So It Begins

Pain. That was all Yang could feel right now. She was lying on the ground breathing heavily. Her robot arm was destroyed as her clothing was damaged. Cuts and bruises scattered about her body. She even had a trail of blood racing down her face. She has no idea how everything went wrong. Team's RWBY and what was left of JNPR had done what they could to defend Vacuo from Salem's forces.

But everything went wrong. Jaune, Nora, Ren, Weiss, Blake. Dead. All of them. The only two that were left was Yang, Ruby, Oscar, Qrow, Winter and Emerald. But, everyone was battered and bruised. Yang remembers how each member died. Jaune died fighting Cinder along with Nora and Ren. Weiss self-sacrificed herself to kill Cinder, killing herself in the process as she held Cinder in place so Winter could kill Cinder. Blake had died fighting Tyrian who was killed by Qrow. Oscar is on his knees out of breath. Qrow stumbles over to Yang but fell to a kneel and coughed a little.

Yang looks around while her body remained immobile.

Emerald was holding her broken arm while her weapons were shattered. Mercury was present but he too was killed. Emerald was his killer. Winter was the only one standing along with Ruby. Salem was standing before everyone. She was beyond irritated.

Salem: "When will you learn you cannot kill me!!" she angrily shouted.

Ruby: "We don't care that you can't die! Cause we still can stop you!" she said, not bothering to give up.

Salem scoffs.

Salem: "I've heard that a thousand times. Your mother was one of them." she said.

Ruby lightly steps back before shaking her head, getting the thoughts out of her mind. Ruby needs to be here and now. Not somewhere else. Yang watches as Salem scowls before creating a ball of Magic. A red glyph appears beneath Ruby and Grimm arms shoot up and grab her making her drop Crescent Rose.

Qrow: "Ruby!" he cried out, trying to stand but can't.

Yang looked at Qrow while on the ground. She exhaled before placing her only working hand on the ground and pushes herself up slowly. Her body screaming in pain as she did so. The minute she feels the sandy texture leave her face, she opens her eyes and looked forward as she gets to a kneeling position, panting.

Yang looked around and saw the bodies of her friends. Her anger was beyond comprehension. Yang glares at Salem but her glare vanishes when she sees Salem ready to fire a magical attack. Yang's eyes widen before she gets a quick flash back to Blake's death. Helpless to dodge Tyrian's attack, Blake was killed without a fighting chance. Yang slowly gets onto her two feet. Her eyes turn red as her hair catches on fire.

Salem: "do me a favor, and die like your mother did!" she loudly shouts before launching the attack.

Ruby's eyes widened as she was helpless to stop it. Yang suddenly darts for Ruby.

Qrow: "Yang wait!" he cried out as he reached his hand forward to catch her.

As Yang ran towards Ruby, she reels her fist back. Ruby watched the blast come closer. Suddenly Ruby was punched and also shoved out of the way by Yang who was now in her place. Ruby's eyes widen. The blast hits Yang causing a large explosion to erupt. Yang was flung off her feet and flew back a few feet before hitting the ground. Ruby looked on with a horrified look on her face.

Qrow, Oscar, Emerald and Winter had wide eyes seeing another one of their fighters fall.

Tears form in Ruby's eyes before she quickly gets up and runs to Yang who hasn't moved a muscle. Ruby reaches Yang and drops to her knees. Yang wasn't moving, nor where her eyes open. Ruby shook her head in disbelief. Qrow rushed over ignoring his pain and checked for Yang's pulse. However, Ruby's despair takes over as he eyes flicker before letting out a bright flash.

Ruby: "YAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!!!!!!!!!" she cries out loudly.

Everyone is blinded by the bright light she emits. While Ruby let out the light, Yang smiles slightly before it fades as the life drained from her eyes and everything went black. After what seemed like hours, Yang's eyes twitch. Her eyes flicker open and she is blinded by a bright white environment, so she shields her eyes. Yang lowers her hand to then look at it in confusion. She lifted herself up and looked at her other hand to see her original arm back.

She was very confused. Last she knew she was dead. Yang looks away from her hands and looked around the white void a bit. Yang soon gets herself onto her feet. Once on her feet, she dusts herself off confused at her surroundings.

Yang: "Where... am I?" she asks in a low tone of wonder.

???: "a place between life and death." a voice said.

Yang yelped in surprise and turned around, raising her fists to fight. She brings them down seeing the figure in front of her. Before her was the God of Light. She steps back slightly.

Yang: "wha-where-who." before she could speak anymore, the God of Light put his hand up halting her.

Light: "as I had stated. You are between life and death. Your battle with Salem has led to your inevitable death. However, I'm feeling a bit generous. That, and I am in desperate need of assistance." he said.

Yang: "What do you mean?" she asks.

Light: "Remnant has been one of many experiments me and my brother have conducted. Another world, much like your own but yet so very different." he said.

Yang: "how does this concern me?" she asks.

Light: "unfortunately, we have left this world for far too long. We no longer hold the power to control it. We do not want it to collapse into what your world has fallen into. So we have been looking for one of your kind to be reborn into this world to protect it." he said.

Yang: "Wait, your allowing me to be revived?" she asked, shocked.

Light: "Reborn. However, you will keep your Semblance and Aura as well as your memories and knowledge of fighting. The powers in this new world are called Quirks. So your Semblance and Aura will become a Quirk called Burn." he said.

Yang: "huh, that's what my Semblance is called." she said, surprised at the convenience.

Light: "you will also be able to manifest the Semblance's of your friends and family. However, I do need your permission." he said. "I don't want to feel like I am forcing you to do this."

Yang just stared at the God of Light. She looks away from him trying to decide whether or not she should accept this offer. If she's reborn, she gets another chance at life. But now the life she once lived. She won't see Ruby, Qrow or Taiyang again. She really does wish to see her family again. But, she also wonders what Summer would have done. However, she can hear various voices in her head telling her to accept the offer. She recognizes the voices. Two of them specifically. Blake and Weiss. The rest is unfamiliar to her but she soon hears Jaune, Nora, Ren and even Pyrrha's voice. They all are telling her to accept the offer.

After hearing the voices of her friends, Yang looks back up at the God of Light.

Yang: "I'll accept your offer." she said.

The God of Light seems to smile at this response.

Light: "that's good to hear. I wish you best of luck Yang Xiao Long." he said.

Yang felt weird. She looked at her hands and noticed she was fading away rapidly. She soon was gone as quick as she came. The God of Light watched her vanish. Another voice enters the room.

???: "You were right." a voice said.

Light turned around to see... the God of Light? The one that talked to Yang suddenly shrinks and turns into silver smoke before revealing Summer.

Summer: "of course, I knew she would accept the offer." she said with a smile.

In a hospital in the City of Musutafu, japan. A woman is current in labor. Giving birth to Twins. I really wish I could say it was a quiet delivery....

Doctor: "Mrs. Bakugo please calm down." he begs as the woman had a furious look on her face.

Mitsuki: "SHUT YOU TRAPS BEFORE I RIP OFF THAT SORRY EXCUSE OF A DICK YOU HAVE AND SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT!!!" she yelled loudly.

Doctor: "ahaha, Nurse please sedate her." he said while nervously laughing.

Nurse: "are you sure?" she asks.

Doctor: "I think she's serious." he said with a nervous expression on his face, fear also evident on his face.

The nurse rolls her eyes mumbling the word coward. A bit of time later and the woman, who had previous threatened a Doctor, was now all jolly holding both baby twins.

Doctor: "*gulp* w-what do you think of them?" he nervously asked, having no idea what to even ask seeing her mood swing.

Mitsuki: "Well... I'll name my son Katsuki." she said.

Masaru: "and what about our baby girl?" he asks.

Mitsuki: "since your piss poor with names-"

Masaru: "hey!"

Mitsuki: "I'll name her Yang." she said while looking at her new daughter.

Masaru: "Well, her blond hair sure is brighter than yours." he said.

Doctor: "uh, that's because of a birth defect." he said nervously.

Mitsuki: "you have five seconds." she asked with a murderous aura.

In her mind, she was pissed that the doctor would even dare say that to her face.

Doctor: "*gulp* w-well ma'am. As we checked on little Yang here, we discovered something that made everyone absolutely stunned." he said.

Mitsuki: "that is?" she asks.

Doctor: "your daughter already shows signs of her quirk developing. Now the only explanation we have is that her quirk is an early bloomer. Thus, regarding her hair color being brighter than you blonde hair ma'am." he said.

Mitsuki: "huh, that's it?" she asks.

Doctor: "Yep." he said.

Mitsuki: "Well, good to know my baby girl will have a Quirk one day." she said, smiling at the sleeping baby in her arms.

Doctor: "my guess is that it'll fully manifest itself when she is roughly 4-5 years old." he said. "Although, if it manifests itself before then. Consider your daughter here a prodigy."

Both Masaru and Mitsuki look down at baby Yang. She coos a little before opening her eyes. Oddly enough, they weren't red. But a shade of purple. Odd, but cool. Once everything at the hospital is done and over, the Bakugo family returns home. Yang all the while, is fully conscious of what's happening.

Yang: (This is my new family huh?) she said mentally.

Yang instinctively reached up with her baby hand. Mitsuki noticed Yang's actions and reached over to Yang. Yang grabs Mitsuki's finger.

Yang: (I must do what ever I can do keep this one safe.) she said mentally as she squeezed Mitsuki's finger.

Mitsuki just found it adorable and picked up Yang and hugged the baby blonde. Yang just nuzzles into her new mother.

[~TIMESKIP~]

It's been a good few years since Yang arrived in this new Universe. She's grown up pretty similar to how she did originally. Yang is currently 6 years old and has access to her Quirk so she wasted no time and trained with it. Due to keeping all her memories, she still knows how to fight. However, her family and peers didn't know that so they call her a prodigy. Yang was currently walking near a lake with her younger twin brother, his friends and Izuku. Yang was humming a cheery toon she remembered from Remnant.

Up the hill to their right, a man was moving some trash cans when one falls down and rolled down the hill. The others notice it as Yang just kept walking.

Izuku: "Yang!" he cried out as he went to move her.

However, Yang simply smiled and punched the trash can with her right fist leaving a large dent in the can. Almost folding the can completely. The trash can hits the ground and the others look on amazed and in awe.

This was the first time Izuku met Yang and was awestruck.

Izuku: "Your sisters amazing Kacchan!" he said excitedly.

Katsuki snapped out of his shock and scoffs a little.

Katsuki: "of course she is. She has her Quirk after all." he said arrogantly.

Yang: "Katsuki. What did I say about Quirks?" she scolds with a stern tone and expression.

Katsuki: "Sorry, sis." he said while looking down in shame.

Yang: "it's alright. Let's head home, we've been away long enough." she said, grabbing her brothers hand and heading off.

Izuku: "bye Kacchan!" he said with a wave.

As the two walked away. Katsuki kept holding Yang's hand. Yang had a large smile on her face. This almost reminded her of Ruby. Although Katsuki has a temper. So to Yang, it feels like a male version of Her but a bit worse. But Yang is doing all she can to keep her new family safe. After all she does get nightmares about her past life and has kept them a secret. She doesn't want her new family to know of her old life. Even if that means lying to them.
