Yennefer sat down holding her father's hand crying while he lay on the bed the machine above him beeping.
She was a sobbing mess, she sat with him while every other person stood outside.
Immediately she found her mate her father collapsed rushing him to a physician it was found out that he was poisoned with wolfsbane enemy of all wolf blood.
He was her everything at this point and she didn't know what she would have done without him. Her mother was dead, she had no sibling or anybody to run to.
While thinking things through the Alpha and her Mate walked in. Yennefer it's okay, I promise to find the perpetrator and find Justice for your father. Alpha Greg assured her.
Blaze, please take her to the room. The alpha said
Yes, Dad...
Yes, you heard right, her mate was the Alpha's Son, Blaze Greg Callhagan.
Leading the way he shut the door when they left. After they left Greg towered over Aeden.
At last, the grudge of 20 years has been dispassited. I'll take care of your daughter after all she's my soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
After his words, Greg turned off the machine and walked away.
Unknown's Pov...
I stood there and watched everything happen, I can't let anything happen to her father at this point nothing must upset her emotionally. It's been 18 years already and she's not ready for anything to upset her she might go on a rampage. She must not be discovered.
Aeden lay on the bed the machine off and his life force depleting. I placed my hands on his and chanted the spell healing him.

Aeden eyes were closed as the Alpha walked in he heard everything but could do nothing, he was in a vegetative state. He couldn't believe Greg still held this grudge and took it so far.
At this point he regretted, not being close to his daughter, and not telling her his last words.
He closed his eye prepared to die as he felt his life force go down. While drowning in regrets he felt it that familiar but unfamiliar presence. He couldn't place his hands around it but it felt... It felt like second chance.
Before he could think or do anything else he passed out.

Yennefer's room
Blaze sat her down on the bed and gave her a cup of water to drink. With shaky hands, she accepted the water. The glass slipped from her hands and he caught it before it fell.
He fed her himself and she drank It all.
Thank you. She said giving him the cup.
Hmmm...well...I don't know where to um....start from but I'll start from anywhere... I'm sorry about your father and I promise to look into it and find the person responsible for this. And I'm also sorry we had to meet this way, you know, your father being poisoned the day we met and I'm sorry our love story started out on a bad note.
She remained silent staring at him.
Blaze sat beside her and kissed her forehead gently wrapping his hands around her shoulder so she placed her head on his.
Yennefer was full of uncertainty... She's supposed to be happy now that she found a mate but things changed.
Who would have tried to murder her father and why? The first person who came to her mind was Greg
But he was so sincere so he couldn't have done that. She needed to find out who was responsible for this and make him pay
Blaze stroked her hair while inhaling the scent of her shampoo... It felt so nice and warm and soothing, his wolf felt at peace and he wanted this moment to last.
Trying to control the urge to mark her he closed his eyes and thoughts ran through his mind. This is the very first time of seeing his mate and he didn't know what to do, how would he start this new phase of life? What to do?
Drowning in his thoughts he didn't realize when he fell asleep with her asleep on his shoulders.
The next day
Yennefer woke up next to an empty bed. Blaze had already left but a note lay where he slept taking the note it read.
Dear Yennefer,
I hope you slept well. Tonight is the wolf marking ceremony and I would like to go on a date with you before that time. And maybe I could help you pick a dress for the event. I'll be available at 3 so I'll come for you. I'm looking forward to meeting you already. I miss you. Have a wonderful day and think of me.

She smiled after she read it and ended up reading it over and over again... She would be going on her very first date. Her dad would be happy to hear this.
Just then a thought crossed her mind HER DAD.
She ran to the door as fast as she could on opening the door she saw her father there smiling sheepishly at her holding a breakfast tray.

Her eyes widened her father was okay.
Joy instantly filled her and taking the tray away from her father and dropping it on the bed she hugged him squeezing the life out of him.
Oh Yennefer I'll die a second time if you don't let me go
She quickly let him go and laughed. She looked so happy to see him.
He smiled and his mind went back to the day before.
Sitting her down he gave her a cup of coffee and sat beside her with his in his hands
She took it and drank from then her eyes lit up. It was just the way she loved it when she was a child.
Watching his daughter smile tears welled in his eyes.
You made my coffee just the way I loved it specially made by you.
You got so busy over the years that you couldn't make breakfast for me. Yennefer said as her countenance fell.
I'm so sorry sweetie I promise to make you breakfast from now on. He said while pulling her cheeks
Aww Dad stop calling me sweetie I'm not a child anymore.
But you're still my child sweetie...

Okay okay... So did you get a mate yesterday?
Yes Dad I got a mate. Wow, that's wonderful sweetie. Aeden felt a burden lifted from him at least he knew his daughter had wolf blood and could wolf out anytime.
