"I'm telling you Alice, at least 15 girls in our year have dibs on him!" I rolled my eyes at my best friend, "What part of, he is married, do you not understand?" Adelaide sighed and sat back down on her seat next to mine. "Other people have done it!" I raised my eyebrows at her, "Like who?" She began to speak, but then came up with nothing. "Why don't you see it! He's damn gorgeous!" I just couldn't think of Mr Alvarez as handsome and fuckable.

*Gag*

I can't see it.

I just can't.

I looked around the cafeteria, and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Mr Alvarez, in deep conversation with Ms Ortiz. They were both smiling and laughing together, but I noticed that every so often, Mr Alvarez's gaze would slip from my English teacher's face, and down to her stomach. Did he seriously judge women on how much pudge they had on their abs? Ms Ortiz suddenly looked around suspiciously before seeming to scold Mr Alvarez, but he seemed to just chuckle at her before saying goodbye and leaving.

Over the last couple of weeks, we had gotten to know Ms Ortiz quite well, she's 33, has three children, two in middle school, and the other hasn't started school yet. We weren't sure if she is single, as she hasn't mentioned a husband, boyfriend, girlfriend or wife. I was cut out of my day dreaming when I saw Ms Ortiz looking directly at me and signalling me to go over to her. I grabbed my bag and followed her instructions.

She eventually led me back to the music room, where Mr Alvarez was sitting, Ms Ortiz sat down, gently smiling at me. "Alice, you're probably wondering why I asked Az- Ms Ortiz to bring you here. It is because it want to form a school band out of students, I think you will be perfect. I believe you can play all types of guitar and also sing?" I furrowed my brows at this, "How do you know I can sing?" Mr Alvarez smirked slightly,

"Well, everytime I walk past you when you are alone, you seem to be singing to yourself, but I believe you have a favourite, a song by P!nk, I believe" I blushed crimson but just nodded at him. "I have plans to also recruit other people for this but-" I cut him off with a question, "I don't mean to be rude sir, but why is Ms Ortiz here?" Ms Ortiz looked to Mr Alvarez and sighed but smiled at the same time. "Santiago, isn't that such a great question?" I was surprised that Ms Ortiz said Mr Alvarez's first name infront of me.

"I thought you would have spotted it by now, Alice" I was confused, what did he mean- oh. "I knew it! When you said that your mom was from Valencia, Ms Ortiz's mother is also from there, and you said that your wife's mom-" They both cut me off with a laugh. "Alice, you do overcomplicate things. I thought the whole school would be able to tell we were married simply by how we behave. Apparently we're blatantly together, and there's no missing it. At least that's what our daughter says..." He trailed off at the end.

I was about to speak again when somebody else entered the room. "Hey, Mr A, you wanted to talk to me- Oh, Ms Ortiz, what are you doing here?" It was Soren White, resident bad-boy of our school, despite having the worst attitude, he was amazingly good-looking. Like... it should be illegal to look that good. Sandy blonde hair, mesmerising hazel eyes, and a smirk to die for. Soren turned to me and grinned, "Hi sweetheart, how're you doing?" I just rolled my eyes at him. "Hold back, Soren. You're in my classroom, not a club"

Mr Alvarez smirked at Soren and immediately made him shut up. "Sorry sir"
