Wuthering Waves: Threnodian of Rebellion

A certain boarders of Jinzhou, Port City of Guixu

A man in early twenties walking towards the abandoned building while ignoring the pile of corpses in red clothes forming up like a mountain.

The man wearing a white coat with a black fur hood along with black accents on it, on his left chest of the coat was a dragon symbol which associated to Jinzhou, the youngest capital of Huanglong and a black flower with pecular design was hanging on his collar which is barely visible due to the fur. He is carrying a sword on his waist which is almost same length as Broadblade and alongside of Dual pistol on his back.

Currently at night under the full moon which is emitting an ominous phenomenon as there was another moon that overlap on it. And to make it worse it was rain, instead of falling downwards they are falling upwards.

Which is an phenomenon known as Retroract Rain, a rain that came from Etheric Sea, a place where abundant Remnant Energy resides from another dimension without a fixed place.

Retroract Rain was too dangerous be it to humans, the superhumans known as Resonator, the phenomenon of Retroract Rain was create an illusion of the past that if it got worse, this illusion will become an phantom that can easily harm the victims of the illusion.

The Resonator was a people who can manipulate the frequency of the objects alongside the ability known as Forte which is unique to every individual to fight against the monstrosity known as Tacet Discords who preyed upon the living beings just maintain their existence.

This feud has been started during the Lament, an world changing disaster that struck on Solaris 3. A disaster that changed the fate of any living beings alongside the emergence of Tacet Discords, more than a millions to billions was died on disaster and puting the civilization to the brink of collapse as many conventional tools and gadgets on that era become useless that almost put the civilization into Stone Age era.

But thankfully it was prevented by an mysterious person which is known as an Celestial Being, who has unimaginable power granted the people a hope by giving them an godlike creature known as Sentinel tmwho overseas the each region and countries .

A beings whose sole purpose was to guide the civilization for the better future, although they might mistaken as Tacet Discords due to origin was unknown but unlike the Tacet Discords who giving off with repulsive aura due to it's appearance, the Sentinels was giving off an majestic aura and appearance that many humans to worship them.

A wiseman said.

" If there was a light, there was a darkness."

Just like Sentinels who guide the civilization, there was an antithesis known as Threnodian, a being whose goal was to bring down civilization and humanity.

Threnodians was born through the known disaster as Lament, just like Tacet Discords, Threnodian shapes are varied, each Threnodian held different types of Aspect or Concept in the way how they destroy the civilizations.

In amidst of the feid of the both sides, there was organization who took advantage of the feud by aiding the Threnodian through chaos. This organization called Fractsidus whose goal was evolution for the new world in the twisted way be it creating an Artificial Overlord class Tacet Discord, creating an artificial Lament, creating an artificial Retroract Rain, controlling a Tacet Discords or worst case scenario was either creating an Artificial Threnodians.

The man looks up to see the moonwhile in the midst of Retroract Rain, instead of seeing the illusions what can he only feels was rejuvenated and getting stronger. Which is literally impossible for humans, Resonator or the Beast man race called Suan'ni unless they are chaotic nature such as Tacet Discords and most of all,Threnodian.

The man continuesly walk towards the abandoned build where the presence of multiple creatures or people was ready to ambush the man but before they could do that.

*Swiftt!!* *patchikk!*

"Arggghh"

The leader of the group was which known as Fractsidus Executioner impaled by medium sized stake that made on ice, but if one look closely to the stake, they will probably notice the large amount of small barbs around the stake which is make impossible to pull out.

" H-hhelp!!!"

The leader says while trying to pull out the stake even with the use of his extra two arms from his under his arms but still futile.

" How about no?"

The man says as he reveals his face to the people who tries to ambushed him, his face was quite pale, his eyes was sharp that can intimate those cast by his gaze, his hair was quite short and its pigment was blueish white as ice and most importantly that he has a black horn that curved upwards on his right temple. He raised his hand and snap his finger.

*Flickk!*

"Noo-oo!!!" The Executioner screams as he feels his impending doom, the barbs inside him starts to grow and impaling him more from inside to outside. From the onlookers view he might look like Glacio Prism that burst out from the body.

The body was explode into bloody mist and the colleagues of the Executioner dumbly looking at the scene as it happens so fast in their perception. As emotions that dwell up inside them was fear scream out them to flee.

" Now then." the man said as he look at them and started to move towards them.

" Where is the whereabouts of your overseers?" He ask coldly.

" Hah!, as if we will tell it to you easily, guys surround him"

The one who raise the voice among the grunt was the shortest one, with rifle on his hand and an extra limb that morph into gun on his back.

'Abandoning their brain just to confront their fear huh.' The man muttered as his curls up into smirk as he pulled out his sword from his scabbard and summons a multiple barb stakes without stopping his walking.

'We will hold him back, just to awaken the secret weapon that forbidden to use unless it necessary, as long as the secret weapon on our side, he is no match to us.'

The rifle wielding grunt known as Gunmaster though as he signal his other colleagues who wield the artillery bazooka known as Cannoner for ready to aim and the other who wield the hammer known as Thruster to charge against the man.

" Hah!! Die!!" The Thruster grunt said as they charge towards him with astonishingly speed that contrast to their obese bodies,

"Slow, let me get you." The man said as he focused the vibration on his feet using resonance energy, he blinks towards them while his weapon was put back to the scabbard as he form into iado stance.

*Click!* *Ripp!!**Rippp!!!!**Rip!* * Click!!*

The man appeared behind the group of hammer wielding grunt. The bodies of the grunt has noticeable amount of red marks on their bodies even their red uniforms has darker red mark on it.

"This amount of workout was quite disappointing " the man said as he took out the sword from scabbard and spinning it front of him to deflect the incoming bullets towards hims.

*Clink!!**clink!!!**clink!!!**clink!!!!**clink!!*

The man easily deflect the bullets, instead laying on the floor the bullets was staying in the edge of the sword.

*Click!**click!!**click!!!*** the rifle has no more ammo.

"Damn it!!damn it all" the Gunmaster grunt swears as he punching the rifle and the gun on his back was on cooldown mode, after that took out the sword of their former leader in the ground and ready to charge to the man. But he stop as he saw the strange scene in front of him.

*Swing!!**su!!**su!!**su!!**su!**su!**su!*

The man swung the blade sideways as he gave back the bullets towards them alongside the ice stakes.

"Arhh!!""ukghh!!!""rahhh!!!""help!!!""

Those people was whose recieving the bullets and stakes were the Cannoner grunt, luckily for the cocky Gunmaster grunt he used their bodies as a shield against the hail of bullets and managed to survive.

"Hahh..hahhh..." the sole survivor was breathing harshly, he look at corner where the secret weapon resides inside the tacetite capsule which height was almost twice as himself. He saw the light emitting a green light, which was ready to deploy, he suddenly leap towards the lever in desperation.

*Creeaakk!** Beepp!!!**beeeppp!!**beep!!!!**beeeep!!!*

The secret weapon which was contained slowly immerging as the Remnant Energy was leaking from its body even it's capsule was yet to open.

*Thud!!**thud!!!**thud!!*

The capsule was slowly destroyed due to fist marks on it, but it's still revealed the gap on inside as there was silhouette of a person with golden eye without sclera. The sole survivor saw its silhouette and turns around to face the man.

"Hehehehehahahahahahaha!! Your end is here!!" He said to man as he didn't what happened behind him. But the man just ignore him as he look towards the capsule.

"Hm.. is that so enjoy your last supper." The man says as he watch rather entertaining scene that will happen before him.

"What?" The grunt said as he slowly turns around as he saw the capsule was nowhere to be seen was muscular entity which wrap by tacetite that used to be the capsule as he was not aware that there was hand already reach to his head, when he was about duct away from the hand but it was already too late.

"Let go of me!!!!" The grunt said as he trying pry out his but no avail.

*Bursttt!!!!* the grunt's head burst like watermelon.

*Crunch!!**crunch!**crunch!* the mascular being started to devour the grunt which replenished its remnant energy.

"..." the man coldly watched the scene as he retracing his mind, some files that he found through in the through terminal which owned by Overseer named Scar through hacking.

Apparently besides recruiting Rover whose past was mystery, accelerating the revival of Threnodian of War, trapping the Sentinel Jue as it says was injured but to him. He already knew that Jue was fully recovered as the wielder of time it is easy for it to reverse time before it got injured.

'Probably it's time for Jinhsi's trial' the man thought as he remembered the thing in front of him.

" Artificial Threnodian : Threnodian of Famine." The man said as gather the Remnant Energy and vibration into hilt of the sword, the sharpness was deadly even without it but now every motion of the sword was already cutting the space around it.

He swing the sword two times diagonally towards the Artificial Threnodian who busily eating the corpes around it

The mascular being was crouching dumbly as there was an X mark on his body. After that the body was starting to fall apart.

"I cannot let you bound to this world like those Overlords" The man said as he sheath his sword back to its scabbard. (A/N: My head canon on Overlord class Tacet Discords respawning.).

A sound came from his back which originate towards the gourd shape device known as Pangu Terminal. The sound was absurdly stop as the projection appeared out in front of the man.

" Director Aren, what is the status on your side?"

The owner of the voice was in the projection, a young woman in her late teens wearing a black combat dress.

" It's all clear, apparently this Fractsidus they send another failure again."

The man whose named is Aren said to the projection as he motion his hand, there was an object that flew towards him. The object was an four pointed star which got some fractured on it, this object known as Tacet Core that commonly found on Tacet Discords.

" Are you okay?" The young woman in projection says to him with worried expression on her face which is rare occurrence.

" I'm okay Sanhua, how about on your side, did the barrier running functionally?"

Aren lightly smiled as he saw her concern, he look down at his which holding the Tacet Core, the core was different from those run in a mill Elite and Common ones as they possess the similarities towards the Overlord class Tacet Discord which he hunted every time they emerge from their respective Tacet Fields.

" It was running smoothly without interruptions, currently Rover and other Resonators are on the way towards Desorock Highland."

The young woman in the projection named Sanhua says to Aren who was holding a pecular Tacet Core, which in her eyes it was emitting an terrifying aura that almost want devoured anything that went across towards that creature to fill their unending hunger.

" Is that so, anyways contact Yinlin and others to check out the other boarders in case they might stumble some Fractsidus alongside with some failures, we have too many Overlord Tacet Discords here. And I don't want another one to add up here in Jinzhou. "

Aren said as he crush the Tacet Core on his hand, the energy comes from the core went inside his body, he feel getting stronger by bit as he felt he can automatically gathered the scarce remnant energy around him without putting an effort.

" Concept of Devouring huh." He said as he returned his focus on Sanhua who felt relieve as the Tacet Core vanished leaving behind the fragments which the color was fade out.

" Hey Sanhua I stumbled some Overlord Echo that suited to you during my walk to this place." He divert her attention as he took out the terminal, he shows the echo to Sanhua. The echo was an giant insectisoid creature which coated by ice, it's name was Lampylumen Myriad.

" Director I knew where it located, base on your surroundings, you're in Port City of Guixu, how far did you lost again?" Sanhua says on her deadpan expression.

" Hey walking makes my mind clear you know." Aren retortedly said as he withdraw the echo projection.

" Nevermind, Magistrate Jinsi was currently on the way to Mt. Firmament and Councilor Changli was currently requesting the council on the capital for permission to use Disruptor against the Ovathrax." Sanhua said when she noticed his way to divert her attention.

" Tell Changli to use my name in case those people want stall some time due to their pettiness, in the times where crisis like this they still chose to maintain their fragile ego." He said as he walked away from the building.

" As expected from Iron Fist of Jinzhou." Sanhua frankly said as she send the message Changli through terminal.

" Iron? It just too weak it should be Tacetite " Aren said as he ignored the remarks on his title.

" Anyway, are you available tomorrow, let's go out for lunch it's my treat." He asked.

" Unfortunately I'm busy tomorrow due to aftermath on crisis ends." She turned down the invitation through relucantly as she also want to be alone with him, but as the bodyguard of Magistrate she needs to be the handle the problems on Jinzhou due to Lady Jinhsi's absence.

" Too bad, then are you available on Moon-Chasing Festival?" He asked again, which the latter nodded in affirmation.

" Great!" He said as he noticed the incoming request through terminal. He accepted it and another projection appeared besides Sanhua.

" Papa! We completed the mission!" The owner of the voice was little girl around 10 years old, she wore a dress that comfortable for travel that suitable to her age with the color of black, white and pink, her bright pink hair reaching on her back that tied in twintail braids and ribbon on the top of hair.

" Oh Encore, how's your adventure today with your Uncle Aalto?" He said to the projection of little girl in front which name is Encore, he knelt his one leg as he crouch a little bit to match at her height.

" You see, Encore and Uncle Aalto got finally met big sis Rover, and with her help, we manage to defeat a Big Bad Ugly Guy with kabooom!!" Encore excitedly tells the story about their adventure.

" What do you feel about Rover?" He asked.

" Hmmm... being around big sis Rover makes Encore feels comfortable and safe, definitely wants to go adventure with big sis." Encore said as she right hand on her right cheek as she imagine herself fighting alongside with Rover which will encounter more big bad guys.

" Comfortable huh." He said as he thinks about it when they met few days ago.

*Thud!**thud!!**thud!!!* A sound of heartbeat could feel through his chest,after that he looks towards Norfall Barrens where the Rover and General Jiyan currently fighting the Ovathrax. He sigh as he look to Sanhua and Encore's projection, he gathered a large amount of reverberation that focus into the sword through the sheath.

" Seems like Jiyan and Rover facing some trouble, I will go there now see you soon."

He said as he was about to unsheath the and slash space in front of him.

" Papa, Encore wants to go with Papa tomorrow?" Encore asked as she press her hands together as she look at him.

" Tomorrow? Sure why not." Aren said.

"Yay!! Goodbye papa see you soon" She cheerfully said as she turned off the projection.

" Be careful Director." Sanhua said as she salute him in Huanglong way.

" Thanks, but don't worry I'm not hurting myself enough to miss my date with you in the festival." He said a he returned a salute in the same way.

" I feel that you also made promises to Lady Jinsi, Lady Changli and the others isn't?" Sanhua said as she felt helpless as she think the other women around him.

"Well a promise is a promise, it is responsibility to take care all of you."

Aren said as he shrugged his shoulder at her remarks.

" As still don't know if you are truly an Threnodian of Rebellion or Threnodian of Lust."

She refutedly said as she getting out of her behavior whenever when he is around, which is something she didn't show appart from Lady Jinsi and Lady Changli.

"Of course I'm truly the Threnodian of Rebellion, the only one rebelled against the nature of my origin."

He said as he unsheath the sword from scabbard as he positioned himself towards the direction where the Ovathrax resided.

" Good luck Director. " Sanhua said.

" Yeah, you too." Aren said as the projection of Sanhua disappeared, he swing his sword twice as a deep cross slash marks appeared in front of him which the fabric of space was forcefully ripped apart.

When cross mark was large enough for him, he entered the portal which he appeared next to the pink creature who absorbing a large amount of remnant energy to shield the two people behind it.

The Ovathrax was about to flee, it feels a dread coming from a human who suddenly appeared beside the pink creature. Which emitting a same resonance as the Threnodian itself.

"Traitor!!!!!!" Ovathrax shouted as they use the body remains of the puppet as an catalyst to create another explosion which is bigger than the first one that they use.

They used a last remaining remnant energy, they don't care even if they hibernate more longer as long they took out the Threnodian of Rebellion out of the picture, the destruction of the Solaris 3 will be much easier.

" Get out of the way!" Aren shove back the pink creature towards the rover who standing dazzily, he used all his resonance energy even the reserve to maintain his form into a tower shield that absorbed all the impact that coming towards the wielder.

*Boooooooooooooommmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!* The shockwave went towards his direction as he timely stabbed the edge of Tower Shield on the ground.

" Arckk!!!" Aren grunted as he bears the weight of explosion as he also underwent to Overclocking which is something that Threnodians didn't have.

A few seconds later

Aren silhouette was covered by smoke which couldn't tell if he was alright. Jiyan and Rover alongside the pink creature hurriedly move towards Aren.

" The Ovathrax managed to escape, as an Threnodian of War,they knew how to escape when they feel threatened." Jiyan said use his Broadblade to clear out the smoke.

When they finally cleared the smoke, Jiyan was slightly surprised what happened as he witnessed this two years ago, while Rover was surprised to see Aren.

The Aren that Rover knew was a quite sharp handsome man that might bit cold to others even to her the outsider but he is kind to those close to him, all his handsome features was dissappeared and what replaced was a boy around 10 years old sleeping on the ground even the clothes that his wearing was different that usually wearing.

" Cute.." Rover unconsciously said as she moved towards him as she lifted him like a princess, she turned towards the exit as she nods to Jiyan who was bit skeptical in the scenario, afterwards he nodded as he foller her from behind.

As for the pink creature, it was already vanished as it went towards the Rovers Tacet Mark.
