Panic in the Palace

When the king saw him running towards where he sat with his family, he quickly told the queen to take the princess into the palace house. The queen did as told and the princess's personal maid Alice followed them too and told two other palace maids to carry the remaining gifts to the princess room. As the drunk drew closer to the kings seat, Ray the king's personal/chief guard who always stood at his back draw his sword and ran to the front of the king to prevent the drunk from coming any closer.

Ray could not understand why he felt dizzy and staggered as he told the drunk "stop or be cut into pieces with my sword".

Amana the drunk stopped and said'' please forgive me oh king,i forgot to say something!". The king said don't speak further, just go out of the palace before l unleash my anger on you. See the way you are creating fear and causing nuisance here,Take him away guards!"

The two guards that ran after him took him away. As this was happening, Ray was still feeling dizzy he let out a loud scream and slumped. Everybody was confused especially the king whom he has been with all day. The guard's around came to help him stand,but he could not stand. They carried him to his room and the kings family Doctor who was present at the party followed them to examine him.

The whole palace was filled with panic as the king's personal/chief guard was being examined by the royal family's Doctor. Everyone was suprised the way he slumped , he doesn't look sick and he was very active throughout the party. He eat very well and danced too. Noise was everywere in the palace as everyone was talking about the chife guard that slumped. In order to control the noice and maintain peace in the palace,the king instructed Mike his personal assistant to dismiss all their guests so they start going.

Mike acted immediately by announcing that its time for everyone to go so that the King and his family will concentrate and face the latest development in the palace. Mike thanked all the guests unbehalf of the king and family and they all left the palace. The palace guards helped to control the movements of the guests to the entrance gate to ensure no one stayed back.

The princess while in her room with her mum and her personal maid was about to start opening the birthday gifts when one of the palace maids ran into the room and told them what happened. The queen shouted ''Ray slumped!, How? Why?"

"He didn't tell the King or myself that he is sick, or did he tell any of the guards or maids?" She asked the two maids that were with them in the room. "No your majesty,they both answered".

"Oh my God why slumping,he was very active through out the party,Lord have mercy!" the queen said with sadness and panic in her voice. She shook her head and told the princess to stay there with the maids while she goes to see what is happening to the guard. She took her small hand purse which she dropped on the princess's bed and left the room. The princess was speechless,she couldn't say a word till after 10 minutes after her mum left her room. She kept pondering over the issue and what could be wrong with Ray. The two maids with her were looking through the window,wondering what is happening in the guards room at that time.

"I just hope that the doctor has given him something to wake him up" one of the maids said.

"The princess turned to her and said "I hope so too"

"This is the first time l have heard that someone slumped. I wonder what could make him slump like that" I pray he recovers fast. This incident has spoilt my day", the princess went further to say.

Alice her personal maid came closer to her, held her hands and told her not to worry,that everything will be fine. She tried to divert her mind to another thing to make her feel better.

"Hey my princess,let's start opening your gifts now". The princess looked at the gifts,sighed and said "let the gifts wait for now".

"Ok then try and take your bath", when you are done i will tell you some stories and then we will watch some movies.

"Better said the princess as she moved towards her bathroom.

The queen met her husband - the king in the sitting room walking up and down with his two hands folded.He saw her and said "my dear you are here".

"Yes my king, i left the princess immediately l heard what happened, I don't like this kind of incident on my daughter's day" said the queen.

"Hmmm it is well my dear, Let's wait and see what the doctor will say. I wonder what is keeping him so long in the guard's room, l thought by now he would have talked to me let's know if he will continue his treatment here or taken to the hospital" said the king in panic.

"Where is Mike your Personal assistant?" asked the queen.

"I told him and Arum the store guard to stay with the doctor in case he needs assistance. I'm not comfortable any more,let's go and see them said the king". They both went to the chief guards room to see if he is better.

As they worked down the corridor that leads to the chief guards room,they could hear the king's personal assistant saying "Doctor what do we do,should l alert the king?"

"No not yet let me do cardiac massage first and see if he will respond", replied the doctor.

The King and queen knew immediately that there is a problem, they walked faster and entered the room.

"What is happening to him?" asked the king as they saw the doctor doing cardiac massage on him.

"My king, I am trying to resuscitate him!"
