Who are you?

Two glowing silver eyes were staring down at Mars from a pitch black fog that was tainting the pure white colour of this space, slowly drawing everything in.

"I was waiting, little human. Please don't take this entry as an offense, after all I was here first."

'Who is that? No what is that?'

"For who I am, I cannot tell you yet, so just call me Aurelius. I am another life form, a Wyrm to be precise, one of those that attacked your world and now I am here inside your Mind Space. Don't worry about why I am here, just think of me as your guide through this experience."

'Mind reading!'

The black fog looked amused as if it found a new tool for use. Its old eyes almost glimmed sinister.

"Yes, in a Mind Space you are able to read the creators thoughts, if he can't control it to his own will and you are still lacking the ability to do so." He looked closely at Mars sneaking right before his face. "But I must say, it is astonishing, that you survived through the Assembly. Not every life form is able to do this. It might be because of that unique race..." Aurelius was pondering about something strange.

"I know you have a lot of questions, but we have to hurry. A Mind Space is not only a weakness, because it shows your inner thoughts and nature, but also someones greatest strenght, since this is your own realm. You can be the absolute ruler of this place and no one will be able to touch you, if you can defend it. You are even able to influence the outside with it. So treat it with care. No one can take this from you. Master this mental path and begin studying the physical path as well, then I will tell you more." The fog quickly dissipated before saying a few last words. "The system will help you with any question you have... Keep this a secret and don't keep me waiting too long... Goodbye for now."

As the fog faded the mind space returned to its pure white colour, every drop of darkness dissapearing.

Mars was still shaking and was frightened to death from this experience. It felt as if he was standing before a God of Death, giving him a near death sensation. If that being willed it, he could have killed Mars just by thinking about it.

The exhaustion that was bottling up, now released leaving Mars to fall down to the ground and going unconscious.

... INITIATING FORCEFUL LOG OUT FROM MIND SPACE ...

After seeing Mars getting thrown out from the Mind Space, did the black fog appear again." Let us hope I made the right decision, Venus."

- Mars woke up only to find himself on an hospital bed. The sheets were drenched in sweat and stunk like a bear in heat.

There were voices coming from the nearby hallway, the commander was talking with the medic from before "...know... happened... just... down... an unusual coma." "Good, inform me of any changes that happen to him." "Commander - wait! He just woke up!"

Mars heard the door sliding to the side and someone Invading the room.

"Special Ops Mars are you alright? You were out for almost 2 hours." 'Those were just 2 hours? Does the time flow differently in there?'

... QUESTION DISCOVERED ... THE TIME RATIO INSIDE MIND SPACE AND MENTAL CORE IS 100 TIMES FASTER THAN THE OUTSIDE ... QUESTION ANSWERED ...

"Yes, I am fine now, do you know what the problem was?"

"No, we have no idea yet, but maybe your Mental core was shattered so much, that your current host couldn't take it and you fell into a coma after accessing it... But it seems your condition is better now. Have you done it? Assembling your Mental Core?"

Mars thought about the secretive way of that Wyrm and decided to twist the truth. "Unfortunately not... It was almost shattered and I merely stabilized that form..." "That are still good news, do you still remember the plan? Why we chose this planet as a base?" The Commander asked hastily with an anxious look.

"No, I am not aware of it anymore."

"And what about your abilities?"

Mars just shaked his head.

"DAMN IT! DOCTOR! Do everything you can to restore his powers. I'll brief you later, Special Ops Mars."

"You heard him. Let us get you to rehab asap."

- "Who did that to him? He is completely helpless right now? How are we even supposed to win like that? We are risking all of our lives with this operation, so I need more informat-"

Silence. The communication channel was closed soon after. "Sigh, I hate such schemes... Are they really leaving us to die like that? Jupiter... What are you up to?"

- 'It seems like I can rest again, at least for a bit.'

Mars was finally alone again, being able to think about how that Invasion happened and where all the others are. He came to the conclusion that he had no freaking clue. As for his parents, he already found his dad, but his mother was nowhere to be seen. His friends were also not there, since he had no friends. There had been co-workers in his old life, but as a sworn keyboard warrior he was always alone.

Mars's thoughts: "I really am lost. Everyone I know recognizes me as someone who I am not. My old life is nowhere to be seen and I am meddling with things that I should definitely avoid. I mean higher beings? That sounds scary and dangerous af... Just what am I supposed to do?"

Aurelius's thoughts: "He has a lot to learn..."
