Life Issue Seeing Clearly

I believe that people shouldn't pay for contact lenses and glasses. It's a matter of fact people didn't ask to be blind or semi-blind. For me, growing up having to wear glasses has been difficult knowing I can't see clearly without them. For instance, I took swimming classes growing up, and having to squint my eyes with my goggles on was hard. Everything that was more than a foot away from me was hard to see. I constantly bumped into people or things because it was very challenging to see unless it was directly in front of me.

I wonder what is the purpose of paying for glasses and contacts if you need them to continue your daily life. It shouldn't be a problem to receive them for free because people don't wake up and say "I'm going to be blind or partially blind from now on." That's not the case, as time continues our eyes get worse. I also believe the eye doctors try to make you blind so you can pay to schedule an appointment and pay more money to get the glasses they prescribed to you when they are the reason your eyes are damaged. There should be no reason for us to suffer and pay for glasses. Some people can't afford to take care of themselves, more or less for glasses? I don't think so.

In high school, I used to hate sitting in the front. Knowing I can break my glasses at any time and be semi-blind for the day always aggravated me. Just in case my glasses break, I wouldn't have to worry about squinting my eyes since I'll be so close to the front. I always wished that one day I would wake up and see clearly without having to put them on. Every now and then I would get teased by my friends when we have arguments about how I can't see or how I have four-eyes. It wasn't fair that people got lucky that they don't have to worry about taking trips to the eye doctor.

Since 2008, I've been informed I'm becoming far-sided and I have to wear glasses. I ended up damaging my eyes even more throughout the years because I refused -REFUSED- to wear them. I felt as if people would look at me differently or they would tease me. Jokes are that everyone gets teased for every little thing they can find about you that's different from them. But hearing them making fun of what I had to do to be successful was utterly unbelievable. Why do people do that? What makes that enjoyable? You sit there and joke about a person trying to provide for themselves.

At a point in time, wearing glasses became my thing, but paying for it, NOPE, I rather not even try it. I just wish glasses and contact lenses should be free because it helps people be more successful without having to worry about their financial problems.
