Mental Illness
Sometimes it's actually the ones who are the mentally strongest who are labeled as mentally ill or insane. Take for example M****d** J**k*. A man who openly talked about how absurd it was that a continent disappeared overnight. He kept on claiming that up until the day prior, everyone still believed in the concept of 8 continents. Due to his differing world understanding, he was taken to be mentally tested but was eventually released.
This is one of the luckier cases where in the end M****d** J**k* convinced himself that the idea of 8 continents is ridiculous.
Today's society is a typical case of where it's better to be a part of the masses or you'd be risking severe consequences.
