He couldn't even bend his legs because his arms had been tied behind him and secured to another ring in the wall or something. So a smart kidnapper who'd arranged suitable accommodations ahead of timeor known what to look for when he'd been house hunting for evil kidnapper headquarters.
Hazy light let him see that Lynn was in much the same situation, but against the opposite wall, though they were close enough his feet reached halfway up Lynn's shins.
Why the fuck had Sean kidnapped them? When had he become an alchemist? His father was a goddamn priest. Had Sean really gone that far off the rails? Wasn't CEO of an enormous corporation enough so far as defying home and tradition went?
