Ch 7 Training and A Mysterious fellow?

Gold went around killing more of those rabbits. After 2 hours he killed more than 10 rabbits. He leveled up two more times and killing rabbits was even easier. He was lvl 4 now and all his stats were now at 14 and had 10 stat points left.(He used 3 stat points and saved the rest)

He kept walking in the woods and found a new monster. He crouched and checked the status.

Goblin

Goblins are short little green monsters. They live in tribes and move in small groups. Seeing one alone means either their squad has been wiped or it had been abandoned. It could aslo be a trap set up by a Rank B Goblin chieftain."

"I've been running around there shouldn't be any other goblins. Definitely would have been caught by now and besides Isabella said nothing to strong. A rank B monster would instant kill me."

Gold decided to go for the kill and slowly crept towards the back of the injured goblin. Slowly but surely he got closer and closer. He swung gis katana replicating the strategy he used with the first rabit unfortunately for him he was off and hit the goblins shoulder.

Goblin

Status: Injured, now is the best time to attack.

Gold ran out the goblin and swung his katana at the goblin. This time unfortunately for Gold the goblin used his dagger to parry the attack. The goblin then kicked Gold a few feet back.

He saw that the status window said that he had taken light damage but no hp value was given.

"Why don't I get an Hp bar, or even an mp bar? I've noticed that since I arrived only after seeing these monsters have I seen hp values."

A system prompt showed up and told him that only enemy hp values would be shown. An enemy would be decided by the system. Usually if there is killing intent that is when an enemy is decided upon.

"What the hell?! Am I playing hardcore mode or some shit?!"

The goblin charged at him with a stabbing gesture. Gold barely had time to side step out of the way. He swung his katana down with all his might and hit the goblin in the back.

Status:

Heavily injured, beware the monster is now desperate and does not want to die.

Gold was on guard, he knew that any creature at it's last breath is when it's the most dangerous. He needed to be careful of a suicide attack. Even if he did not die from the attack it would surely leave a scar on his perfect body.

The goblin went for another charge Gold went for another side step when suddenly the goblin stoped and followed his movements. It was a feint! It stabbed at Gold, fortunately for Gold due to it's injuries the attack was inaccurate and hit his arm. He had a cut on his arm that was oozing blood. It wasn't a bad injury however.

"How dare you hurt the body of a perfect being! You shall pay with your life!"

Gold angrily swung with all his might and hit the goblin on the head. The goblin instantly died and fell to the floor. Gold wiped the sweat of the floor and on his butt.

"Finally you died stupid goblin, even darinf to hurt me before your demise."

Gold sat and boosted his own ego for a few more minutes and finally check the reward of the battle. He had level up once again and recieved 5 more stat points. He was also notified that his Katana mastery went up by 1 level, it was now level 1.

"Hm, Ok I get it. So from what I get from here, Isabella is known as a legendary Assassin and katana user. Does that mean her Art of Assassination mastery and Katana proficiency is above 90?"

A small status window popped up and showed the mastery level of Isabella's katana and assassination arts.

Katana Art: 93

Another window popped up and explained that some arts are a combination of other arts and are called major arts, while weapon arts would be a minor art.

Assassination would be a combination of things like, sneaking, silent killing, and more making it a major art.

While a katana is just a singular weapon is a lesser art. However if you combined a few weapons together it would be Art of a Weapon Specialist, which would then be a major art because it is a collection of minor arts. However just because something is of a singular entity it does not make it a minor art. Some singular arts are considered major arts because of their massive power. An example would be the art of extreme luck.

Gold took all the information in and digested it slowy.

"Ok I get it now, I know the difference between major and minor arts. Now let's move on to the other stuff."

Gold looked at his stat points and wondered if he should use any stat points. In the end he decided to use 5 points so all his stats would reach 20 and he officially had the strength of a E rank. 16 was the cut off of barely being E rank.

"With all my stats I should have the strength of around the middle level of E rank. Although my experience in fighting is nowhere near theirs. Only my bodily attributes match with theirs. Now lets move on. I need some more exp and proficiency points."

Gold kept walking and killed a few more rabbits before coming across a small open area in forest.

"I'll take a little break here, It's almost time for Isabella to pick me up I think. There's no watches at Isabella's house so I couldn't take any. It's quite amazing the fact they couldn't develop watches with mechanical technology but could with magical tech."

Gold was marveling over the technology of this world when he saw something move in the corner of his eye.

"What was that!?!"

He stood up and held his katana, he had his guard up. He knew manny things in this forest could kill him without having to sneak around. If they sneak up on him he's more than dead.

He slowly looked around him listening for any movements when suddenly something extremely quick came and cut is leg. He fell to the floor kneeling on the cut leg.

"Ow, What the hell was that?!"

He turned around and saw the attackers appearnce and was shocked by what he saw.

A muted horned rabit that learned to enjoy the taste of flesh. Although having a weak body due to the mutation shown in its hp,(low for its level) it makes up for it with its exceptional speed which can easilt match up with any non speed focused Rank B.

"What, why, why are you here? I don't want to die today! I know I killed a few of your vegan brothers, but you probably would have killed them too."

The rabbit stood there and stared at him for a few moments while he was getting off the floor.

"See, I know you'd get me. Now can you leave me alo-"

The rabbit zoomed by and cut his other leg. Gold fell from the cut and again ended up in the kneeling position.

"Son of bitch. Why are bullying this goodlooking brother! I know you are jealous but you must not resort to violen- AGH!"

This time the rabit cut his harm. The rabbit was cutting at him slowly as if playing with before his death.

The rabbit was going to attack him again when suddenly a short boy with blue hair appeared and stabbed the rabbit with a knife.

"And, its dead. Howdy there looked like you could use some help!"

Gold looked at the short boy and stared at his blue eyes before asking him.

"Who are you and why are you here?"

Gold was suspicious of him because he knew this montain was a very dangerous and secretive place that was hard to find. It was only easy for him and Kurumi because of the spatial gate. He also knew that he and Kurumi along with Isabella, had enemies of their own.

"Oho, quite suspicious of me already I see. I promise I dont mean any harm.:

"You didn't answet my question"

Gold questioned him again know that this blue haired boy was trying to avoid the question.

"Sure, I'm Nagisa Shiota nice to meet you!"

Suspicious, be carful. He killed the rabbit that was toying with you in an instant, he could also kill you in an instant.

Gold looked at him and thought to himself "Hm Nagisa Shiota. Like the Mc from assassination classroom? He does like like a younger version of him. It does make sense since Kurumi is also younger than whenshe appearedin the anime."

Nagisa's blue eyes flashed and he squinted them and had a serious expression, then he returned back to his usual happy go lucky persona in the next instant. Although it happened for a split second Gold managed to pick that up.

"Look at the time I gotta go, maybe we'll see each other again sometime. Please keep this meeting a secret!"

"Wait!"

Gold tried to stop him by grabbing him put he disapeared in an instant as if he was never there.

In the next minute Isabella appeared in the open area where Gold was.

"Hey it's time to go, did anything happen today?"

Gold thought about telling here and decided not to. He knew that Nagisa may not be able to harm Isabella or Kurumi but he could definitely kill Gold as easily as stepping on an ant.

"Nothing, although I do feel a bit stronger."

"That's great!"

After they arrived at the shack Gold and Kurumi sat at the dinner table. Isabella was outside on a mountain cliff quite a distance away from the shack.

"I swear I felt the presence of something dangerous near Gold. But when I arrived it instantly vanished. Gold didn't say anything either, I'm also not getting any feed back from my search spell. Might have just been my imagination. I need to head back before they wonder where I am."

In another area in the forest it was completely silent as if the forest was dead. Nagisa smiled and chuckled.

"This could be a problem, she is quite a skilled person. Oh well."

He vanished into thing air and everything in the forest seemed to come back to life and the deathly silence was gone.
