He had watched her walk towards him, this was no place for a lady like herself, but she was able to blend smoothly, his hands brushed hers in a handshake as he could feel her soft palms on his.
"The pleasure is mine" he responded without taking a second look at her.
She picked a seat directly facing him and stared directly at him. She couldn't deny for a moment that he had the good looks but she dare not think anything stupid, the girls at the bar stared dagger at her, it was like she stole something that belonged to them, "was he theirs? "
Whatever they thought didn't matter, she couldn't care less, she wasn't there for them, she had more pressing issues to deal with.
The silence that ensued after the exchange of pleasantries got her quite uncomfortable.
He was good looking and dangerous, she knew he wasn't one to mess with, she had to be clear and straightforward with this one.
For Ki Jung his loyalty lied with anyone with the bag, nothing else mattered in this world.
"Ehemm" she cleared her throat breaking the awkward silence between them.
"Let's cut to the chase Ki Jung"
"Black Jack" he responded with a thick masculine voice
"Sorry," she asked quite confused as a tiny line of folds appeared briefly on her forehead.
"Call me Black Jack" he repeated calmly
"Oh right black Jack" she responded slowly.
Not like his real name was Ki Jung, he was way smarter than that he just didn't like to be called by a name, a pseudonym was perfect, besides it matched his personality.
He was unassuming, she just didn't know what to expect but did she care about his moods? Or his likes and dislikes?
"Not exactly" she concluded in her heart.
She faced the bartender, he was about 5'10 in height and pretty muscular,
"Do you care for a drink before we proceed?" she asked not sure of what his response would be
"No" he responded coldly
"One shot of tequila please" she turned as she brought out a hundred dollar note from her purse and slid it to the bartender.
She swallowed the shot in a whiff and was prepared to swing her plans in motion
"What exactly do you want" was the question that fell from Ki Jung mouth, she wasn't expecting him to say anything. Since he had only said a few words to her since she got in.
"I want to reclaim what is mine," she said coldly.
"Who are we talking about here?" she dipped her hands into her bag and brought out a brown envelop as she stretched her hands to hand it over to him.
He took the envelope and stared at it for a moment.
She spoke up again, everything about your target Is in that envelope.
"Do whatever you want with her, but just take her out of my way"
"Alright done," he said simply as he picked the envelope and made his way out of the club.
Mi Cha watched him leave and was quite confused.
"He just left, without any explanation, he must be quite good"
She adjusted her shades, the last thing she wanted was to be seen in this environment, she wouldn't be able to explain why she was there. She stood up to take her to leave, the voice of the bartender brought her to a halt
"Your balance ma'am"
"Keep it" she responded as she made her way to the car parked outside
The drive home was smooth it was already past midnight.
She was lost in deep thoughts, she needed Li Muchen at all cost and she wasn't going to let him slip through her fingers, she had the money and the name, she was the perfect match she thought to herself. She knew Black Jack would do what he must but there was a limit to what he could do, she needed to make sure that she sealed the deal with the Li's.
She leaned her head to the window of the car as her driver made his way to the estate, she lived in the governor's lodge, it had several gates with palm trees at both sides, it was a heavily guarded building, with huge gates before the main building. It had a huge mansion with a beautiful waterfall designed by one of the best sculptors in City A, it had two unicorns facing each other, with water coming out from their mouths, the unicorn stood on a platform with three steps which had pool water flowing down to the base with a colourful light disc attached to the walls of the pool.
She got out of the car and made her way inside
"I need to do something and I need to do it fast," she said as she walked into the mansion.
