The four friends were stunned. LianHua was dating someone else? How come they did not know at all? This Mei Ling is trying to spread rumors and lying so blatantly, we must teach her a lesson!

Mei Ling didn't wait for them to speak and continued in an unhurried tone, "You all are LianHua's friends yet you don't know anything at all! I must tell this to LianHua JieJie later on, how could you guys speak lies about her in public? What if her boyfriend hears about this and misunderstands?"

One of the girls starting speaking again, "Fine! Then tell us who her boyfriend is, I don't believe you can make that up!" Her tone was harsh and spiky.

Mei Ling's tone became gentle and her countenance became softer, the rims of her eyes became red and it looked as if tears would fall any second. "Her boyfriend is Cu Tong in the law department, of course! See, I really was not lying to you. How did you guys believe that Mr. Lu was JieJie's fiancée? You mustn't believe in rumors at school!"

Many of the surrounding people that were originally peacefully sipping tea now came to a conclusion in their minds. This girl that they kept talking about, LianHua, was cheating on her fiancée and boyfriend! This angel Mei Ling was harshly scolded by the vixen's friends, and all of them started bubbling in annoyance.

Bai LianHua's friends suddenly shivered. Looking in different directions, they saw displeased stares around them. They weren't dumb, they all realized that the stares were targeted towards them.

One of the girls thought, Why doesn't anyone believe in us and chooses to side with her? Unfair!

She turned around and called out to the bleached-blonde, "LianHua, tell everyone who your fiancée is! You're being too nice and letting Mei Ling get away with maligning you!" Everyone turned their attention to the inferior beauty, Hmph! So you were hiding there and watched as your friends were scolding your little sister!

Bai LianHua's eyes widened once she saw everyone turn to her. Why did you call me out dimwit? It's obvious the situation isn't in my favor and you still called me out, why is such a dumb girl my friend?

"Ah? JieJie, you're here! You're friends thought you were Mr. Lu's fiancée, hurry and come tell them not to listen to rumors! Cu Tong wouldn't be happy if he misunderstood!" Mei Ling had an innocent expression and the red rims around her eyes seemed to now be covered in sparkling tears. The sight kicked in the motherly instincts of middle aged women and the men felt that they couldn't stand this injustice, wanting to help protect this innocence.

Damnit! What was she supposed to say? If she said she was Mr. Lu's fiancée then she would get exposed if Mei Ling told Lu Jiang she was using his name! At the end, she still chose the most dangerous choice and voiced out fluently, "Actually, you and my friends have misunderstood! It's true that I was Lu Jiang's fiancée but I discovered that I actually love Cu Tong! As such...Lu Jiang and I are now friends and Cu Tong...." She blushed abashedly.

Mei Ling smirked inside. I see, so you chose this option? And here I thought you would insist on big brother being your fiancée! How shameless to insinuate that you were the one who dumped brother! Since you've decided to tell such a story, then I won't hesitate to crush you further!
