Chapter 53

Tapping his fingernails on the chair arm, Jett was putting Ace on edge as they sat in the waiting room of the hospital. His foot, tapping continuously in rhythm on the floor, was unnerving.

Ace stared at him hoping his friend would catch a hint and realize how annoying he was being. Enough was enough when he gritted his teeth, ready to punch him..

"Would you stop that! That's annoying as hell! You're diving me insane, man," Ace finally snapped.

"Sorry, bro. I didn't realize I was doing it. I'm just worried about the girls and can't sit still. I know you are too, so don't be such an ass," Jett said, and he took a calming breath. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine, just stop."

"What's taking so damn long. We've been her for hours," Jett said as he got up, pacing the floor. "This is excruciating."

"Dude, it can't be much longer now. Just relax."
