Sir Dilan van Pratje

The second floor of Kitten Lounge is really normal, with a hallway around 1.5 meter width, and 10 rooms facing each other. Each room itself is around 15m² with one window, 2 bed, a chest in front of each bed in exchange of wardrobe and a desk beside the door. Also since the girls doesn't want us to come inside their room, we goes to the boys room. I wonder what they hiding inside their rooms, since all they said was "it rude to go in maidens room."

Anyway Glen and Drat room is really tidy. I repeat it really tidy! How the heck a young adults like them got a really tidy room. Honestly I expecting a messy room, with equipment and other things laying around the ground. In any case they doesn't seems like those kind of man. Maybe it one of those saying that don't judge book by it cover? So as we goes inside, we can seat comfortably on the bed.

"Anyway since we already reach Houten and already securing budget also making my identity card. What is our plans next?" Yeah I ask them, since the plan to make identity card for me already achieved also my next agenda is only to buy other teaching equipments. Like chalk, books, pen, and ink.

"Hmm, l guess I'll give a resignation letter to the church." Answer Drat.

"While I wanted to meet Sir Dilan to have mock battle with him. Other then that, I think I also wanted to repair my equipment." Reply Glen.

"Now that you mention it, I also wanted some equipment." Yep, I feels like buying my own since all this time my equipment was leftover or spare equipment from Klein. So I stare at Klein as if a children asking their allowance.

"Then let's split the gold we earn from the Drake." Said Klein as he pull out the pouch. And give 4 of them to Glen and Drat, while the other 2 to me.

"Eh? Why did you give me 2 pouch?"

"Well we got 700 gold from the corpse. Since there is 6 of us, each got 100 gold, while the last one is a gift as a thanks. Don't you realize we were ranked up? If I am alone I would not be able to hunt that monster." Said Klein sincerely, and the other 2 nodding at his words.

"More reason for me to decline it. Aren't you my companion? You said before 'is not it normal to help each other?'. Also I got so many debt to you. So I definitely can't accept it." I reply to Klein as we doing staring contest. Then Drat giving us a good idea.

"Then how about this Charavgi, you used those money to buy a proper equipment for the school? Or maybe you build the school building in Vahl Village?"

"Ah, that's it! Just thinking it as our investment for the school. Since this is money we earn together." Said Glen vouching for Drat idea. If it like that I guess I can accepting it. But there a disturbing words...

"Did you said build our own school??" Honestly didn't making a blackboard already took 10 silver? Even if 1 gold equal as 100 silver, 100 gold can only be used for 1000 blackboard. Now blackboard around that big is around 1 million IDR isn't it means it 1 billion IDR? Well it plausible tho in my country to make it, but I seriously don't know how much 100 gold coin is worth.

"Hmmm you seems surprised? I guess you doesn't understand how much 100 gold coin worth?" Said Klein.

"Yes.." of course I answered him truthfully.

"Hmm now that you mention it, you remind me once again that you are from different world. Anyway in here, 1 meal is around 10-20 copper, you already got bread and jerky or you can by 5 meat skewers with 20 copper. If you go to restaurant it usually cost you 25-35 for meal with bread, stew and ale. While house around the south district price between 200 gold coin, it already a middle class." Explain Drat.

"Well simply saying if you made your own meals, I guess it can be used for 3 people meals for 30 years."

Okay? So was my calculations correct then? Hmm assuming that skewers in my country is around 20K and you got 10 pieces. Then if we take the maximum amount it mean 40 copper equal as 20K? Then 1 copper is around 500 IDR. Then nope... it wrong, but still that I thought now... We are bringing ridiculous amount of money right now.... 3.5 Billion IDR... But well it wasn't that much if I use USD, still tho I can't imagine living cost in the US. But if I compared it with IDR it really ridiculous amount...

"I see. I agreed then. Klein put it in your bag again. " I said as I am trembling, it 500M IDR... Now I even afraid to goes out with it.

"Oohh... Nice idea there Drat. I also agreed with this, still we should wait the ladies decision." Said Klein while caressing his chin.

"So I guess our plans for now is equipment for battle, teaching equipment, then meeting Sir Dilan? Ah also I think it much better if you didn't go to the church, but just send the letters via other things?" I give an advice to Drat.

"Via letter? Oh, that right she indeed said all believers sharing link, so if I goes there myself and they found out I am losing my blessings it will become problem. Sure things then." Said Drat agreeing. Then we continue to talk with our plan, and decided to back 2 days later. It alright since the plan to start the class was the next day. So I agreeing with it, what more I want to look around the city. With the commotion before, I can't see anything other than sea of people.

Afterwards they prepared all their belongings, which wasn't much. It only clothes, books, and spare equipment. Then Drat starting to write his resignation from being apprentice priest. When noon comes the girls come to the room.

"We're done packing." Said Liefa.

"Fufufu, so what are we gonna do now? Should we return back to Vahl?"

"Oh you guys done? We were talking about it before." Said Glen.

"We are arriving earlier then planned so we will staying here for 2 days. And return the day after tomorrow." Said Klein.

"Then we got free time?" Ask Rose.

"Yeah, also here your part." Glen give them the pouch.

"Eh? What part? We don't even do much in the raid!" Said Liefa rightfully.

"Ufufufu... I guess it a right decision to accept Sir Charavgi invitation before" while Rose immediately hugging the pouch, making Liefa speechless.

"Gahahaha, just accept it Liefa think it as advance payment for being teacher in Vahl Village." Said Klein while laughing, but Liefa keep frowning her brow.

"Yeah, think it as those. Aren't we a companion in those battle and also in teaching later on?" I said those to coax her, when she heard that she finally show her normal face.

"Thank you then..." And said thanks reluctantly.

"Alright then so what should we do now first?" I ask, well we already got a list. Equipments shopping, and visiting Sir Dilan. Hmmm...

"Let's visit Sir Dilan first, since it almost time for soldier to train. We can took reference on their training." Said Klein with grin. It that! That definitely the same grin as before in Vahl!

"Yosh let's go!!" And here the idiot Glen full of energy...

"Ehhh... No I won't come along." Said Liefa, good job there Liefa so do I. But her decline being shot down by Klein.

"Don't you need to clear your mess, also you can't declining too Charavgi." That's right... Sir Dilan is also grandfather of Liefa...

"No, no, I haven't prepared my heart to meet my grandfather-in-law." I blurted that out. Hearing it Liefa cheek flushing red.

"What?! Grandfather in law?!" Ask Glen.

"Fufufu.. since when?"

"Ohoho... So you stole the princess heart in the end?"

Said Rose and Drat with annoying face and laugh. While Glen get more confused by them.

"What princess? What are you guys talking about."

"It Liefa idiot, don't you get it? I don't know how could I fell for this idiot sometimes...." Said Rose

"Ehhh?? Liefa is the direct decendant of Pratje house?! Since when? And when did they got in relationship??"

"Hahahaha... Glen is lost case already. There is no cure for his denseness for this kind of thing."

They become really noisy while Liefa already look like boiled crab with her red face.

"Anyway prepared or not, we should meet him now. Faster your mess cleared much easier is it for me. Do understand that Sir Dilan is my benefactor before." Said Klein, hey it unfair... I can't declining it if you said like that, after all for me Klein is my benefactor. How could I not meet my benefactor, benefactor?! So I agreeing reluctantly. With expectations to see a spectacle all Rose and Drat coming along with us.

Houten city, is a trading city of Pratje territory. With south part of Houten is middle class business district also where all guild building arranged. Like school, adventurer guild, merchant guild, and church was on the south. While west part where we goes through before is the low class business district. Most business in here is personal shop, or a street vendor. While the north part is a high class business district with many wealthy merchant and blacksmith which got a huge shop or even branch shop. Then the last one was military district in the east part of the city. Basically all military building, and personnel housing was at that place. So right now we were walking to the east part of the city. Houten itself was arranged with 4 main street according to compass direction. With 2 public gates on the west, and south. And military gate on east. All the building in Houten made of stone, or wood, with architecture from medieval age. Yep I can't stop looking at it! It gorgeous... Or maybe I am weird, but seriously it made me feel this world is fantasy like. Then after 20-30 minutes walking, we arrive at the training ground which on the south east of the city. There hundreds of soldier running around the ground when we arrive since it already the 4th bell which mean it around 3 p.m.

Since we didn't wanted to disturb them while running, we were waiting on the side. The training ground it self only got an open field with tens dummy linings up on the center. Then after they done running around the field, the commander which I am sure who is it, looking at our direction making Liefa flustered. Yeah it an old man around 50 years old, with tidy blue haircut. Stern looking face and a stout body figure. His height around 180 cm. When he look at Liefa and Klein he suddenly dashing... Danyum this old man really fast, even faster then Klein before. In blink of eyes he already standing in front of us with his stern face. While Glen trembling seeing his figure because of different reason then Liefa. He keep staring at us. This heavy atmosphere is really hard, then Klein finally open his mouth.

"Sir Dilan." And bow his head to him. The man keep staring at us.

"G-grandfather.." when Liefa show her greeting he finally move... It a tackle... No it a hug with a doting face...

"Liefaaaaa my cute granddaughter" and then he spinning her in his hug.

"Grandpa miss you so much."

"...."

"...."

All people speechless when seeing his flowery face, even the soldier gaping their mouth.

"Grandfather... Peo-people staring..." Liefa said with embarrassed face but the old man didn't even care and keep swinging her around.

"Let them stare as they want." Yeah he even said that, then after awhile he finally put Liefa down as Liefa said "I am getting dizzy". He then coughing himself and back to his stern face.

This... This definitely a doting grandparents! Why do I get a feeling he will say "if you want my granddaughter you need to beat me!" If he know I am in relationship with Liefa. He then looking at Klein.

"Long time no see lad, I heard you were quit from being adventurer and become a hunter in Vahl."

"Yes, Sir Dilan. I am a Hunter now."

"Ho, but somehow you giving a stronger aura then before. Let cut the small talk. What are you doing here?"

"This one is an adventurer that I save in Vahl Mountain, and when we decide to goes here to buy supplies for the village, he said he wants to meet you."

"It my pleasure to be able to meet you Sir Dilan, my name–"

"So you're that brat which took my cute granddaughter and coax her to be adventurer!" He emitting murderous intent... Danyum.... He seriously those kind of grandparent....

"Wha... No sir... It.."

"Don't talk back to me! Richard go spar with him!" He pick up Glen as saying those and throw him to the field.

"Yes Sir!" Then a man with blazing red hair come to the front bringing two wooden sword then throw it to Glen. Confusingly Glen took up the sword.

"Now begin!" He immediately shout that as he saw Glen stand up with the wooden sword. I'll cheer for you Glen.

What is going on... I suddenly being thrown to the center of the field by Sir Dilan, and without I realized I already took the sword that someone throwing to me. No, from the start I am never coaxing Liefa.

"Now begin!" Eee? Beginning what? I still don't understand what happening but the guy who throw the sword to me, suddenly dashing to my direction.

Eh? Are we fighting? He is fast, he cut 10 m of our distance in a second, and swinging his sword with upper slash from my left side. Still being confused I am dodging him by side stepping like how Sir Klein doing it before. Successfully dodging his slash, I send a stab to his belly, which he dodging by twisting his body around. Then before I can continue my attack he already tooking a distance. Uhhh... He fast, faster then me before at least. But after the fight with Earth Dragon, I can feel my power increasing rapidly. What more the Goddess of Life giving me blessings, if I compared my old self with me right now. I am sure I can win against 10 of my old self, since my understanding on swordsmanship also increasing from before. I can even understand Sir Klein movement now that I can't get before. Sir Klein's swordsmanship basic is using the shortest path to deal more attack, then power.

While this guy is more balanced type, his swing movement aren't too big but also made considerable amount of power. Still his speed wasn't much for me right now. I can dodge his attack either way, or even parry his sword. I really thought that I am lucky to meet Sir Charavgi and Sir Klein. They both are amazing people. Sir Charavgi is in different level tho, since he is more like a legendary figure from myth. Still he doesn't understand how this world work and act like a kids sometime. Even when we walk here he keep pointing and gazing at a normal building. Anyway maybe I should end this? I already understand the guy attack pattern, as he keep doing the same things. I wanted to see my status now, since if it the me from before I already get beaten up. How much stronger have I become after that encounter? Yep, let's ask Sir Charavgi next time, since he got another legendary skill identification.

The guy finally got emotional since I kept dodging him and counter attack him with slower speed then my dodge. Sorry, it wasn't because I am looking down on you or playing against you. But I don't understand my own power right now.

"I am sorry about this." As I said that, I completely dodging him then struck his back neck. Then he fainted at once... I hope I didn't hurt him too much, since I can't control my power completely yet.

The match is really one sided, with Glen keep dodging his enemy attack. From his face I can see that he is conflicted when countering his enemy. I somehow got a feeling that he can ended the spar at once. I should probably ask him later, but I am sure he was levelled up considerably since the last time. Also Rivari blessings must be amazing. Then he suddenly mumbling something before struck his enemy neck. Yeah the match decided easily without any struggle. Liefa grandfather look surprised when he saw the fight. Well as a military personnel he must know that Glen was a C Ranker, then I am sure that the enemies he chose from Glen was around C Ranker power. But he never expecting the match to be so one sided. He then smiling brightly and laughing as he walking to Glen side.

"Hahahaha, as expected from someone that my granddaughter fall in love with. You can even fight against Richard whose almost reaching Rank B adventurer." He said those as he patting Glen shoulder, making Glen jaw dropped then he stare at me and Liefa.

"No, no, no Sir Dilan, I am not the one who got relationship with Liefa." He shaking his head as he said it.

"What do you mean lad? Did you mean my granddaughter only chasing you one sidedly." His face changing once again, now it become furious.

"No, no, no it wasn't like that... It Sir Charavgi that in relationship with Liefa." He replied at once and pointing me out while trembling. Woah I can feel the bloodlust, even right now a notification ringing in my head. Liefa grandfather then shifting his gaze to me like a beast. It my turn now eh?!

"So you're the one!! You thieving bastard, you even act this wasn't your problem!! I'll annihilated you!!"

Danyum... From the start you never ask a single thing about it, and Klein stop laughing. You two too! When he walking to me, Liefa suddenly standing in front of me.

"Gra-grandpa! It wasn't Charavgi fault that I am running away from home and become adventurer!" She tried to defending me, but it only pouring oil to the fire.

"You even defending him now?! Move Liefa, I am talking to the lad! Is hiding behind your girl is your trait?!" Errr... From the start it wasn't me that hiding behind Liefa... Danyummm this old man... Seriously....

"Liefa step aside."

"I don't care what is your name, now fight me!" He immediately dashing at me, as the other stepping away from us, even the soldier shocked.

... At least give me a wooden sword... He is fast, I am doing tiger roll at once to the field and the ground where I am standing before is gouged up by his downward swing. Danyummm... I keep rolling, and sending glance at Glen which then throwing the sword to my destination.

"Roll lad roll!!" He keep swinging downward along my rolling. Then when I take the wooden sword, I change to jump sideway and standing on the ground. He then doing a sweep to my feets, which I am dodging by jumping since his sweep really fast. As my body still in the air he link his attack with a stab, which I am parrying with upper swing. With the momentum I take a distance away from him while he staggering because our wooden sword clashing. Scary... And our wooden sword was broken from that. But it wasn't stopping him, he coming to me with his bare hand filled with mana.... Danyum... I put my guard up and accepting his punch which make me pushed backwards by 3m at least... Heavy... If I didn't put mana on my arms too I think his punch will broke my guard. Looking at me which didn't fall or hurting he suddenly laughing....

"Hahahaha, I amazing lad, oi give us sword"

"Yes sir!" The soldier throwing two real sword at once to us.

"Now time for second round!" He sheathing the sword while it still in the air and turn around to me with a dash... Danyummm... Why I keep meeting a muscle head in this world... Well Selene ain't one tho, but at that time I was the one who suddenly attacking her...

With his sword he doing a sweeping motion while still 5 meter away from me... This darn old man!! It a mana slash! I pouring mana in my feet at once and do Mana Stomp to block it with shock wave and staggering him. Well the shock wave made the soldier fall down too, while the old man guarding himself like how Klein did it before. Can't you just fall down from it! I used 20K mana for it, seems like the shockwave power decreasing the further it goes. That... I can see he used many kind of support magic on his body, one is... Acceleration! He disappear from my sight at once... Which I am using sonar and spotting him 10 m away from my spot on my 1100. With my reaction speed that also crazy, I parry his thrust with circling movement trying to take away his sword. Which he responding by pulling it back and sending a palm strike to my heart. I am dodging it by side stepping to his right, continue with a round house kick. He dodging it by falling down and do sweeping kick to my feet, so I stab the ground with my sword then lifting my body and doing axe kick to him. He responding by dashing under me, making him standing behind me. While he gonna slash me from behind a shout was heard.

"Stop it you two!!" Followed by a water ball on our blind side. That we can dodged, but didn't do those. Since it was Liefa warning... Wet by a water ball, we both looking at her.

"What do you guys thinking fighting each other with a real sword?!" She coming at us with furious look... Whoa it my first time seeing her angry like this... She is scary... But cute.. still scary tho...

"I am sorry dear." The old man prostrating at once. While Liefa staring at me...

"Uuuhh... I am sorry!" I bow down my head as I said those.

"Even tho both of you holding yourself it dangerous! What if those crazy attack of yours hitting your opponent! And Grandpa do mind your standing as General of Regaia Kingdom. For you Charavgi, what should I do if grandpa wounding you and also do you realize what will happen if you wounding my grandpa?! Outside of those look at your surrounding! Do you realize what happened to the soldier when both of you suddenly launching those kind of mana attack!" Hearing her scolding, we both looking around at the soldier that scattering on the ground. There also some crater on the field, yeah we made a mess.

""We're sorry... We will reflecting our actions"" so we both apologized once again.

"Mou!! I don't wanted to see you guys like this again! I love both of you, so please stop this thing and let's just talk about it." With those words she started to cry.

"Grandpa sorry dear, please don't cry." Said the old man as he rushing to her.

"I am sorry Liefa, I promise I'll never fight again with grandfather." I said those while panicking. She then having a face that look like asking me if it the truth. So I give her thumbs up.

"Who's your grandfather! You haven't get my agreement yet!" The old man staring a dagger at me.

"Grandpa!"

"Yes, yes... Grandpa won't fight again this lad again." As he walk to me with a forceful smile and put his arm on my shoulder. "This isn't over lad!" While whispering those, so I am the only one can hear it. But somehow his expression when looking at me wasn't that bad anymore. His words it much more like an invitation to spar once again. Sigh... If it a normal spar maybe I'll agreeing to strengthen our bond as grandson-in-law and grandfather-in-law. When we walking to the side once again, I can hear conversation going.

"Gahahaha, so Glen do you still want to mock with him?"

"Yes... Sir Dilan is really strong tho, I can't even following their movement before. But I wanted to try to have a mock battle with him, so do Sir Charavgi."

"Gahahaha, you should line up then since I'll be the one whose fighting him first later on!"

"Oh, Sir Klein against Sir Charavgi! It will be another eyes opener again like today"

Yep it conversation between a muscle head... While Drat and Rose is laughing when they seen me. Can't you stop those maniac at least? Then the old man walk to them or Glen.

"I am sorry lad for my misunderstanding." Then he bowing his head to Glen.

"No, no, it also my fault for not explaining it clearly Sir Dilan. Also I earn so much experience from watching two master fighting."

"Is that so, seems like the future of Regulus territory will be bright. Tell Viscount Regulus my greetings when you goes home"

"Sir Dilan, know my father?"

"Of course I know him, he was my officer before when skirmish of Delve happen. At that time he is a platoon commander."

"Ahhh, so my father was a commander on that skirmish."

They exchange few words before the old man back to Liefa side. Hmmm, skirmish is it? I wondering what kind of skirmish, isn't all the kingdom in peace right now?

"Well since I still need to train this guys, you guys should wait for me or you can join their training."

Hearing his words somehow the muscle head of our party got fired up. While the soldier was trembling on their feet. Of course me, Liefa, Drat and Rose didn't join them and only watching from the side. While Klein torturing them in the name of sparring. Oh the gate guards captain from before also here. It seems all the soldier here was an elite soldier after all. While we waiting them, I am asking about the skirmish.

Like how the other days, today at the 4th bell I also go to the training ground in the military district. Today is the day that General Dilan will be training us which already reaching captain. When I leaving the gate, I completely forgotten about that black star in the morning, and here I meet them once again. Why are they here?! That was my first thought as I am done running around the field. What unexpected is General Dilan immediately run to them, then suddenly hug one of the lady from Zilver Ondiep. While calling her granddaughter, that when I realized that lady is the only daughter of Pratje house, Liefa van Pratje. He keep swinging the lady around as he hug her, without caring our gaze. But as an elite of soldier of Houten we understand not to look after General words.

Then suddenly the party leader of Zilver Ondiep, being thrown to the center of training field. Then General told Richard the vice captain of South gate to fight him. What is going on here? The fight rolling one sidedly with the leader of Zilver Ondiep keep dodging him and counter attacking playfully. He being played throughly the match and at the end the leader of Zilver Ondiep said sorry and knock him out. Strong, that is all I can think when I see the match. He at least as strong as me, whose already used being trashed around by Sir Klein. What make wondering is Zilver Ondiep should be Rank C party, but right now they're at least Rank B or even stronger. Since my strength right now almost at the peak of Rank B. How could someone like them only Rank C Adventurer? It doesn't make sense, and when I thought it was over the General suddenly got furious. Then attacking Sir Charavgi...

What happened now?! Sir Charavgi that completely caught off guard keep rolling to dodge General attack. Then he come to Zilver Ondiep leader, which then giving him his training sword. Beautifully he dodging the General sweep motion by jumping, but it a dead end when I thought he gonna get stabbed by General sword he parrying it as fast as General attack. The their Sword broken up because of the momentum. Then suddenly General figure disappearing when I found him once again Sir Charavgi already being pushed back by his punch. I can't followed their movement. They move really fast, that last punch I can't followed them. I didn't even see General movement from this far but Sir Charavgi can even block it. How did you do that?

What more surprising General asking for real swords, then they continue their fight. General suddenly using mana slash, one of the skill that Great Swordsman job or higher can used. What shock me even more was how Sir Charavgi block it, he suddenly make a shockwave that make a crater with his stomp. Still General dashing at him at once after the shockwave passed him... No he disappear. Afterwards I can't followed their movement, all I can see is a shadow of figure. Until a water ball hit the two of them, it was lady Liefa. It seriously a scary fight, if a normal soldier fighting against them. Without they realize what going on, I am sure their heads already on the ground. Then the two of them got a scolding from lady Liefa, making them like a puppy...

In the end lady Liefa is strongest. That what I am thinking, I am sure many other also thinking along those lines. Since these two people completely obedient while listening lady Liefa. Yeah, we should inform the other soldiers to not spreading any bad rumors about lady Liefa. If one of those rumors about she can't used sword, or she is weak, dissatisfied her, I am sure the entire city will be flipped over just to found out which bastard tarnishing lady Liefa name. While I am thinking about that I just realized the end of the fight was the beginning of our hell...

With General words, 2 people joining our training, it is Zilver Ondiep leader and the devil. No!! I don't wanted to have mock battle with that guy anymore. All of us frustrated as we learned they gonna joining our train. At the end of the day no one able to stand on their own feet anymore. Devil! I am sure it wasn't demon that incarnation of devil, but it is this guy! Afterwards all the personnel who join the training can only be dragged to the healing tent. Someone even trembling all night keep shouting "stop, I give up.. I give up..."
