"Hello, Susie," Anderson said. "Didn't expect you to be working this old place."

She shrugged, smiled. "Robinsons wanted to sell, and I'm not so cut out for the family business." The smile turned a bit wry. "Guess you'd know something about that."

"Something," Anderson replied, then hooked a hand through Lynn's arm and hauled him forward. "My fiancé, Lynn. We were hoping to rent a room—for several months, if that's doable. I don't want the hassle of renting a house."

Susie snickered. "Uh-huh. I'm pretty sure you don't want the hassle of cooking, Glitter."

"Glitter?" Lynn echoed, brows shooting up, looking torn between amusement at the nickname and annoyance that somebody else had a cute nickname for his unicorn.
