The detective already knew that, so he didn't say anything more. He had already found the answer he came looking for. The person he caught was not the axe murderer, but he was the serial killer who murdered these people.
"I'm going to let you wrap things up here while I go over to the station and finish up what I was doing." The detective said and then drove back to the station.
On his drive back to the station, he remembered how he had seen the guy while he and his partner were on a patrol in that area.
They were on watch duty, trying to catch anyone who looked suspicious because of the murder cases that have been going on these past few days.
The said guy had come out of the dark alley with his hands in his pocket while he stared down at his feet while he walked.
