Chapter 19

After all Duel Orders aren't easy to get, normally requiring a B Rating or higher so anyone who manages to get one definitely aren't weaklings like the Evil Cultivators.

''Forget it, go to sleep and think about it tomorrow.''

Today had been a long day for Zach, so he quickly went to bed.

Unbeknownst to him his deeds today had surprised someone in particular.

Floating in the sky, a beautiful female figure was followed by a loyal old butler. Below her a blood filled scene was being cleaned up by some local authorities.

''I didn't expect that kid to be so ruthless. Young Miss should we report it to the school?''

''Haha! No way. I have been looking for someone to do my dirty work for me for a while, so I changed my mind on recruiting him.''

However Sarah actually laughed. A bell-like laughter spread around the surroundings like a siren's call.

Even the Butler's eyes turned fuzzy for a minute before recovering.

Zach woke up the next day, not knowing he had become the target for recruitment by Sarah.

Feeling refreshed he quickly took a shower and got changed, rushing out to his first class, a lesson on the importance of unpredictability.

''Welcome back, Class! In light of yesterday's tournament I would like to go over some key points with you in order to assist your performance in future duels and combats.''

At the front of the class the Female teacher looked slightly bored. In fact she had received a large sum of 10,000 System Points yesterday when Mikey was raised to the Elite Class.

Because of this she had basically lost interest in the ordinary students in front of her that are likely to remain Mortals!

''When you are competing in a Duel, you should never feel sure of what your opponent has. Even if you use a Spying Scroll and believe your attributes are higher, there are many things that can affect your descendants strength.''

''One of the most important things is Cultivation Skills. While your a Mortal it is hard to make the most out of a Cultivation Skill, but as soon as you become a Cultivator there are thousands of variations for the same technique!''

Zach listened to it occasionally, taking notes. All of this was quite important, especially when he saw a live example of it yesterday.

The Silver Son of Luck Frederick was killed by a surprise attack due to his overconfidence.

If Thailia had equal strength to Zach but one of his strongest Generals were killed by a Sneak attack it would've been devastating!

''It is very important that you take some time to learn common attack patterns of your enemies, and to broaden your knowledge on Cultivation Techniques and methods of attack in order to increase your chances of winning in the future.''

''To do this you can participate in battles, watch some recordings of larger tournaments or even try to get in the audience of as many duels as you can.''

Quickly the lesson came to an end, and Zach left the hall. However this time he didn't return to his room, instead heading to the school library.

Although his Hunting Talent increased, it only let him understand and analyse the knowledge he hadn't understood in his brain from the School Lessons.

In actuality it just makes his comprehension and understanding of Hunting increase so he still needs to learn the knowledge!

Thinking of this Zach arrived at the large school library, easily filled with thousands of books and hundreds of students bustling around.

He quickly walked over, picked up a book on the basics of Animal's environments and sat down on a small desk and began to read.

''Interesting''

In the corner of the library, a female figure was covered with a faint aura making her body seemingly invisible.

Her eyes were fixed on Zach as a green spell began to spread from her palms. The green light flew through the air, and before long the Butler appeared beside her.

''Deliver this note.''

She casually passed a piece of paper to the Butler before vanishing.

The Butler still bowed, grabbing the paper and vanishing.

''Huh.''

Zach jumped up from his chair. Without him knowing it a piece of paper had gotten placed inside his book!

{Nice to meet you, I saw what you did last night. It was very interesting. I didn't expect a Ordinary student like you to hide so deeply.

Now don't worry about who I am, I have no intention of reporting you but I have a proposition for you. Attached to this note there is a picture and a set of information.

I want you to kill the person listed, in return you will receive appropriate compensation. If you are interested in the proposal please turn to the next page and look at the information provided.

If you are not interested, place the paper back on the desk and someone will be there to collect it.}

''What?!''

Zach was shocked. He didn't expect that someone had seen him last night! And he definitely didn't expect to be recruited to kill someone.

He wasn't worried he would be reported, at most it would reveal his strength. But he was intrigued as to this mission.

Someone with the strength to deliver this letter secretly is definitely a Cultivator and not a weak one!

''Screw it.''

Zach thought about it before turning the page.

A picture of an adult man in a construction uniform appeared.

{Name: Norbit

Realm: Mortal

Degree of Danger: None

Info- A Construction worker with the Linksided Construction crew. As a member of a Family of 4 the Assassination will need to be performed either at his work place or eliminate the family as a whole.

Reward: 1,000 System Points delivered directly upon confirmation of the successful assassination.}

Zach saw a few more pages of information and quickly read through it. The further he got the more terrified he was!

Every step of the man's life was recorded, including an estimation about his Attributes, no higher than ten in each attribute; however his information was scarily accurate.

It gave details about his suspected experiences in the World of Development, his friends and associates, and his daily activities.

Everything was recorded!

'Clunk'

Just as Zach was focusing on request, a clunking sound came from the desk in front of him.

He looked over only to see a bronze mask appear on the desk! Large enough to cover his face while leaving his eyes and mouth open.

Curiously he reached over and grabbed the mask but as soon as he touched it, it flooded into his body appearing beside the scythe and the robe in his mind!

''A soul weapon? Hisss who's so generous?''

Zach suddenly became conflicted. 1,000 System Points to kill a Mortal is incredible not to mention the added attributes as a reward.

If it wasn't for the unknown source of the income he would be tempted to do it immediately.

''Haha does it matter? If these people wanted to I would be dead immediately why would they waste their time hiring me like this?''

Quickly countless thoughts flashed through Zachs head.

BlueStar isn't a peaceful place, there are constant fights between sects and different forces. It isn't hard to understand that whoever it is is attempting to recruit him.

''But are they worthy of recruiting me?''

Zach's self confidence came out, with the Son of Luck Plug-In he was destined to become a powerhouse in this world if he manages to survive, who is qualified to recruit him?

However something deep inside him told him that if he missed this chance he would recruit it.

{Please Sign Here: Zach West.}

In the end he signed the bottom of the Contact. Suddenly he felt a strange force link himself with the Contract in front of him.

Although there was no pure binding force to make him complete the mission, he could sense that as soon as he did another mission would replace this one and he would get his reward!

''Truly magical methods.''

Zach felt the peerless binding of the contract in front of him. If he hadn't read it carefully and the writer had ill will towards him he could've signed his soul away!

At the same time the contract appeared in the space beside the Soul Weapons, whenever Zach wanted the information would pour into his mind.

''Forget it, there are many magical means.''

''Finish reading then complete the mission.''

Zach checked the time. 4 PM. According to the information he received Norbit was still at work and wasn't finishing until 6.

Zach sat in the Library for an hour before he left the school premises. Slowly he headed towards the outskirts of town.

Unlike the busy centre the outskirts were similar to an old-fashioned village. There were lots of small cramped alleys and poor quality houses.

Zach leaned leisurely in a small alleyway. Suddenly a green light flashed and a black robe appeared around his body with a hood covering his head.

A copper mask and a large Scythe appeared in his hands. As soon as the mask landed on his face Zach felt a strange energy travel through his throat distorting the sound of his voice.

''Such an interesting purpose.''

A deep and raspy voice came out of his throat as he crouched in the darkness.

Slowly time ticked, landing at 6:20 Pm. And as if like clockwork Zach heard a manly voice followed by a flirtatious giggling.

''Come on baby let me come to your house!''

''Nooo you can't to that what if your wife notices that your missing?''

''Haha she won't she's too busy with the kids!''

Zach turned his eyes towards the entrance of the alley. And sure enough a bald man with a long beard held a woman drenched in makeup in his arms.

Her short and skimpy dress left little to the imagination but it didn't affect Zach's concentration.

According to the information, Norbit will enter this alley with his side chick every day and do some unmentionable activities.

''Haha this information is really accurate.''

''Huh whos there?''

Just then Norbit was distracted by a deep and raspy voice. Turning his eyes in horror he saw a figure slowly walk out of the darkness.

Dressed in a black ancient robe with a hood over his head and a bronze mask over his face he looked like a demon with a glowing Scythe.

''Oh? You don't need to worry about that.''

Zach just chuckled, making him sound even eviler.

''Die for me.''

Zach didn't hesitate, rushing forward the Scythe in his hand spinning as he charged towards the man.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
