Chapter 32: Meet Order

The forest burned as the battle continued and the Wendigo slowly proved it could not take the heat. The Alphans defeated their Wendigo just barely with the help of Snowbird and Shaman. The team hovered outside the forest, watching.

Guardian pressed a finger to his ear, "Snowbird....."

The Owl from before swooped down towards him, shapeshifting into a Woman right before hitting the ground. Her hair was silver blonde and laid nicely against her pale skin. A silver flared crown centered by a blue jewel of sorts held the blond locks out of her face. A cloak of white feathers with a magically blue reflection enveloped her. She looked both ancient new. Unblemished. Pristine. Regal.

"Something about that man..... he feels connected to forces beyond this world." Snowbird explained as they watched the two feral Mutants tear apart the Wendigo in a firestorm.

"Yea no kidding. He almost ripped my leg off." Sasquatch grumbled from behind them.

"I'd like to think anything that ruffles a demi-gods feather's is a problem. Why is he a problem. What do you feel, Snowbird?" Guardian explained.

"He has a similar feeling to Sasquatch when he's taken over by Tanaraq. Ancient Magics run through him." Snowbird explained.

The group went silent. Watching on as the two killed the Wendigo...

Bronte stood over the massive beast, ragged breaths in the hellish silence. His claws in its chest, burning up its insides. Scorching its heart. There was nothing left to rip. Nothing to tear. A gaping hole in its stomach showed the removal of all organs, every rib. Even its spine was severed to nothingness.

He growled as the beast looked into his eyes.

"Young man.... young man...."

He wanted to enjoy the kill-- to satiate his rage at the wrongs it commited towards Laura and Raze, but the man in Native garb floating next to him wouldn't be quiet.

"Young man...."

How was he standing near him.

"Young--"

Bronte's face snapped in his direction.

The Native man hovering above ground like a ghost swallowed. His long black hair deepened the shadows running across his cheekbones and jawline, "So you can see me..."

Bronte growled, "Fuck. Off...."

As he spoke, the floating man watched a metallic liquid pour from his gums and coat his animalistic fangs.

Then something he would've never expected happened.

Bronte tore out the Wendigo's throat.

With his teeth.

A savage action with a million implications. Wendigos were cursed. Cursed from the act of cannibalism against humans. But if that was the case, what would happen to a Mutant that ate a Wendigo..?

In the distance Snowbird screamed and the world shook as a Lightning bolt fell from the sky onto Bronte. When the blast faded, he was gone....

Silence.....

Silence split by thundering blasts amidst of sea of clouds and lightning. The clouds bubbled and churned like a turbulent ocean surface. Oceans. Bronte floated weightlessly as if he were in one. For the first time, the storm wasn't so terrifying.

"Hmm....."

A voice boomed from everywhere. Feminine, beautifully calm and devoid of all things corrupt. He'd never felt so much from a simple sound.

"The last son of the Ororo Bloodline.... you reach me with as much tact as someone related to the X-Man would. You are your father's son after all. But don't forget, you are also connected to me, child..... its time you understood just how connected you are...."

Erhm. If you can correctly guess who is speaking you get brownie points and possibly a sooner upload, no promises though lololol. ANyway thanks for reading and have a good day!

Also, some things to the lore connected to these segment have been altered to fit this alternate universe. For example, i didn't read anywhere that wendigo's had a problem with heat, but as winter creatures It made sense to me.
