Anderson groaned and stretched, then turned over to get some sun on his front and let his back cool off a bit.
So far as being unemployed went, it was a hell of a lot more fun the second time around than it had been the first. That time, his mother had practically thrown him out of the house she was so offended he'd dared to stop working for the family business. His father had cast him disapproving looks and stony silences for a week, and his sister had enthusiastically followed their examples. After his mother had gotten over her offense enough to talk to him, she had started in with the harassing and guilt-tripping. Then had come the scoffing while he worked on joining the Bureau. His family was breathtakingly supportive when he fell in line and rampantly hostile when he did not. And heaven help him if his sexual escapades came into it.
