Wu Jinmai's POV
The silence alarmed my instincts. I remember when men entered my chamber and tried to kill me.
I raise my hand and grab my hairpin. I can use it as a weapon. I looked around and saw the lid of a jar. I grab it.
"Uncle? Shanguan Zu Jin?" I called.
No one was answering my call. I keep on yelling their name, but no one is answering. I turn around. I saw how they looked at me.
"What are you doing, your highness?" Pei Qin asks.
I place my index finger on my lips. I walk forward and try to walk as quietly as possible.
I saw the broom on the side. I grab it and stand on the side of the door. I used it to push it open, hoping that it's not hard to do so.
I feel relieved when I manage to open the door, even if it's hard.
