Yggdrasil: Worsap (Overlord FF)

Finch was just another slave, the 12th generation of worker drones, under the mega-corporations. He was fed up with his life and planned to commit suicide, leaving his grey and lifeless world behind. Too bad life has a surprise for him. I do not own Overlord. I also don't own the cover image.

Treech's Stat Guide

Hello players,

My sensei has allowed me to post his comments about the game stats and their impact on Yggdrasil. He has given me numerous recommendations on how to build my character and the importance of stats in certain areas. It is my hope that in sharing these comments, more players will step up and make things more interesting.

Thank you and here are his comments below,

Starlight Prince

The importance of HP is only relevant in the early game when you are below the class levels needed to handle nullification or 0-counter abilities. This is because you always will take a minimum of 1 damage and your max HP would determine your limit of handling things.

HP I would rank as the most important survival stat, until around level 30.

Mag Def and Phy Def are an important investment for later games, as I can guess a powerful ability that surpasses Low-Tier Physical Nullification and Low-Tier Magical Nullification.

For now, I will call these abilities, 0-counter abilities. Low-Tier Physical and Magical Nullification normally is always acquired upon taking your endgame class at either level: 85, 90, or 95. It Nullifies all Tier spells, techniques, and damage of creatures below a certain overall level.

This is clearly designed to keep top players safe from mobs of low-level players swarming them for their gear. However, a 0-counter ability would lower the minimum damage of a damage type to 0, therefore, allowing even certain damage types from 10th Tier spells to be completely negated if a player's Def values are high enough.

The resist and special stats are difficult to quantify, however, resist are known to be used to fight against Crowd control effects, such as sleep, confusion, and mind control. It is important to not neglect these stats unless you are undead, and have a natural immunity to MOST crowd control.

The special stat is used to quantify additional abilities that can't be categorized as energy or the other stats. An example is sensei's special stat is used to calculate the effectiveness of his command skills on subordinates. Other examples may include, the beastmaster taming limit.

One cannot neglect their attack stat either as it is the base on which the versatility of your skills is a part. It is important to have at least one of them with decent attributed points so that you are not constantly hitting 1s on an enemy.

The importance of collecting [Skill] type abilities is important for any player. Skills do not cost any energy to use, be that MP, QP, or any other energy type. Collecting Skill type abilities allows for emergency usage when your energy bar is empty, or you can save them for when the enemy is least expecting it.

Super Tier Spells are a Skill type ability and do not cost mana, however, the cool-down time is a very long time, and it takes a long time to finish casting the skill.

The following Skill type abilities are Technique-type abilities. These are similar to spells, except that they only enhance your original movements and don't perform a set action like spells do. With them, versatility is much higher in their usage. An example of this is [Qi Blade] coats a sword-like weapon with Qi energy, but using the blade is up to that player's dynamic skill in VR.

Finally, I rank spells-type abilities as the last. They take energy and perform a set effect on the environment. They are slightly less versatile on their own, but the vast quantity of spells make up for what they lack individually. In difference to techniques, where one technique can be used in many different ways, spells can be used in a much lesser scope. It is often a challenge to manage vast quantities of spells to handle different situations and this is why I place this type as last.
