Chapter 1 - Beliefs

Sometimes you ask yourself what do you believe in, be it a concept,phenomena,ideology or religion.

That's the question Xander is asking himself right now.He has waited for something to happen for quite a while now.Looking out all he can see is the cold and expansive void filled with bright stars.

'Huh...I wonder how long I'm gonna wait here.I need some time to think about all that happened with...Felicia'

'Maybe I was too brash,maybe there really was an explanation.'

Sigh

'I can't stay angry...not with her.I can be biggest fool in the world but I still love her.And now a dead fool...

Now that I think about it she was a bit on edge the past weeks but I thought nothing of it.'

Suddenly he heard an old voice.

"Hello."

He turned around and he saw and old man.

"Hello...old man are you God?"

"God? no laddie just a wandering soul just like you.Why are you still here,undecided as well?"

"What do you mean?"

"There can only be two reasons why your hasn't passed on and is still in The Void."

"The Void?"

"Yes that's the plane just one floor below purgatory depending on which purgatory we're talking about."

"So why am I here?"

"You see based on one's belief people travel the through void.For example the void takes you one step closer to the place that you think you are going after death.You're either undecided or simply your soul isn't ready to pass on."

"Why is that?"

"Something is back on earth is keeping you here and I don't know what or..."

"Or what?"

"Or you're a monster who enjoyed killing people."

*Stare*

"Haha look at you how scared you are."

"Phew you were just kidding."

"Maybe...well laddie I got to take my leave."

"Voidspeed old man."

"Hehe my name's Jack...Jack the ripper."

"Haha good joke old man"

'It's a good thing I'm dead this guy would've killed me.He seemed docile.Well, no social interaction whatsoever does that to people,no?'

Some time passed and suddenly Xander felt his soul fluctuate.Then something or someone landed on top of him.He took a good look at the person and his eyes widened.

'What the fuuuu-'

The figure shouted:

"XANDER!"
