Survivor Ship Bias
Isekai stories have negative skewed people's expectations of being reincarnated in another world. Those stories are based on a very select kind of experience and they don't reflect reality accurately.
If an average person is reincarnated, there's a 71.832% chance they'll die an early and brutal death. There's also the 12.072% chance they get stuck in a transit state for eternity. Then there's the 14.430% chance of not being able to die, despite wanting to.
It's basically the camera man phenomenon.
If you want to improve your survival odds, improve your present day capabilities. That's the only thing you'll be able to rely on.
