Ch 5 Continent of Gaia

I have update the stats and biography page with the current known info about the important characters. I changed the way I do the bios and will not change the ones in previous chaps, but the bio page will be updated normally. Also put a little more on the info page.

Chapter 5

Gold and Kurumi entered the little shack and looked around. There wasn't anything special avout this shack. After entering the front door you would come across the living room which had ome of those Japanese tables in which you would need to sit on pillows to use. There was a tiny tree growing in the corner of the room but other than that it was pretty bare.

Over to the right was the kitchen, there was no door way or entry way to the kitchen, it was connected to the living but it wasn't a small room. There was a counter, kind of like a bar counter, made of wood which separated the cooking area from the dinning and living area.

The dinning are was simple and had a table and four chairs and had a vase of flowers in the middle. The rest of the room was empty, looking like a house for rent.

Then there was the hall way, it wasn't to long as the rest of the house only included a bathroom and 2 bed rooms.

"All right you two, welcome to my lovely home! I built it my self, no to shabby I must say. Make yourselves feel at home. You and Kurumi will be sharing the room on the right for now. Our training will start to tomorrow if you have any questions I will be in the kitchen cooking dinner."

Gold and Kurumi walked into the room and looked around. In the room there wasn't much. There was one bed in the corner and it had a night stand with a candle. There was wooden dresser on the other side of the bed room. The only other decoration was a rug on the wooden floor.

"There's only 1 bed. Guess that means I will sleep on the floor."

Gold grumbled and checked if the dresser had anything in it. And no to his suprise the were both empty. He saw Kurumi lay on the bed and he walked out to ask Isabella some questions.

He saw Isabella grabbing some ingredients out of the refrigerator. Gold sat down on a stoll in front of the bar separating the kitchen.

"Miss Isabella, can I ask you some questions right now?"

"Csll me master, amd right now is a better time than any. What do you need kid?"

Gold had some questions after reading her info. Like where the were currently at, the Kingdom of Avalon. He had no idea what any of that was.

"Can you tell me about the Geography of this world? About the Kingdom we live in now and how many there are?"

"Whoa, whoa kid slow down. Besides shouldn't you know this stuff its like basic geography. Shouldn'tyour sister have told you this stuff at least?"

Gold gave a wry smile and looked towards the hallway where Kurumi was in the room resting.

"Following my sister around, she didn't teach me anything really."

"Why did expect anything from that lunatic girl?"

She shook her head, she grabbed some of the vegetables and started chopping.

"Listen Kid, in this world there are 7 countries. All of them are on this continent we call Gaia. There are no other lands besides small islands near the coasts. The whole continent is surrounded by an ocean. If you go to far you will fall into the abyss. They abyss is the gateway between us and our neighbors the demons. However if you do not take a proper gateway in the abyss your body will be town to shreds.

Currently we live in atime of peace and are coexisting with the demons. A rare time period but the current demon lord is very different compared to thier ancestors. Now on Gaia there are 7 Kingdoms, each almost equal in power however there are two kingdoms thats stand above the other. Both have many disagreements and things have become tense, a war could possibly break out.

Those two countries are The Empire and The Kiingdom of Avalon. The Kingdom of Avalon is known as the kingdom of magic. Avalon is known for their strong magical abilities and magical technology. Avalon is a easy oing country and allows its civilians to live in peace. Avalon is lead by the benevolent Queen Demeter.

While the Empire is the total opposite. They are known to be one of the weakest in magic strength of all the countries. However their mechanical technology is so advanced it is on par with Avalon's magic. The Empire however is harsh place and its politics are based of military. As a military based country the strong are treated like nobles while the rest are left to starve and die. The Empire isbbn lead by the vicious Empress Victoria.

Besides those 2 there are other 5 countries which all have around the same strength.

There is the strength based Monster Federation ruled by their King Brutus the Strong

Also there is the sword worshiping nation, Sword Legion ruled by their Patriarch, Holy Knight Lancelot.

The next nation is the Medicine Valley, dog eat dog place. You can't trust anybody there. Family members will poison you for a few bronze coins. The Medicine valley is a nation of alchemists and poisom master, a great place for Assassins. The Medicine Valley is ruled by a council of elders who are mostly old men but there are some younger talented women and men.

The 4th nation is the Kingdom of Fiore, Fiore is known to be the 2nd best country at magic. It is a Kingdom based off magic , their technology however isnt up to par with Avalon's. Fiore has many guild's which hold their wizards and amges rather than a central guild. They are ruled by their King, Toma E. Fiore.

Finally there is the Mysterious Spirit faction. Not much is known about them. They isolate themselves form all other countries. They are ruled by the mysterious Matriarch, Phantom."

Gold sharpened his eyes hearing the name of the spirit faction matriarch.

"Is this Phantom the same as the one who gave Kurumi her title? If so what's her motive? I need to keep an eye on the spirit faction. They could be dangerous, I need to ensure Kurumi's safety.

Sorry that there wasn't much content in this one, and only Information. Although I didn't want to do this I feel I needed to do this to make the world setting more clear and harder for me to create any plotholes. Next chapter will more than likely have content and get the ball moving.
