48 The Shadow Unit
That statement from him out of the blue shocked me to my core. I couldn't believe that he would think so little of himself or that we would think so little of him. Without him we would of not had Micheal and I probably would of died. He is valuable to me more then he knows.
"Ok that was pretty shocking!!!" I said out loud in a shocked voice. "Max, I am sorry you feel that way but I think you are one of my the most valuable members of my seethe. You were there when I needed help and stopped that door from crushing me. I want you to be the head of my Intel unit which I will call the shadow team and I want to give you one other person right now with more to add later, as we need more to spread out. I could give you more right now if you want but I want you to train each person personally so they fit exactly what you need. You will be able to mold people using each person's strength and weakness for the team as a whole. You will take orders from Cain and I and then report directly to me whatever information you find or news you need to share from your task. This truly is a big responsibility as you can think secret police, the eyes that are always watching everything, or whatever you think of when I say an elite unit in the shadows. The choice is yours."
I noticed that while I was talking Max went from slumping with a frown to standing up straight and having a huge grin that showed off his fangs. He was clearly overjoyed with the opportunity that I was offering him.
It took a minute or two before he snapped out of the oh my god state and realized that I was waiting for an answer. "Yes, Master I would love to do this job for you. I prefer the behind the scenes and in the shadow work. Who will I get for my first project?"
"I was planning to give you the male named Hanho, as your first project. Unless you have someone else in mind you want. I will have your team be a mixed gender for the sake of balance but right now I will need to add other females to the seethe that haven't been abused like those out there have. I need women that wouldn't fear taking orders from a male and what that could mean for them." I replied calmly.
Just then there was a knock at the door.
"Enter Georgina." I said quietly.
Max looked at me and said, "I accept him for my project, thank you very much. I will not let you down."
"Very well Max, please exit now as I need to talk to Georgina and you need to go meet your person. Though I wouldn't tell him why you want to get to know him until we bind him to you. Just befriend him and figure out what you will need to work on. Plus I will still need to give you your actual job description in detail as well, so trying to tell him what you want him to do without that information might be a bit hard for you to do." I smiled as I spoke.
Max nodded and bowed and then left my room. We had Micheal and Georgina in the room now and that was it. I could feel Cain's desire to hear what is going on in this room as well as his desire to take part in this meeting but I gave him a task and didn't give him permission to come back yet.
"Master, I did as you asked and they were very happy that they wouldn't be abused again. You have them as loyal subjects if you want them. A few i felt have the potential to have abilities but they probably wont be very good at whatever they are. Most were pretty much fully broken when turned. Also almost no one has a name in the group as well. I think only one has a name and that is Jisu. She seems quite cold but yet efficient at whatever her task will be from what I have gathered from the others in the room. If I am given the freedom to mold the group into a true group she would make a good enforcer and spokesperson. The rest are looking forward to you naming them when you bring them into your seethe." Georgina said as soo as Max closed the door.
"That is good to hear. Now Georgina and Max I have a task for you both. When I am away and busy, Cain will be here to run the seethe. Neither one of you are bound to him. I want you both to follow his orders that come from me but also watch him and report to me if you see something off. I don't want you to undermine him in front of the rest of the seethe though. I understand Georgina that you don't like Cain and have a grudge from previous seethe issues but I need you to keep that under wraps and you need to realize that he will be different now as he is bound to me. I do have the ability to see out of his eyes when I choose to and watch what is going on without being in person. As such, Micheal, I want you to be the go between for them both. Eventually I will add more people as the seethe grows to equal your level but I will do my best to always keep it at an odd number if I can. I want you guys to be a council of sorts although I hold 100% power and final say no matter what. If I am not around though it will allow you guys to figure out what to do as a team and then you can vote on it and have that carry over accordingly. Cain knows of my intent here when I choose not to bind Micheal to Cain at all. Any questions? If not then lets go line them up and get the binding process started for each person and group." My statement was made with Cain in my head begging me to come back in and take part in this meeting which I ignored.
Both shook their heads to the no questions answer and didn't seem to have any questions for me nor anything to say on their purpose in the seethe. I stood up and they both went to each side of the door like good generals. Micheal opened the door for me and I stepped through to the other room with them both following behind me. Cain walked over to me as well and bowed and then moved to my left side where he belongs with Micheal on my right. Georgina was directly behind me with a smirk on her face.
