Rory’s POV

A part of me wasn’t shocked at the revelation of Needy and Justin’s relationship. I was a little hurt. Needy knew what Justin was. She’d watched me mourn the ending of our relationship.

“I thought you’d be more upset about this,” Needy said, washing her hands.

“I’m sorry to disappoint. Why did you really do this?” I asked, wondering at Needy’s motives. Surely, she didn’t think this was going to make me leave Scott. This just cemented my resolve. I’d made the better choice.

“I just figured you’d care more about it than you do,” Needy said with a shrug.
