Chapter 1Chapter1: virtual world

In a dark room, there was a man in his thirties, sitting on an office chair with his feet on top of an desk with an elevated glass surface. He was holding a glass filled with spherical ice and a brownish liquid that has an strong aroma of alcohol. When he lightly shake the glass on his hand, the clinking sound could be heard in every direction of the quiet room. He seemed so relaxed and enjoys the calm environment of the place.

"Oh, Chief, what are you spacing out there?"

there was a random voice that could be heard at some corner of the room.

"I think it is a little bit rude when you are coming in the office of your superior all of a sudden, without even knocking." casually said by the man sitting on the office chair. Even though the voice came out of the blue, it was like he already knew that he was not alone in the room.

"(Chuckles) I'm so sorry, chief."

Then the shadow in the corner, knocked lightly the nearby book shelf. Although the room was dark, it was exceptionally neat and clean. The books in the corner were organized in an excellent way, the decorations was a little bit simple but it gives a luxury vibes because of the combination of dark wood floor, the porcelain vases that have various sizes and colors and other furnitures that have different designs.

The man stopped shaking his glass at the unexpected movement of that person then he stared at the corner where the voice was heard from.

"So, what is the motive of our almighty great A.I."frankly said by the man in a serious tone.

"Oh, so you have already guessed my identity. What an excellent insight and observation skill you got there, chief." said by person by the dark corner of the room. But the man that the person called chief didn't give a response at all; while it was clearly waiting for the man's response.

"Why are so serious all the time? What are you thinking so deeply right now, sir?" said by the person in the corner, sounding concerned, because it didn't get any response from the man even after some minutes.

"Why don't you use the privilege that the alliance granted to you to read what I'm thinking right now?" Finally, the man who would not care less to the world responded to that person's questions.

"Tsk tsk you know chief I cannot do that casually. Although I am the master AI of this virtual world, I'm also bounded by some restrictions." casually said by the person in the corner. It was like they were quite close to each other.

After that, the shadow walked near in the pure glass window in a simple manner. The moonlight revealed her white smooth long hair and fairy-like skin that glow like a pearl in the sea. When the moonlight hit her skin, it was like an angel descended to this room. Yes the person that was in the dark corner of the room was an exceptional beauty that can steal the luster of the world and it was like the surrounding was automatically concentrating to her and was becoming the center of the world's attention.

At the window you can clearly see a grandiose scenery of a starry nightsky with a violet aurora that was moving towards the big blue moon while the sea was reflecting the moon light and creating an illusion of gems scattered to the ocean. It was a scenery that seems like you were in heaven when you see it. Also, every time the water moves, it was creating a splash sound that can bring a relaxing sensation into one's mind. It was a literally breath-taking view.

"It looks like our great almighty A.I. had a breakthrough or system upgrade after all this years of observing her own creators?" sarcastically uttered by the man while in a resting posture. Although he was relaxed, he was very observant and caught the slight movement in the eyes of the beautiful girl. Little did he know, that he ruined a picture- perfect moment.

"Yes, it's true that I have realized how emotions work in a logical way this past few years of observing humans in this virtual reality world, but humans don't move only in logic that's why emotions were still a big question for me up until now."

Then the man slowly looked away at Milda and he continued shaking his glass with a close eyes ang he said "Hmmmm" with an agreeing attitude without any changes in his facial expression. Then the room once again was dominated by a clinking sound of glass.

"Tristan." calmly said by Milda.

Without any movement, Tristan replied with simple "Hmmm?"

Milda also didn't move any inch and still faced the glass window.

"Tristan, I have a shocking message for you that i got directly from the alliance."

"...."

Tristan stayed silent and didn't say anything, but the glass that he was holding slipped a bit, it was clearly that he was affected to the words of Milda.

"I know and it was obvious by the way you segue the topic." but he just pretended like he already knew where's Milda is directing their conversation.

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR
