13 Vera against Anna

1 week had passed, and the entire wounds of William had already healed up. Even his original strength had returned along with his physical appearance.

He has some scars regarding the wounds on his body, but he didn't pay it attention. He was heavily built, his muscles could be seen despite being young. He was already experience in war right now.

"I'm finally healed up, those bandages can be annoying sometimes." He then check his shoulder which he stretch and spin it slowly. Then some of the bones begun to pop as he was slowly getting comfortable.

"That felt good." He said, while thinking about the current times. He was now ready to fight for another war.

"This time... I must be strong..." He said, while looking in front of him. It was his uniform, and his arsenals.

Which he begun to change his clothes and equip some of his grenades, ammo, and his weapon, Kar98k. The standard rifle of all infantry.

Which he was finally done changing, he grab his helmet and place it above his head, with a iron cross attached to it. "Let's go." He said, while coming outside his room where he was greeted by his squads, and his squad leader Anna.

"You're finally back, now let us continue towards Minsk. There is some tiny resistance inside Minsk, and we were task to eliminate them soon as possible. Despite the fact we have already occupied it. The resistance would never give up." Anna said, which everyone nodded.

"We must strike them before dawn, those pesky commies knows how to hide in the dark too well."

"How many are they?" Ursula ask.

"I'm not sure, but the infamous Red Avenger of Minsk, a female soldier was wrecking havoc inside the Minsk and she even got the highest priority to eliminate her, and it was ordered by the higher ups on who ever captured or killed her would be awarded to raise the morals of the soldiers." Anna stated, which William flinch a little as this is almost like the White death in Finland against the Russians.

"I see now." Ursula stated.

"Now let us move on, hunting those commies inside Minsk isn't going to be an easy job, but the early we eliminate them the earlier we can rest." Anna stated, which she grabs her Mp40, and her Helmet.

William then ready his Kar98k, and his P-38 which he took a deep breath and calm down his thoughts. He was slowly getting better at controlling his emotions since the last time, it almost drove him crazy, since he reach his limits of not throwing up.

"William... you're a man, and you're now alone in this world now show your true self and become independent and become stronger than you ever will." He said to himself which he slaps both of his face to wake him and keep his sanity the same as ever.

William then follow Anna from the back, as they now ventured towards Minsk, the capital of the Belarus.

They are now about to step into the urban warfare, where only Anna and William has the experience, while the rest was not experience in urban. William still has some foggy memories which he saw his child past from this world. He was just any ordinary children as he expected, his mom died due to giving birth to him, and his dad died in world war 1 due to him being drafted which leads William to be alone in this world to survive.

"It seems I have mistaken about you William... you were alone in this entire world by your own self... I admire your courage and tenacity, but I'm sorry for taking it as well it wasn't my intention of doing so... I promise you that I will survive this war." William finally gain some goals to survive this war rather than his safety.

Somewhere in the Minsk, it was almost a ruin as the city was bombarded to rubbles like nothing. Vera was now getting exhausted and tired she was already been fighting everyday.

She only have half of her strength to continue and the others was already failing due to food shortage they have. "Everyone! Fall back! We need to retreat!" Vera shouted which everyone slowly fall back, as the moment they turn around they were shot down in front of Vera's eyes.

She was frustrated, as she bit her lips. She keep firing her Mosin Nagant-91 nonstop. Until she finally ran out of Ammo and run towards behind some buildings like always.

She then goes inside the house as to make her last stand. She only got her knife as her last resorts of weapon.

The Wehrmacht soldiers then burst through the door of Vera, as she could see the soldiers running upstairs where Vera is. The stamp of there footstep running towards her, and finally she hid herself behind a closet.

The soldier then split up to find her, A single soldier then goes to a bedroom which the soldier begun to check the room which the moment he turn around, Vera then opened the closet and pound the soldier on his back, while striking it with her knife through the neck killing the soldier instantly.

She drop the knife and grabs the Kar98k, which she fired it a single time and pulled the bolt action, and fired once more. Vera keep doing this until she cleared the entire group of soldier coming into her territory.

Vera was exhausted, which she grabs the MP40 in the hands of the dead soldiers, which she also grabs the ammo around them as her disposal.

Anna and her squad members finally reached Minsk. Anna then board outside the truck along with her squads. "Everyone on me!" Anna shouted, which Ingrid, Manfred, and Peter are in the front while in the middle is Anna, and William while in the back was Ursula and Karin.

While somewhere in the 2nd floor of a building, you could see Vera watching them from upstairs. "Another group of soldiers huh? Then let them come through here... and I will hunt them until only one remains!" Vera has a fiery eyes that is filled with revenge.

"Now, let's end this game of cat and Mouse... you commies." Anna stated in her thoughts, while Anna saw a slight movement in the curtain of the building where Vera was.

"Alright, squads Ursula and Karin get towards the second building at the end of the road and secure it, Manfred go with them."

"Understood." Which the three of them goes to the end of the road.

"Ingrid, and Peter go to the other buildings and secure it. William on me, we're going to clear that middle building." Anna ordered them.

"Understood!" Everyone begun to move towards there position.

Anna and William are now together, and going to secure the building towards Vera's own territory.
