Darkness!

Standing on the beaches of Utopia, Xavier finally confronted Scott over the use of his power.

" Why are you here Xavier?" Scott asked the man.

Xavier took a deep breath and sighed as he looked out over the beautiful shade of orange covering the sky over Utopia. " It's over, Scott. I warned you if you continued down this path, I was going to stop you. You need help and I will help you." Xavier said to the man as he stood in the gentle tide of the ocean. Xavier then turned directly to look at Scott. " I will help you in any way I can."

" How dare you, Charles!" Scott yelled angerly at the man

" I'm not here to argue and I'm not here to fight. I'm here to help. Admit you need it, and this will all go."

" The ego on you. I finally put the world the way it's supposed to be. I did it, me. And it kills you." Scott yelled to the man feeling betrayed.

" You sit as judge and jury of the human race even though I specifically taught you patience and."

" No! You sat in that chair for years and did nothing! And instead of praising me for my bold vision. Instead of thanking me for saving our people you come here and threaten me? Shame on you." Scott yelled at Xavier.

" I told you I'm not going to argue with you. I'm shutting you down." Xavier explained to the man.

" You're going to make me do this? You're going to force my hand against you?!" Scott yelled.

" I'm not forcing you to do."

" I'm not going to let you ruin what I've created." Scott yelled cutting Xavier off once again.

" I'm ashamed of you." Xavier said to the man sadly. Scott tried to raise his arm but Xavier stopped him in his tracks with ease. " You think you know me. You don't even know that we're inside your mind. You don't even know the final battle is already being won." Xavier explained to the man.

Scott continued struggling to move but found it impossible. " What are you? No!" Scott yelled in anger.

" Scott, I love you and I promise I will get you help." Xavier said to the man

" Get out of my head!" Scott demanded. Using all of his power to force Xavier out of his mind and return both to reality. When Scott woke up he looked around to see the avengers and X-men all attacking him and Emma

Strange, Thor, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Luke cage, Hulk, Psylocke, Impulse, Alex summers, and Hope all watched over Scott while the others battled Emma.

" Keep the fight on Summers and Frost! Don't let up! Not for a second! Keep it contained and focused!" Captain America barked orders from the side. " Keep them off-game so Xavier can regain control and shut it down."

Scott looked up in anger and his power exploded out in the shape of phoenix wings. But before he could Act Xavier pressured him back to the ground.

" Sit down, boy!" Xavier demanded.

" Agh!" Scott yelled as he hit the ground.

" I asked you. I begged you and now I'm making you! Stop this madness!" Xavier ordered.

Up in the sky, Emma looked down to see Scott in trouble. " Scott!" Emma yelled.

" Emma. Something I've always wanted to say to you." Storm said to the woman. The sky turned grey and the wind picked up. Storm raised her hands and blasted Emma with a large bolt of lightning.

Emma hit the ground hard but was back on her feet in seconds. " What is wrong with you mutants? We're doing this for you!" Emma yelled. Seeing Scott, being attacked by the Scarlet Witch, Emma attacked and burned the woman. But while she attacked Wanda Hulk snuck up behind her and slammed both of his fists down on top of her head, smashing her into the ground hard and cratering the area around them.

" Stay down, Scott! I mean it!" Xavier yelled at the man.

Scott's anger rose once again, and so did the power of the phoenix. Now forming more and more into its previous self. " If you could have stopped me, you would have!" Scott yelled back.

Seeing the magnitude that Scott's power was growing, Magneto shivered in fear. " Dear lord."

" Last chance, Charles." Scott said to the man who was on his knees. Magneto then stepped in front of Charles and shielded him from Scott's powers. " Magneto?"

" You don't want to take it this far, Scott. I brought Xavier here!" Magneto explained to the man.

" You." Scott looked down on the man in contempt and anger.

" Listen to me, Scott." Magneto said to the man

" What are you talking about?! They're here to kill us!" Scott yelled at the man.

" Scott, listen." Magneto said again.

" You of all people. What good are you?" Scott asked as he attacked Magneto.

" Father!" Wanda yelled. Wanda immediately stood in between Scott and her father and used her chaos magic to shield the man from Scott's massive attack. " Get away from him!" Wanda yelled. She hit Scott in his face and knocked him back to the ground hard.

" Now!" Thor yelled as he swung his hammer at Scott.

Scott raised his hand and blasted Thor away with the phoenix fire in his possession. Before he could recover, Hawkeye hit Scott in the back of his neck. Scott turned and fired at Hawkeye.

" Oh, Crap." Hawkeye uttered as the beam approached him

" I gotthca!" Bart said as he ran by and scooped Hawkeye up into his arms and ran. " Welcome aboard the impulse railways next stop, the hell out of here." Bart joked.

" Thanks kid. I think he was really going to kill me." Clint said to the boy.

" No, problem." Bart said to the man. He placed Hawkeye down at the edge of the battle and ran away.

Scott, angered by the attack, ripped the arrow from his neck and turned to Xavier. " You see that, Xavier? They're trying to assassinate us! This is who you side with!" Scott yelled at the man. as he yelled at Xavier, Scott was suddenly hit by a large blast of ice from Iceman.

" Not us, you!" Bobby yelled. " It's just you everyone is sick of. Damn you summers!" Bobby yelled at the man.

" We're done here scott." Xavier said to Scott once again.

When Scott looked up they were once again back in Scott's mind.

" I blame myself for this. I put you on this path." Xavier stated. " When you wake, hopefully you won't have any."

" I told you to get out of my head." Scott yelled at Xavier He then hit Xavier with a large psychic blast.

" AAAAGHHH!" Xavier yelled in pain and then collapse bringing himself and Scott back to reality once again.

As Scott, struggled to his feet the heroes all surrounded him.

" Scott Summers you are under arrest for crimes against humanity." Steve said to Scott.

" Shut up." Scott yelled back.

" Stay down, Scott. I beg you." Storm said to the man.

Scott looked around at all of the heroes surrounding him and knew that with his current power he had no hope of beating them. But then a thought came into Scott's mind one that he both needed and hated at the same time. Scott then turned his gaze towards Emma. " I'm sorry, Emma." Scott apologized to the woman before blasting into the sky and hitting her with his optic beams.

Emma creamed in pain as she plummeted to the ground. " I can't believe you." Emma said as she watched Scott coming to attack her. As he got closer Emma grew more scared. " Don't!" Emma begged. But her plea fell on deaf ears as Scott crashed right down on top of her. He then grabbed her by the throat and started choking the life out of her.

The fires of the two-phoenix host's soared into the air preventing anyone from getting close, until finally Emma passed out.

The heroes all looked on as Scott's power rose and the two halves finally became one.

" Scott! Look around you. I'm begging you son, stop this now." Xavier pleaded with the man.

" You are not my father." Scott replied.

" That is enough!" Xavier yelled. He tried once again to stop scott but at this point Scott's power far surpassed his or any other single hero on earth at the time.

" It is." Scott replied. Scott grabbed Xavier and despite the pleas of his comrades, Scott blasted Xavier with his full power killing the man on the spot. Scott looked down at Xavier's dead body and started crying. " Why? Why did you make me do this? Why couldn't you leave it alone?" Scott asked.

As Scott was sulking, Logan turned to the Hulk. " Throw me." Logan told the brute as pulled his mask up.

Hulk picked Logan up and threw him as hard as he could at Scott, but before Logan could attack him, Scott simply blasted Logan and ripped him to shreds.

Logan collapsed on the ground next to Scott in a bloody mess.

" Are you happy now, Captain?" Scott asked the man

" I will stop this!" Thor stepped forward to fight the man.

" No. It's too late." Steve replied as he hung his head.

With all of the power finally being trapped with Scott alone, the Phoenix force had been returned to its full power. A giant blaze of fire engulfed Scott and once again the heroes were forced to merely watch as Scott changed once more.

" Oh, no." Emma gasped as she looked up at the man.

" Agh! What's happening right now?" Spiderman asked

Hank walked up to Peter and placed his hand on his shoulder. " It's our worst nightmare. It's happening. He's dark phoenix." Hank explained to the man.

Scott emerged from the fire with a completely new look. His suit was all black except for the white phoenix logo on his chest. He no longer needed his visor and lightning patterns rippled across his suit. He was finally the one true phoenix. " I am fire and life incarnate! Now and forever I am PHOENIX!"
