Spurius revealed a worried expression as he saw the golem strike down with both of his heavy hands the hands of the giant golem hit the ground where Spurius was standing luckily He had dodged mere seconds before it hit him Suprius appeared a safe distance away from the golem, the golem looked down to see nothing but dust and a deep hole in the ground the giant's attack had caused a huge impact on the land.
Spurius upon seeing the giant's strength sighed and threw his red rapier away and clapped his hands the clap caused the skies to split and thunder to wreak havoc upon the land before the golem and the man could react a powerful thunder strike shot down right in front of Spurius. sparks flew throughout the air slowly disappearing revealing a blue sword surrounded by lighting sparks Spurius revealed a grin and slowly picked up the sword 'Ahh my trusted ally Vortex praise the lady Leizi' as he praised the lady he looked up upon the thunder and bowed thunder danced through the sky as of pleased by his praise soon it was gone as nothing happened.
The man revealed an annoyed expression as he looked at the blue sword and thunder 'This is the trump card of the torch? how wonderful I can already imagine the amount of praise I'll get for killing a strong chosen like you I'll probably get promoted' he giggled as he said the last words. Spurius no longer wished to waste any time talking with this man he vanished from his spot and appeared again in front of the golem he was aiming for the heart of the golem it was the only way to finish it as he plunged Vortex deep into the heart of the golem aiming to kill it. *CLANG* right before it hit the golem's heart the man bent down and punched the ground the ground started moving as spikes made of rock moved towards Spurius blocking his way to the heart 'You aren't just fighting him' the man said in a rather antagonizing tone
Spurius dodged as he backflipped off the spikes hitting the ground he looked up instead of saying the sky he saw the golem striking him down he lifted his sword and blocked the strike the sound the two beings made as they clashed was heard from every corner of the forest. Spurius looked down to see red fluid coming from his nose he was bleeding before he could react the man was running towards him with his fist covered in heavy rock Spurius seeing the situation had no choice but to stop holding back right before the man got to him a heavy thunder strike descended upon where Spurius was. the golem had no time to dodge losing one of his arms the man stopped running as he took a defensive stance thinking he was next in line luckily for him no thunder hit he looked up to see a man in bluish yellowish cloak the dust revealed the man to be Spurius now rocking a cloak purely made out of thunder.
'Mother Leizi I thank you for this gift you've given me this loyal subject shall join you in the afterlife soon enough' With each sentence he said thunder roared in the sky as if echoing his life his body slowly lifted itself from the ground as if trying to reach the heavens themselves. The man looked upon this godly man levitating in the sky as thunder echoed in his voice he felt as if kneeling he felt as if he wasn't worthy of looking upon Spurius he gritted his teeth as he screamed 'WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE SOME SORT OF GOD YOU'LL DIE LIKE THE REST OF YOUR CLAN' as he finished screaming he laid both of his hands on the golem slowly the man started to shrink and look weaker as the golem started to grow and look stronger the man was giving his life force to the golem hoping it'll defeat the god-like man
Finally, the man who was once a young man now looked like an elderly man he had given most of his life force to the golem speaking of the golem it was now standing at 60 feet tall the golem looked upon the levitating man with an angered expression it threw its only remaining fist at the man the fist flying towards the man ripping the air around it. The man looked at the fist with an annoyed expression as if it was beneath him he raised his pointing finger towards the sky and slowly descended it towards the golem with it came thunder a mighty strike of untamable thunder cracked the air as if trying to rip space apart to reach its target which it did it hit the golem right in the heart.
The elderly man looked as his golem slowly turned into nothing but dust as it shrank he knew the battle was over he closed his eyes as he felt a powerful aura fly towards him soon he opened his eyes to see the man levitating above him looking down at him ' you've won finish it already' The elderly man declared he had no more fighting spirit in him. Thunder once again cracked in the sky as the man spoke 'Who ordered the attack on our family' The elderly man revealed a surprised expression as he looked up at him 'Obviously the royal family who else could send so many soldiers to destroy a powerful family?'
Spurius as a high-ranking member of the clan knew that the royal family was not pleased with the dire clan becoming so powerful they couldn't control it anymore the shocking news came as no surprise to him. he looked at the elderly man and let his thunderous voice speak up 'is there anyone powerful with you?' the elderly man shivered and looked down and spoke 'T-the royal family brought the dark wizard Loer' the fear in the elderly mans voice was something quickly noticed by the Spurius he raised his eyebrow and asked 'who is this Loer?' the elderly man shivered once more hearing that name combined with the thunder almost made him pass out 'he's one of the teachers at the vera academy..'
Spurius revealed a confused expression why would the royal family send one of their teachers as of this Loer he's never heard of him Still he was no stranger to the Vera Academy it was named after the first emperor of the Vera Empire the empire they were currently at. it was one of the strongest forces of this world second only to the Aetherian Empire an empire ruled by a ruthless man who was rumored to have reached the peak of human power.
Spurius thought to himself 'To become a teacher of the Academy is no joke he must be strong I should hurry up and kill this old man and reach my lady' As he finished his thoughts he looked at the man and blinked suddenly his whole body turned into a pure ball of thunder. The ball of thunder moved as it got closer to the elderly man he felt that death was slowly calling his name he closed his eyes and thought about his family and the reasons he fought was it worth it to leave his family without a father and a husband? the ball of thunder went into the elderly man's body and went out as if passing through It the ball went further into the direction the woman with the baby ran as for the elderly man his whole body fell his eyes lifeless he was dead.
