My husband grabs the memorial first. He opens it and reads the text. I saw how he slowly frowned. He closes it and looks at me.
"Your Highness, I think you need to see this yourself," Shanguan Zu Jin stated.
I grab the memorial and check it myself. I started scanning the text, and it made me frown as well. What the hell is this?
"What is the meaning of this, Minister Rong?" I ask.
He bows his head. He looks nervous, and his palm holding his court tablet is trembling.
"Your Highness, for the past weeks and months, our department has received complaints about the salary deduction that is happening to different offices in the court. They want to ask the empress the reason why," Minister Rong stated.
