1 Ch 1 - Running from Truck-kun

In the middle of a park there is a group of children playing while their parents watching from a bench.

The trees are colored in reds and yellows and the leaves have begun to fall.

In a corner of the park an elderly man can be seen feeding pigeons with one hand and reading from a half destroyed book in the other.

The corner of his lips twitches every so often while scanning the books contents.

While most of it is destroyed the old man was able to read the following excerpts from the ragged book.

'Day 21: I have been on the run for three weeks now. No matter where I run it always manages to find me. I am currently staying in a hollowed out tree in the middle of a forest near the US and Canadian border. Food and water is tight but this is my only option to escape it. I will try to find a way to live comfortably in seclusion. I think an abandoned island would be my only option. I will be traveling to the Caribbean soon on a cargo ship. Hopefully this is the last time I have to move homes...

Day 67: On my way to the ocean it found me. I was taking shortcuts through rural areas and somehow it still got to me. I managed to lose it by abandoning the vehicle I stole and ran through alleys as it is too big to fit in such small places...

Day 93: I have finally made it to the ocean but my adversary has been learning my tactics. It is now much more prepared to track me and has become faster in the rough terrains that I have traveled in hopes to lose it...

Day 273: After traveling on the cargo ship for all this time I have finally found an island that I may be able to escape to. I jump ship and began to swim to shore. I was so relieved to finally be somewhere safe that I fell asleep on the sand

Day 274: I woke up this morning caked in sand but that's ok. I can finally start a new life without... wait... what is that... why... WHY... HOW CAN IT BE HERE, IT'S NOT POSSIBLE... I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE ON AN UNCHARTED ISLAND... THOSE TWO GLOWING ORBS... THE BLACK SMOKE RISING FROM IT... WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE... TRRRUUUUCCCCKKKK-KKKKUUUUNNNNN!!!!!'

That was where the book ended and the old man reading couldn't help but laugh and wonder what the boy in the story was doing now.
