[Almiraj]

[Rank: B]

[Intelligence: Low]

[Details: A creature mentioned in the Medieval Arabic literature. It is said that it has the power to scare any kind of wild animal, and was given to King Iskandar after he defeated a dragon. It has no special abilities; however, caution is advised due to its increased strength.]

"Dammit, so higher-rank monsters can spawn from lower ranks? Get ready, all of you!" Charles shouted, and Henrietta moved with his order. She held the monster with her claws, preventing it from moving.

Meanwhile, Nora was almost frozen, she could only stare as the battle started.

"Hey, Nora, what are you doing? Help us!"

"Y-yes!" she responded and raised her wand. This time, heat started to gather on the tip of her wand, turning into projectiles similar to a knife. From afar, it looked like she had gathered fireflies around her, a beautiful contrast to the foliage she hid in.

As a magic circle appeared below her feet, she pointed her wand at the creature, sending the flaming knives onto it.

[Fireblade Storm]

Unaware of her attack, all the knives were embedded into the creature, one even went into its crimson eyes. A scent similar to grilled meat permeated the air from the wounds.

It roared in pain and yanked itself away from Henrietta, its focus now shifted towards Nora instead. Shocked, she almost dropped her wand as the massive rabbit-like creature jumped at her.

"You think I'll let you?" Dylan shouted as he dashed forward, prepared to meet the creature's bite with his blade. Meanwhile, Henrietta looked a bit peeved.

"Are you really running from a battle against me in favor of a weaker opponent? You're asking for death!"

The two of them attacked from different directions, Dylan meeting the creature head on while Henrietta chased it from behind.

"Calm down," Charles said to the trembling Nora, "If you can, continue your attacks, you won't be harmed. Henrietta, get its horns!"

Clang!

The almiraj bit down hard on Dylan's greatsword, making noises similar to metal colliding with another metal, while Henrietta jumped and landed hard onto the scruff of its neck,

Roar!

The creature screamed, causing a shockwave up towards the sky as Henrietta yanked its horn up with her claws. Cracking sounds echoed as the creature moved its head back and forth in an attempt to dislodge her. It kept on roaring, both in pain and anger, and Dylan used the chance to slash at the creature's leg, stopping it from jumping around for a while as it tried to switch targets.

"Nora, now!"

"O-okay!"

Nora gripped her wand and concentrated, gathering heat energy. This time, however, the flames coalesced into a sword one meter in length instead. From afar, it created the illusion of a sunlit blade.

[Fireblade Merge]

Shing!

Slash!

The flaming sword immediately shot forward like an arrow and stabbed the beast's neck. Blood spurted from the wound, followed by the familiar hiss and smoke from cooked meat. As the beast fell onto the ground and thrashed in pain, more blood squirted out from its wound, until finally, it stilled, no longer moving.

[Novice Beast Charm – 50 points]
