Yun Che!

After both Yagami and Ryuk descended to Earth, they entered the floating cloud city. Soon after, a system screen appeared in Yagami's view containing a brief introduction to the city.

The floating cloud city is the smallest city in the Blue Wind Empire, so small that it hardly deserves to be called a city; it would be more fitting to call it a town. However, it's not just the smallest city in the empire; its population, economy, and even the strength of its fighters are the lowest among the entire empire.

"Hmm, who would have thought I'd start from scratch. What a joke. The weakest city in the weakest empire. What luck..." sighed Yagami, lamenting his misfortune.

"Don't underestimate anything in the world. Despite being an emperor, you lack experience in combat or necessary skills. Even your talent is ordinary. So, make use of your time to train and learn skills from the Memory of the Dead," replied Ryuk to Yagami's lamentation.

"Yes, you're right. I must find a place to learn skills and train to develop myself and utilize my strength. But as for talent, it's not important, as I possess the system ability to absorb others' powers!" After speaking for a while, the two delved into the city and observed various types of people: fighters, vagrants, and vendors.

"Oh, Yagami, look over there," said Ryuk.

"What?"

"Apples. Go buy some for me," Ryuk spotted a stall selling all kinds of fruits, including apples. He began to hover around the stall, unnoticed by anyone, and didn't pick any apples himself but instructed Yagami to buy them instead.

"Can't you buy them yourself?" Yagami asked.

"You fool. People here can't see me. Only those stronger than me can detect me!" replied Ryuk.

"Really? Then, how strong are you? Tell me," Yagami narrowed his eyes, trying to discern Ryuk's true strength, knowing he needs to gather information about him. Also, if given the opportunity to get rid of Ryuk, he would seize it without hesitation.

"As for that, I don't know. My strength lies in my Death Note, but since I merged with it, I can't use it, which means I'm powerless. Forget about it and buy me the apples, you scoundrel," Ryuk answered, then tried to change the subject as if he was hiding something.

"That cursed Shinigami is trying to play tricks. I must get rid of the system as soon as possible, as I'm sure Ryuk can control it. It's as if he can control me," thought Yagami.

"Yes, as you wish," Yagami moved toward the stall. The owner was just an ordinary old man. Yagami tried to sense him but felt no profound energy emanating from him. He was just a regular old man, or in other words, a mere mortal.

"Sir, I'd like some apples. How much are they?" Yagami said a few words, but the old man was shocked by what he heard, almost falling from shock. He hurriedly knelt before Yagami, trembling with fear.

"I dare not, this humble servant dares not to sell anything to the great master. Please forgive me. Take whatever you want, oh great master!" The old man's tone was filled with fear and reverence.

Yagami was shocked by what he saw. Then, he quickly examined the memories of the old man to analyze this strange situation.

"So, those without cultivation or profound energy are called vagrants and are at the bottom of the social pyramid. Their lives are worthless; they're like animals. It seems that addressing the old man as 'sir' frightened him to death," Yagami concluded.

"Don't worry, old man. I'm not here to harm you. All I want is some apples," Yagami looked at him coldly and said.

The frail vagrant didn't dare to delay and quickly gathered all the apples in the stall and handed them to Yagami. Yagami stored the apples in the system storage and then took out a piece of gold and gave it to the old man, saying, "Keep the change."

"Thank you, oh great god! Thank you, oh great god!" The old man continued to kneel and thank Yagami.

Ryuk took out an apple from the storage and started eating it. "Delicious. The apples of this world are tastier than those on Earth, haha."

"Don't you have any thoughts about our next move? Are you just going to eat apples?" Yagami stared at Ryuk with an unsatisfied look.

"Huh? Are you asking me? It's up to you, not me. I'm just accompanying you because I'm bored. That's all," Ryuk continued to bite into the apple nonchalantly.

"Damn you," thought Yagami, then headed towards a nearby restaurant. On his way, he received a message from the system!

Task List:

Task: Cure the profound veins of Xiao She.

Information: Real name (Yun Che), from the Xiao clan.

Reward: Unknown.

"Cure? Yun Che? What kind of hellish task is this? Am I a doctor? Also, who is Yun Chi, and how am I supposed to find him?" Yagami pondered many thoughts and questions.

"It seems I need to head to a wine tavern. From what I know, that's where I can gather information and find out who this Yun Che is!" Yagami changed his direction and headed to a nearby wine tavern, where he reserved a table close to the window.

After that, one of the waiters working there welcomed him, "Welcome, sir, to our humble tavern. You seem new here. Please tell me your order, and I'll bring it right away."

"Hmm, bring me a bottle of your finest wine," Yagami replied.

"Of course."

After several minutes, the waiter brought a bottle of exquisite wine with a wooden tray of the finest kind and opened the bottle. The aroma of the wine permeated the tavern, astonishing Yagami.

"This is the Crimson Monkey wine, sir. It's the best wine in the city. Please enjoy," said the waiter as he poured a glass for Yagami.

Yagami gazed at the wine, then tasted it and commented, "Good wine, good wine." But internally, he was deeply shocked. It was a legendary wine, incomparable to any on Earth, yet he didn't show it outwardly; he acted as if it was ordinary, which increased the waiter's admiration for him, considering him a refined and esteemed person.

"This is an honor for us, sir. Is there anything else you'd like?"

"Yes, I want to ask about some individuals," Yagami replied.

"Yes, sir. What kind of individuals do you want to inquire about?" the waiter responded.

"I want to know about a person called Xiao She!"
