4 3: Brother

Aldrein's POV

"Vice president. Where does she live?" I asked. She just shrugged.

"She's your fiancée and you don't know that?"

"Forget it." I said as I went out. I called a friend in the administrative office. He immediately answered the call.

[Yo Aldrein!]

"Canederlein Dawnterlot. Address."

[I'm afraid I can't for now. I already left the office and a single student's info is a bit hard to find. Why don't you ask her?]

"Useless." I boringly said.

[Ouch bro. Then just ask her if you can send her home. You have a car anyway. Wait a minute, you're interested in a girl?! That's news! I shou--] I hanged up and looked everywhere for Candy Cane. I saw her walking alone while holding some papers. She's not going home yet? It's already 6pm though.

We made eye contact and she stopped walking. I approached her and stole the papers away from her. I read the content.

"Give that back Aldrein!"

"Don't call me Aldrein. Think of an endearment Candy." I returned the papers to her.

"Endearments are so cliche. Is Drei okay with you?" I nodded and noticed something. I leaned closer and touched her lips.

"Someone kissed you. Who's he? Wait a minute...that treasurer!" she seemed amazed on how I got it right.

"He's an asset. It's a waste to kill him." she said as she held my hand that is touching her lips.

"Fine. But if he even make a single move on you, I'll be sure to end his life." She smiled.

"I didn't know jealousy can be tasty until now." She said and that made my heart flutter.

"Anyway, do you want me to take you home?" she smiled playfully. Huh?

"To whose house exactly? Yours?" that made me blush a little. I can't be the loser here.

"If you want to. It'll be nice to have a companion, especially on a cold night." she widened her eyes and immediately blushed. I smiled because of this.

"Let's go and submit the papers. I'll escort you home."-me

"T-there's really no need. I live in the dorm." Someone's watching. That made me thrilled.

We went to the faculty room and walked to the dorms. That person is still following. When we're already in front of the girl's dormitory, we bid farewells. I acted like I was leaving. That person didn't follow me. He went inside the dormitory with a package.

Oh no, my dear Candy Cane is being followed by a stalker. Can't blame him. My Candy is such a beauty and is extraordinary. I followed the stalker secretly and watched him. He's now trying to hack the digital door lock installed on my Candy's door. He's successful.

He entered the room and before he closes the door, I went in. I have a high stealth so he can't notice me. I heard the sound of water so my Candy is in the shower. The stalker went to a room which I assume is her bedroom. What a perv.

When I came in, he immediately pointed a gun at me.

"You've been following me have you?"-him

"You just noticed? Weak."

"What are you doing here?"

"Haha! I should ask you that."

"You're the guy she's with earlier. How are you related to her?"

"I'm her fiance. And you are?" he was shocked and puts his gun back in his pocket. He positioned himself in a fighter pose.

"Fight me." I didn't answer nor move an inch. He started moving closer to me. He's about to shoot a punch when the door creeked.

"Just what the hell are you two doing here?!" He stopped and looked behind me. I was about to look when the guy tackled me and I was facing the floor.

"Get dressed! This man can't see you like that!" what the hell is this guy saying? And he's quite heavy, his body seemed well built.

"Kuya (a filipino term for brother)?!" kuya? Her brother?

....

We are now at the sala of Candy's dorm.

"I'm sorry about my brother. He has this habit of surprising me with a visit like this. He said he's testing me if I could already defend myself." Candy explained. No wonder why Candy is a fighter.

"It's okay. I'm glad that I met your brother." I said as I sipped from a cup of tea.

"Canederlein! How the hell are you engaged with this man?! You didn't even tell us?! And you don't have a boyfriend!" her brother hissed.

"I'm sorry okay? All of you are busy so I didn't manage to inform you." Candy answered.

"It's too fast! And this man is no ordinary guy! He's been in the same academy as mine back then! He's a skilled assassin!" Now that I look at him, he's really a colleague of mine. He's one of the top students and my competitor back then.

"Azekiel Yulo Dawnterlot aka Ace. You don't have to worry about our relationship. I will never kill her. I love her and I want her to be my partner in my whole life." I answered honestly but he glared at me.

"Words are nothing if it isn't put in action. I care a lot about my sister and getting involve with you will only endanger her."-Yulo

"Kuya, I really love him. I'm willing to be in a dangerous situation just to be with him." I smiled because of that.

"You don't even know him!"-Yulo

"Then I'll get to know him better!"-Candy

"Trust me, the moment you knew his true nature, you'll be the one to leave him." that made me remember my ex.

"I know I won't. Kuya, you know how much I love psychopaths!" I blushed a little.

"You and your dangerous weirdness! This guy is cold and seemed like he has no feelings. Do you still want to love him?"

"Stop right there Yulo. If I really have no feelings, how can I bluntly say that I love her? I know the meaning of love and all kinds of emotions and I felt it all because of her. She unlocked the feelings that I've been suppressing since then. I'm not gonna let go." I didn't even felt these feelings with my ex. I just realized that my words are cliche. I hope Candy won't mind.

"I hate cliches but you made me like it Drei." Candy said with a sweet smile. Then she bit her lower lip and looked away. That makes me want to kiss her.

"W-wha?" looks like Yulo is out of words. I tried to control myself. I'm about to kiss Candy's sweet lips. And she kept smiling like an angel! I remembered that she was kissed by that treasurer...

I stood up and that caught their attention. I walked towards Candy and kissed her on her lips. It was a one second kiss and when I pulled away, I looked at her. She's in a trance and when she realized what I did, she looked down and her redness is evident on her face and ears.

"ALDREIN CASTELION!!!" oh, I forgot that Yulo is still here. He stood up in rage and tightly held my collar.

"Who gave you permission to kiss her?!"-Yulo

"She's tempting." I said as an excuse. It's true anyway. His hands are trembling in anger but he calmed down. He let go of me and sat on the chair. He looked at his sister who's still looking down.

"You-! Argh! Let's talk tomorrow. Go home Aldrein."-Yulo

"I'll sleep here." I said.

"You can't!"-Yulo

"And you can?"-me

"Of course! I'm her brother! Isn't it obvious?!"

"It's late at night. I'll sleep here. I'm willing to sleep on the floor, you'll sleep on the couch."

"What? You can't."

"Just let him be kuya. He won't do something to me." Candy interrupted our childish fight.

"I win. Where are the blankets?" I said with a smirk on my face.
