this my room? Right, this should be… where is this knowledge coming from? I don't remember… right, my father should be a heavily bearded 30-year-old from what little I can remember, my mother should have silky long hair and huge tits if my memory of suffocating is anything to go by. Why is my memory slipping? Concentrate… black mist… red mist…'

Over time this young man had been cultivating for roughly 2 years, though this has been cut roughly by a quarter in efficiency due to constantly having his memory slip, a combination of being extremely young and his soul still adjusting to his new body. This has not gone without notice though. As his father and mother watched they saw his life essence seemingly drain from his body, not hard for a couple of cultivators to notice in a mortal infant.

The father who was about 50, though aged more than a cultivator should be due to being poisoned, had a rather menacing look with his 8"8(264cm) stature was not to be looked down upon, though it was his worried look, not his angry one being shown. The mother with matching black hair had tears in her eyes, her slightly curved face flowing with rivers of tears. Both parents looking at a sweaty infant that was being laid on ice.

"Is it here yet?" growled the behemoth of a father.

At his call, a guard in armor reminiscent of the one worn by ming soldiers, except for the gold lining it in the form of a golden wolf, came through with a small Fireworm golden but slightly different from the ones in how to train your dragons, this one had only 4 legs and 4 gold eyes.

With a nod from the black-bearded giant, the guard released the cage. Immediately the small dragon flew off to the infant, landing near the 2-year-old the dragon sent waves of heat out, cooling its body. When its body temperature was cold enough it crawled on top of the child and just layed there.

After another year the boy finally understood a few things. The most blaring after getting his memory faded out, now remembering from half a year old which is 6 months younger than any child should be capable of remembering, being the golden dragon that lays on him. Remembering a few tidbits after learning the language which was similar to his second language, Chinese, he found out that he worried his parents to the point of looking for a dragon that eats yang qi. Mostly due to thinking it was some kind of yang poison that was from his father before he was completely cured.

He also found that his mother looked quite young for being 50 years old. Though not directly said he guessed from this and his old mans notes that it was an effect of qi… not that he understood it. His family were also apparently merchants of an unorthodox faction of the Murim world. They were called the Jinse de Huo lang or the golden fire wolves from what He understood from Chinese though it did have its differences.

He also learned that the town he lived in had about 50,000 people in it. 'That giant must have a few eyes on the inside.' There was also the fact that the old guy earned 10 gold from selling general merchandise. Though it's cultivator merchandise it's mostly an odd assortment… at least according to the mothers jokes. The giants name is apparently Juren Zhi Huo, the mothers is Si Ban De Huo.' I think I'll just shorten it to Juren Huo and Si Huo… or should I call him Dahuo? Nah Juran sounds better.'

As he gradually fell asleep in his golden silk sheets, an odd lady with scales replacing her clothes in a skimpy outfit was watching him and the golden dragon. She only looked away when a man with golden hair and eyes with hints of green like grass or leaves in black armor came through a black portal.

"You came to visit little old me?"

"Odd that an ouroboros would take fancy to my son. Much more so when she sends her only daughter to take care of him."

"And you wouldn't send him a wolf or a… what was it called? A system?"

"Hahaha!!! Yes, you are correct about that. But the wolf would only keep him alive, the system would teach them how to become stronger and how to avoid getting him involved in my war ahead of time. Your gift concerns me though."

" you mean my beautiful black hair or the little girl? Rurik, Rurik Aunimoto, the Shadowed king. My daughter will protect him and speed up his growth. Though I'm not dumb enough to let them tangle with the feathered or the undead. She may be his yang when he has only yin. You may have shadow fire and nature but you got that while trying to balance yourself after dying. He doesn't know anything, though that hasn't harmed anyone so far."

The man looked at the black-haired toddler and thought for a moment, after awhile he changed into a silver-haired red, narrow, eyed man. And sent a red orb each into the two young children.

Looking at this scene the black-eyed seductress grinned. Upon seeing the man leave she called" you've always been soft. To even give a gift to my daughter despite knowing she's a pawn."

The man merely left, leaving a knife that had a red narrow eye in the blade, seemingly made of bone." SHIT!!!" she quickly dodged even before the blade moved, still getting grazed by the blade that immediately vanished into the shadows. "Ill-tempered as always I see. Hehehe!" and as she left, the two children were alone again, never having been aware they had company.
