Tutorial Battle!

Leon heard the notification and stopped what he was doing. He had been browsing through the CPU while talking.

Leon hurriedly checked his Ultimate Skill.

Congratulations, Leon, you've received the 'Ultimate Skill [𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐲 & 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞]!

Leon found the name a little strange, he quickly checked the information of this skill.

Leon's mouth almost dropped to the ground, wasn't this skill too amazing?! He was no longer so worried about buying skills.

'What skill could he have gotten?' Auriel saw a great change in Leon's demeanor. He must have gotten something really good, but what Ultimate Skill wasn't good?

"Ahem! These Ultimate Skills are worth it!" Even if he failed to buy certain skills in the shop, couldn't he just copy other people's skills?

Leon viewed his status window.

"It looks like it is done, it's time for you to enter the tutorial battle. There is no time to lose, you've been here too long." Auriel clapped her hand and a portal opened in the void.

"Wait! I need to gear up before fighting whatever monsters I have to face." Leon hurriedly said.

"Hmm, alright, you have 2 minutes." Auriel crossed her arm and smirked.

Leon immediately tore all three of his F-rank gear cards.

"Dang, it! No wonder I can't carry it!" Leon was speechless. He could only place it into his [Storage Pouch] for the time being.

"Alright, are you ready? If you are, you may step right on through." Auriel said.

Leon nodded and stepped through the portal, but before that—Auriel explained how he could use his skills. Leon simply had to think about the skill he wanted to use before casting it.

With that, Leon finally stepped through the portal. Once he was through he arrived inside of a small room that appeared to be some sort of battle ring.

Suddenly, three monsters spawned before Leon.

These hounds appeared to be composed of data. They were made up of numbers such as 101001. Or what Leon would describe it, coding of some sort—similar to the matrix.

'Their stats are all higher than mine except mana.'

"Grrr!" The hound lowered its head as growls escaped their throats.

Leon instantly summoned two [White Knights] for combat. This Tutorial Hound's stats were beyond his, so it was best to use minions in such a straightforward fight.

Besides, they outnumbered him.

This was why he bought them anyway, to avoid being in the crossfires of direct battle. Fortunately, Leon was blessed with enough mana and could summon the maximum number of White knights with ease.

-Name: White Knight

-LV: 0

-Race: Holy

-Physique: Vitality: 12(F-)| Strength: 10(F-)| Defense: 12(F-)| Speed: 8(F-)| Mana: 10|

-Innate Skills: Night Vision

These White Knights looked empty, there was no living being inside of them. This skill was actually a rare Light Element summoning skill. They both wielded a simple Sword and nothing more.

The Tutorial Hounds dashed toward both knights.

"Attack! Kill those dogs! Slash them apart!" Leon quickly ordered.

However, after reading up on the Tutorial Hound's skill information Leon made a decision.

"Don't kill one of them, hold one of them down for me," Leon added.

The White Knight's movements were fast, at least this was how Leon saw it. However, such movements were actually quite slow and stiff.

But they were faster than the Tutorial Hounds. At that moment, one of the Tutorial Hounds rushed over, baring its teeth.

White Knight Sword quickly slashed horizontally and tore the Tutorial Hound's head off.

Seeing this, one of the Tutorial Hound's speed increased greatly. It had activated the Skill [Quick Burst], which gave it a short and quick burst of speed in a straight line.

The Tutorial Hound slammed into one of the White Knights. Unfortunately for the Hound, the White Knight remained unmoved.

Leon smiled, his White Knights had high defense and the [Physical Resistance] Skill.

What could these Hounds do?

The Hound seemed stunned and tried to react to the situation. But no matter how much it reacted or tried, it could do nothing in front of absolute power.

The White Knight grabbed the Tutorial Hound by the neck. Afterward, the second White Knight's sword stabbed over toward the grappled Hound and killed it.

The third Tutorial Hound seemed to have figured out something. It looked in Leon's direction.

'This guy must be weak if he's hiding in the back, right? Why don't I kill him instead?'

"Guys! Stop it and hold him down!" Leon had a bad feeling, this dog was looking in his direction.

Unfortunately, the Tutorial Hound used its skill [Quick Burst]. This skill also doubled its speed, which outdid both [White Knights].

Leon's expression changed, this thing was trying to kill him as a last-ditch effort.

The Tutorial Hound's speed couldn't be seen by Leon at all—not even a shadow.

The Tutorial Hound smashed into something hard, which made it joyous. However, it felt pain from the collision.

It looked to see what happened but found that it had smashed into something else.

This wasn't the fat weakling it had hoped to smash to pieces. The Hound was grabbed by a large rocky hand, which quickly suppressed it.

The large entity didn't crush the hound but held it firmly in its large grip. Yes, you probably guessed it, this was the [Summoned Golem] that Leon had bought as a summons.

It was a [Rock Golem] that stood 3 meters tall.

"Good job." Seeing this, Leon sighed in relief.

Leon walked over to the Tutorial Hound that was struggling with all its might. However, such a struggle was futile in the hands of the [Rock Golem's] strength.

Leon touched the Hound and shortly after, two skill cards floated in from of him. These skills were from the Tutorial Hound of course, and he could only choose one to copy.

Leon obviously chose [Quick Burst]. By this point, both White Knights were standing in front of the Rock Golem.

Summoning the [White Knights] burned 10 Mana each, while the [Rock Golem] burned 15 Mana points.

Leon inspected his new skill.

---

Quick Burst: Doubles the speed of the user for a short duration. This move can only be performed in a straight line.

Afterward, Leon turned to the Rock Golem and inspected its stats as well.

"Crush it!" Seeing the Golem Stats, Leon nodded before commanding it.

Immediately after, the Tutorial Hound was crushed and turned into data. Leon also noticed that he had leveled up to 1 and was given 10 Attribute Points.

The first level always gave 10 points, while the rest would be 5 until he reached 10, 20, 30, 40, and so forth. Once he reached those levels, he would be given 10 Attribute Points.

"Congratulations, Leon, you've passed the tutorial!" Auriel appeared out of the Black hole and said happily.

"Yes, thanks, if those dogs were smarter I might have been in a bit of trouble." Leon was relieved, but the last Hound seemed to have been enlighted at the last moment.

"Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter now because you can now enter the Dungeon. Most people have already entered and a lot have already died and were sent home."

'I figured this much, but how many died exactly?' He thought.

"Oh, you wish to know? Here is the number of trialists so far. This includes the number of people who've died in the Dungeon as well."

Auriel had flashed and showed a holo screen with the number of trialists. Leon's eyes dilated when he saw the number of people remaining.

Trialists Remaining: 12,211/1,000,000

The number had taken a steep nose dive compared to before, like a major nose dive! Leon couldn't emphasize it any more than that, it was so shocking.

Auriel chuckled and said. "Most of these people were actually killed in this trial against the Tutorial Hounds."

Leon believed it and understood why. These Hounds had higher stats than any trialists, so the odds were stacked against them.

Most people didn't think to buy summon entities to fight for them. They probably bought power offensive skills instead.

"Some were actually fortunate, while others used their wits to outsmart the Hounds."

Auriel could see many scenes appear in her head as she recalled all of these events.

"Alright! It's time to head to the Dungeon." Without warning, the scenery abruptly changed around Leon and Auriel.
