24 Chapter 24

There were no words of encouragement, no speeches. There was no time to do so, for this battle began abruptly with the flooding of the millions of little "Aqir".

There was no doubt in my heart, nor in the hearts of the hundreds of elementals behind me. War is something the elementals know, for they have always been in a constant struggle among themselves. But today they were not fighting for their territory or for the hegemony of their element, today they were fighting for the world.

With so many insects crawling and crashing into me, I could understand why the elemental lords lost against the "Old Gods", well let's better call them "Dark Gods".

Their armies may not be the toughest, but they are the most insidious. The obscure swarming tactics to drown the enemy with numbers do prove useful, at least, against the smaller elementals. For my part the fire that runs through my entire being is the perfect repellent for these little nuisances.

Without hesitation I went deeper into the sea of chitinous bodies. I planned to use an attack I had devised from the fights against the elemental lords.

With my control over the wind I began to pull a large amount of "Aqir" towards me. The amount increased rapidly and within seconds a huge sphere of bodies was forming with me at its core. It didn't take me long to gather hundreds of thousands of "Aqir" and prevent them from moving away from the huge sphere that was expanding in size.

I kept doing this until I decided it was time to get things a little hotter. I increased my internal fire and guided it outward. With each "Aqir" my fire devoured it became stronger and more potent, consuming the large sphere of bodies I had formed and setting it on fire. I did all this while continuing to absorb more "Aqir".

At the end of my attack, millions of the small "Aqir" formed a charred sphere so large that it is likely to exceed 50 meters in all directions.

I had harnessed my fire to murder as many as possible and dilute a bit this huge ocean of annoyance.

I easily stepped out of the sphere of bodies as I stopped using the air to generate the vacuum that drew them to me. The sphere turned out to be so large partly because of my size, as it was a few meters less than the elemental lords, who, according to my own mental measurement, using my memories and mental world as a reference, must have been about 20 meters tall.

I am about 17 meters tall, more or less and not counting my tail. Only from my "feet" to the tallest horn I possess. With the tentacles I have in my hands measuring about 15 meters and those on my back about 20 meters. Of course, they are not visible at all times, as I take advantage of them for surprise attacks. I do it this way to keep some trump cards, because an unexpected attack can decide victory or defeat.

Anyway. My current body is only a prototype, since I have not reached the elemental lattice I am looking for certain areas. Therefore, this body has no wings, only 8 tentacles on my back. I have a tail of approximately 18 meters and of course, my appearance is that of a bipedal dragon.

My taste and maybe obsession for the shape of these powerful and incredible fantasy creatures has led me to transform my body into what it currently is... Hahaha saying this reminds me of those transformation programs where people would get completely tattooed, they would even tattoo their eyes, change their teeth or put things under their skin to make it look like they had horns and stuff like that... I practically do the same, only better and more "natural" hahaha.

Anyway. For this prototype I used all the knowledge I had about the materials given to me by the elemental lords themselves for their equipment and the power of my blessings to create the materials. That's right, I knew how to create the materials thanks to Therazane's blessing and I only needed to imbue and spin the elements in the same way they were in the minerals they gave me in order to create an identical material. In short, I did a kind of alchemy and created, of course with the necessary materials, a similar "synthetic" mineral...

If I explain it, it would be like knowing "how steel is composed" and using my body as a forge and cauldron I use the earth with a lot of iron ore to create it. Of course the actual process is a bit more complicated, as it involves a lot of experimentation time and power. Although the latter was not a problem, since all the energy went through my body and I spent practically nothing.

So my bipedal dragon appearance was dark brown with black and red/gold lines between my scales. I made it in a way that the fire could easily release from my body and at the same time release the air to fuel it, causing an elemental synergy that enhanced it.

My scales were hard and resistant to high temperatures. They were an "alloy" between the materials of Therazane's "Toga" and Ragnaros' "Sulfuras". There were also some elemental "veins" of water all over my body, but they were not visible and I used them mainly to keep certain areas at an ideal temperature. But even with all this work at the microscopic and macroscopic level, I was not able to create what I was looking for. I needed more experiments to achieve it, but undoubtedly this body is the most powerful thing I have created.

So strong is my power, that if I were to scale it in statistics from 1 to 10. Where 1 is a newborn elemental and 10 is one of the elemental lords, then my total power would be a 6 almost 7 because of some other things that are tied to the being itself.

My individual stats would be: Toughness 7, Strength 7, Agility 5, Vitality or Regeneration 8, Intelligence 10 (I'm very smart and I don't forget anything, why else would it be? hehehe), Dexterity 6-10, Elemental Power 7 (just for synergies), Elemental Synchro? I'm not sure yet, Wisdom ¿? I don't think it's really high, Potential 10.

The elemental lords had superior statistics in a specific point that the rest could not compare.

Therazane: Toughness 10, Strength 10, Agility 4, Vitality or Regeneration 10, Intelligence 9, Dexterity in this case I would call it "Elemental Power" as she can create many things just by wanting it and using her energy. "Elemental Power 10, Elemental Synchronization 10, Potential 9.

Ragnaros: Toughness 8, Strength 10, Agility 6, Vitality or Regeneration 10, Intelligence 8, Elemental Power 10, Elemental Synchronization 10, Potential 10.

Neptulon: Toughness 8- ? Strength 8-10, Agility 8-10, Vitality or Regeneration -10, Intelligence 9, Elemental Power 10, Elemental Synchronization 10, Potential 8.

Neptulon varies, because if he is on land or in the water his stats go down or up.

Al'Akir: Toughness 7, Strength 7, Agility 10, Vitality or Regeneration 10, Intelligence 10, Elemental Power 10. Elemental Synchronization 10.

The elemental lords did not have dexterity, because they did not need it beyond the control of their elements. And I for my part used my body to perform whatever I needed, because my body was my best tool, rather than my hands, which only reached a 6. As for all these statistics are based on what I believe, I have observed them and experienced in combat. They are also arranged from strongest to least strong. This is because of my belief that Therazane can actually beat Ragnaros despite having less potential in his powers.

I think Ragnaros could be as powerful as a sun if he really tried... But this goes to another stat I didn't add, and that's "Inventiveness" with 3 points for all elemental lords. They have a little, but not really anything important... Possibly due to lack of knowledge or their lack of imagination. How sad their long existence.

For me, living without imagining would be the worst thing there could be. I am deeply grateful to be born as I am... But anyway, I got off topic. The point of all this is to roughly measure my overall level and compare it to the most powerful.

With a kick I sent a big "Aqir" flying, which collided with 3 others and exploded in a mixture of viscera and fluids of different colors...

My strength and toughness were high, but could be even higher if I managed to complete my body. Still, for the current body it is very good. Agility is low because of weight and body shape, but still higher than Therazane's and about the same as Ragnaros. The most agile is obviously Al'Akir followed by Neptulon. I also have a stat I call Versatility with 8 points. Well I think my tentacles and synergistic attack types make up for my low agility.

* CRAAAAAAAAACK CRAAAAAACK CRAAAAAAACK CRAAAAAAACK*.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

After observing once again the destruction caused by Therazane and Ragnaros, I could see how Al'Akir split the bodies of the "Aqir" that approached him and prevented many from flying by crushing them to the ground. Neptulon on the other hand launched blasts of icy water that froze or slowed down the "Aqir".

As for the smaller elementals, I saw some dying at the hands of large flying swarms of "Aqir", torn apart by thousands of jaws or destroyed by the larger "Aqir".

Since I knew that our numbers were not as many as the enemy's I decided to shout an idea to the elemental lords.

"LORD OF FIRE, LORD OF AIR, GATHER THE SMALLER ELEMENTALS AND COMBINE THEM, WE WILL LOSE MANY IF THEY CONTINUE TO DIE!"

I just watched briefly as they seemed to think for a moment and then used their powers to combine the elementals and at the same time form huge tornadoes of fire.

I also decided that I could give Therazane and Neptulon the idea. But as soon as I was about to shout, they had both started to act up and put their powers and elementals together.

Huge stone walls were formed, and out of nowhere the water began to rise, forcing the "Aqir" who could not fly, to crash into the stones with force and destroying their bodies.

... I guess my idea did work. The intelligence is there, what they lack is ideas... I'll do something else and see what else can happen.

With my power over air and water I started a storm. I used part of the elements that Al'Akir and Neptulon had summoned to make it even more powerful and divided part of my perception to control it in such a way, that it worked with the huge fire tornadoes that were in part of the field, and the floods in part of the other. It didn't take much effort to control both, as my mind remembered and divided my attention at times, thus maintaining balance.

When it began to rain, lightning struck and impacted multiple enemies in a chain. The rain was cold, wetting the wings of the "Aqir" and gradually freezing them, slowing their speed and forcing them to fall to earth, fire tornadoes or the waters of Neptulon.

With that done I focused on the next enemy I would face. A huge "N'raqi", with a chitinous carapace that was blacker than night and seemed to absorb light.

His dark power attacked me as I approached, but the attempt on his part to control my mind did not work. The rain wasn't hurting him much and he seemed to be totally fine. So the first thing I did was to throw a stream of ice water at him, which would freeze on contact.

The elemental blow hit his body squarely, but the ice only seemed to slow him down a bit. Since I knew that I was possibly facing a powerful enemy, I decided to go all out.

I increased the power of my fire and prepared my fist. When I threw the blow, it was intercepted by his.

*BOOOM*

The force of the impact rang out. We were both fine.

I knew this fight would be hard, I simply did what we would all do in this situation. Speaking in their obscure language, which I learned thanks to the little "N'raqi" I devoured, I said.

"YOU'LL MAKE A GREAT MEAL! "

My big predatory smile revealed the sharp teeth specialized in breaking shells that I devised thanks to my fanaticism for the animal world. As a child, I used to watch a lot of "Animal Planet" and investigate. I found the beautiful sharks and their big "smiles" with teeth so powerful that not even sea turtles could save themselves.

I guess he smiled back at me, for his eyes more visible than the rest of "N'raqi" glowed darkly and his mood was clearly ecstatic.

With his dark language he said to me.

"YOU TOO!"
