52 Chapter 52

(POV Protagonist. Time: After the restoration and creation of the "Well of Eternity". Location: Dream)

I left everyone again and decided that I would sleep for a while while the Guardians created their constructs, which would be the cause of the creation of some important races in the history of Azeroth. Some of the races would be the Terrans, who would later be known as Dwarves, and the Vrykul who would be known as "Humans", among many others.

I didn't want to intrude on this part of the story, at least any more than I already have. For some time now I can't see the future very well, the light doesn't show me anything concrete and the void gives too much information that seems almost useless to me, so I decided to get away from everyone for a while and enjoy observing the process of life. How trees and plants grow and populate the world.

Ever since that time I dreamed of a Star Wars-style war I have imagined what the continuation of that dream would be like, and luckily when I went back to sleep, I continued more or less where I was.

The time inside my dreams was a bit faster than when I was awake, so I was battling like a "Jedi" for a few years. Since I also didn't have much to do while the world was shrouded in darkness, I took advantage of some days to sleep for a while. I entertained myself by interacting with the beings in my dream, although I knew it was only a dream, a very lucid one...

I spent years inside, as I razed enemies to the ground with my sword art in the best Jedi style I remembered from the movies. It was kind of funny to see how some enemy soldiers and allies seemed to disarm as if it was Lego Star Wars and others blinked red every time they were hit by a laser shot. The most amazing thing was to see how sometimes hearts would drop from their deaths, and I took advantage of them a lot because at some point in my dream I realized that I had 5 hearts as a life bar... it was very weird.

As I defeated my enemies on the front, several times I had to destroy structures, almost like a mission given to me by the commanders on my side of the war. Everything at times was unreal, including the times I had to run as an explosion chased me down a long but narrow corridor.

This happened for a few years in the dream and just a few months outside. I still remembered what the "God" who brought me to this world had told me, so I continued marching and destroying enemies as I headed in that direction.

At some point, I encountered Darth Vader and it was the most unreal scene of my dreams. It looked like Darth Vader was defending Padme Amidala. Padme was pregnant, so Darth Vader in his trademark black suit and helmet was fighting what appeared to be insectoid creatures with lasers that looked like something out of the Rick and Morty series...

I decided to approach Darth Vader and help him, because why not... in fact, once I got close enough they started shooting at me too, apparently for no reason, although I think I heard something like, "just shoot in that direction and don't ask so many questions, surely we'll hit something in the attempt". They seemed a bit silly, as many shots missed. Still, the amount of gunfire in the narrow corridor he was in still made a few laser bullets almost hit him.

As soon as I was close, I spoke to him.

"Hey, need some help?" (MC)

Darth Vader did not respond, but Padme turned her gaze to me and said.

"I would greatly appreciate help at this time, please" (Padme).

After saving them or doing my best attempt at throwing a grenade towards all the enemies, they seemed to have flown away before it exploded, though many simply turned into a sort of puddle of fluids and insect guts with their body parts scattered about... very unnecessarily bizarre.

When they were safe and Darth Vader removed his helmet, his appearance stunned me. His face was that of Muzaka de Noblesse... Although this Padme looked more beautiful too, I don't know by how much.

I didn't talk much with the couple and continued my way. On the way, many strange things were happening. Now and then my surroundings seemed to change abruptly, almost as if I had passed through a portal or something. In fact, at one point I found myself in Doom hell, and I must say it was amazing to find the game's weapons in a way that was planned. It was fun but very difficult to eradicate the demons, especially when they weren't just 20 or 30 of them, but came in waves of hundreds, and as soon as I got rid of one horde, I didn't have long before I needed to keep moving or more would keep popping up.

While I admit it was difficult, the moment I was in the world of Doom was incredible. The feeling of hitting and smashing my enemies as soon as I was glowing blue or red was fantastic. Since I was carrying my bag on my back, I kept all the weapons I came across on the way, but it was entertaining to fight with a lightsaber, and thanks to all the goodness that exists that I didn't need to pick up some kind of ammo to use my saber, because in Doom everything needs some kind of energy or ammo to work... almost that hitting needs recharging...

Somewhere along the way, I found myself surrounded by darkness. Hundreds of thousands of years had already passed in the dream and I had experienced many strange things and occurrences, but now I found myself in a place that, if it wasn't for the fact that there was nothing there, it would look like something out of Silent Hill...

I had spent many years walking in this darkness, I had gotten used to my dreams starting where I ended up every time I woke up and that my mental age exceeded my physical age by far. Although this was all a dream, a very realistic one, in the end, the friendships I made here were relatively short-lived. In some cases, it was years of fighting together and in others seconds that felt like much longer.

After walking for so long in the dark, I didn't know what else to do, so at some point, I simply decided to stand still and wait for my dream to change. This didn't happen, though, and so a long time passed. The only light that existed was the one I produced. Now and then I would move forward for a while and then just stop.

I went on like this for a long time... until I finally found what "God" wanted me to look for, although it was not an object, it was a person.

(POV MC. Time: Thousands of years after The Fall of the Black Empire. Location: ¿?)

I liked to fly to observe the new life forms that were constantly being born in the world. Now I knew they existed thanks to Freya, but also thanks to the same "Well of Eternity" from which previously arcane energies oozed chaotically. In short, the life of these creatures called "Wild Gods" was so powerful thanks to the arcane energies and the power of Freya's life.

When I first saw one of these "Wild Gods" I decided to study it a bit. It was a dark brown lone wolf, it looked young. So I observed his behavior from afar. He was quite an intelligent wolf, and he could even talk, although I consider this is possible because he is a "Wild God" or also known as "Loa" by the future Trolls.

When I got bored of watching him, I decided to study his anatomy and power, so when he was sleeping, I sneaked into his den and in one bite I devoured him completely. How I did it reminded me a bit of the story of "Little Red Riding Hood", when the wolf devours the grandmother of the little red riding hood. I was very amused that I ended up devouring the wolf in the same way the wolf did in that story, but well, that's life.

I studied his anatomy, but it seemed to me that he was just a powerful wolf... but I would not miss trying to have a body of "Flesh" free from the curse of the Dark Gods, so once I studied the source of his great power, which resided in his being and also partly to something else to which he was linked, I think to the emerald dream, I "vomited" him and left.

The poor wolf was left trembling in his cave, but I thanked him for his help before I left. I feel a little sorry for that wolf though, it probably caused him some trauma. At least he didn't come out dirty and full of saliva he was even cleaner than when I devoured him, so he should thank me for giving him a free bath.

That wolf was not the only "Loa" I momentarily devoured I devoured a few more, but I didn't eat them. I know these animals are under the care of Freya, who is always walking around and watching them. She has several powerful Loa with her, it's a pity that I can't study them... unless...

One day I met Freya. While we weren't exactly friends, she at least had a positive relationship with all the Guardians, or so I think.

"Freya, just who I was looking for, how are you?" (MC)

I appeared before her in one of my most adorable forms. From all the knowledge I had acquired from the Loa's I had studied and used the fantasy knowledge from my previous world, I took the form of an extremely adorable creature.

As soon as Freya saw me, I noticed her surprise. I also felt the gaze of many of the animals following her. Among them were the two large bears that followed her and a kind of black lion with feathers.

I quietly approached Freya, under the doubtful gaze of the animals there.

"Hehe, do you like my new look, Freya" (MC).

With that, Freya snapped out of her momentary surprise.

"Hi, what did you want from me?" (Freya)

Freya calmly asked.

"Well, first of all, I saw you and wanted to say hello, but besides that, I also came up with some other objectives. I came to ask permission from you and the... friends who follow you, as I wish to be able to learn about them" (MC).

I said with a smile. My size was about that of a medium-sized dog and the color of my fluffy fur was pure white. Those who know the Fate series would know that I look like Cath Palug.

Freya raised her eyebrow as soon as she heard me, and many of the Loa following her also looked at me strangely.

"Don't worry, it's nothing bad. Besides, if they refuse there won't be a problem. On the other hand, another of my goals is to learn more about the life you are creating, Freya. I wonder if you would allow me to accompany you on your journey?" (MC)

Freya just looked at me for a moment and then said calmly.

"I do not decide for them, so you will have to ask their opinion on what you wish to learn. I won't stop you from accompanying me either, you can do so if you wish, you are free to follow me." (Freya)

I jumped slightly and did a somersault, to which I then said with a smile.

"Nkyuu. Great, don't worry, I just want to know more." (MC)

-I knew that this adorable appearance is the ultimate weapon.

"By the way, I heard that a huge being attacked at night and devoured many of the creatures, then chased them away. They looked really scared, it was you wasn't it?" (Freya)

Freya asked seriously. I also felt the Loa following Freya become a little more alert to my presence.

"Well, as for that, I was just learning about them, but I didn't do them any harm. So don't worry Freya, it won't happen again" (MC).

I smiled with the most innocent and adorable face I could make.

Freya watched me for a while and then said.

"Don't do it anymore. If you are going to eat, then do it and don't torture your victims" (Freya).

"Understood" (MC)

I raised my little furry paw and placed it in a military salute. The look in my big colorful eyes and the expression on my little snout gave away how serious I was trying to appear, but the tenderness of my appearance only added an adorable charm to all my actions.

Freya nodded and then continued walking through the forest, to which I then followed her as I jumped around and amused myself. I was getting used to my new adorable little body.

"You're too serious Freya, I think you should relax a little. Nkyuu" (MC)

-Mmmm, should the "Nkyuu" be before or after every sentence, how can I be more adorable...luckily Freya will help me find out.

As I laughed and tried to joke with Freya, I was planning how to "convince" the Loa following Freya to let me study them.

-All one step at a time.

Author's Note: This chapter has a purpose because it's about time to introduce some characters. Don't be confused by the timelines which are not defined. The chapters related to the MC's dreams have their logic, so just wait for the culmination of these.

On the other hand, what do you think of the MC's adorable appearance? Someone mentioned Cath Palug and it seemed to me, indeed, that she was a very adorable-looking creature. If you have any tips or ideas that I could represent with other adorable creatures don't hesitate to tell me.

Later in the story, I will explain more about Loa and some events that happen in the WOW story. An interesting fact: It is not explained how much time passed from the fall of the black empire to the birth of the Troll empire, but it is not a short time. I think about 50,000 years would be a good amount of time to explain how nature develops quietly and how creatures evolve. I know that in part much of the evolution in Azeroth is mediated by magical energies, such as arcane magic, but leaving that aside, it does take a long time before the whole Troll empires and their subsequent fall. I don't plan to take too many chapters until we see the rise of these Troll empires, so don't worry, we'll soon get into the "state of civilization" of this world. XD. (Whoever has played Spore will understand what I mean. XD)
